Though many speculated that many artists would hold off from releasing new music until the pandemic is over and touring is actually feasible, it’s been nearly two months and the majority of the game’s heavy-hitters have blessed us with new music. Drake and The Weeknd both released new projects as did Lil Uzi Vert. Shit, Jay Electronica even dropped his debut album. All of that to say, the pandemic has still proved fruitful in the world of hip-hop.

This Friday, another heavy hitter will come out with a brand new album. According to a press release from the label, Future’s set to release his eighth studio album, High Off Life this Friday. Though he initially announced that the album would share the same name as his collab with Drake, “Life Is Good,” it seems like there was a change of plans. Drake is, of course, set to appear on the project but other collaborations include DaBaby, Lil Baby, Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, Travis Scott, and more. DJ Esco will also be serving as the official executive producer.
So there you have it — a new album from Future arriving less than a week after Mother’s Day. Be prepared for the levels of toxic masculinity to hit an all-time high right before Father’s Day rolls around.
