International composer Mike Alrue has been one of the most celebrated composers worldwide, thanks to his enormous amount of releases, song collections, and participation in major artistic projects.
Born in Spain but raised in Mexico since the age of 13 years old, Miguel Alonso, better known as Mike Alrue has earned a global following thanks to vivid creativity and versatility as a composer who can create an astonishing range of genres and moods through his unique sound. His older brother was a professional classically trained pianist, which helped Mike Alrue instantly feel familiar with the music.
Mike Alrue also holds a degree in Hydrobiology from the Metropolitan University of Xochimilco, Mexico, and he has also extensively studied music composition.
He is one of the very few composers worldwide who can effortlessly create music that belongs to a wide variety of genres: from Classic and Acoustic Rock to New Age, Ethnic, Jazz, Classical, and Contemporary Gospel.
He has composed 2500 jingles for both the American and Hispanic market and has worked with the biggest brands such as Hallmark Cards, Kodak, McDonald’s, CSK Auto, Fry’s Markets, Good Samaritan Hospital, Iberia Airlines, Chevrolet, The Arizona Lottery, SCF Arizona, and many more.
Apart from creating jingles, Mike Alrue has scored music for more than 25 movies and documentaries, including HBO’s “Shadow Trap”, CBS’ “Welcome Maria”, and the animated series “Captain Cousteau”, which was a dream come true because as a marine biologist and scuba diver, he always wanted to meet the famous explorer of the ocean, Captain Jacques Cousteau.
