NewJeans/NJZ have dropped a remake of the iconic ’80s Coca-Cola advertisement song, ‘I Feel Coke’, in partnership with the company.
The remake was released on March 13 alongside an accompanying music video filled with references and callbacks to the original iconic advertisement. ‘I Feel Coke’ first began airing in 1987 in Japan and featured a handful of famous Japanese singers.
The advertisement would later be widely considered a visual representation of Japan’s economic golden age in the 1980s, and won several advertising awards. The same song was later commissioned for a Korean version in support of the Seoul Olympics in 1988.
“What always feels new is Coca-Cola / That always refreshing taste / I feel Coke,” they croon on the nostalgic song’s chorus.

The 2025 ‘I Feel Coke’ remake by NJZ marks the quintet’s first music since they announced their rebrand earlier this year, which occurred after they terminated their contracts with ADOR and HYBE last November.
It also comes shortly after the band releasing snippets of new upcoming music on their independent Instagram page, which also featured new logos for the band and each member.
NJZ set to preview new music during their upcoming headlining ComplexCon set, which will also be their first as NJZ. “It’s a big moment for us and we can’t wait for fans to be a part of this journey with us and show the world our new music that we have been eagerly waiting to share,” Minji said in a press release.
Last week, NJZ attended the first-ever hearing for the injunction ADOR filed in an attempt to prevent the group from pursuing independent brand deals and entertainment activities. In response, around 30,000 fans of the band submitted a petition calling for the court to dismiss the label’s injunction on March 13, saying it would only “prolong the members’ agony”.
