Sparta have officially announced a comprehensive UK and European tour scheduled for October 2026, aimed at celebrating the release of their highly anticipated sixth studio album, Cut A Silhouette. The band is set to bring their signature alt-rock sound to a variety of venues, beginning with a performance in Dublin.
The new record, which arrives on May 29 via Equal Vision/Rude Records, has already been teased by the lead single, ‘Everything You Say’. The album promises a return to the band’s core creative chemistry and features notable guest contributions from Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance, Kemble Walters of Chevelle, and Carlos Arévalo of Chicano Batman.
Reflecting on the upcoming tour, frontman Jim Ward expressed his enthusiasm for the return to the road. “There is no better feeling than hopping on a plane to cross an ocean to play music. The gift of travel, friends, sweat and rock and roll is one that I’ll be forever grateful for,” Ward stated. “This new record is a special one; it’s something you can’t plan for, but when the stars align, and the songs come together, you’ve got to just go, go, go – so we will.”
The tour will see the band traverse the UK, with stops in Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, and London, before heading to mainland Europe for shows in Paris, Cologne, and Hamburg, ultimately concluding in Kortrijk, Belgium, on October 22.
The inspiration for the album’s title stems from a documentary about the late comedian John Candy, in which Macaulay Culkin described Candy’s presence as something that “just entered your brain and cut a silhouette.” Ward noted that the phrase resonated deeply with his vision for the band’s latest musical chapter.
