Jon Bon Jovi has provided a definitive update on his health following a period of uncertainty regarding his ability to return to the stage. The frontman has confirmed that he is now “fully recovered” from the major vocal cord surgery he underwent in 2022.
Reflecting on the challenging recovery process in a recent interview with People, the singer admitted that the journey back to full vocal health took longer than he had initially anticipated. “It was longer than I’d ever expected, but it had to be right. We never lost faith,” he stated.
The singer also expressed deep gratitude for the unwavering support of his bandmates throughout his rehabilitation. “They never doubted me and never looked for work or decided to retire. The sacrifices that each one of them have made to be there for me is on a whole ’nother level,” he said. “Every day of every rehearsal they were there with me. My love for them has only deepened.”

This update comes as a relief to fans, especially following the band’s 2024 release of their album Forever. He had previously described the slow progress of his recovery as frustrating, noting that the band was rehearsing cautiously to monitor his improvement.
With his health now restored, the band is moving forward with a series of highly anticipated performances. The upcoming schedule includes a residency at New York’s Madison Square Garden, followed by a run of shows across the UK and Ireland, including dates at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium, Dublin’s Croke Park, and London’s Wembley Stadium.
