Penomeco is in a rare position right now—post-label, post-crew, but somehow more expansive than ever. His latest single, “My Chick,” featuring Lil Cherry, feels like a recalibration of what artistic freedom can sound like when it isn’t forced to prove itself. It’s raw, confident, and self-contained—a mission statement disguised as a late-night ride.
This isn’t about genre exploration so much as genre erosion. There are traces of Afrobeats woven into the percussion, but they’re filtered through Penomeco’s restless instincts. The verses stretch, contract, and warp around the beat like he’s reprogramming it as he goes. It feels less like a studio cut and more like a transmission—an artist thinking out loud and turning that thought into melody.
Lil Cherry doesn’t provide a hook or a break—she provides friction. Her verse swings with Miami-born attitude and Seoul-honed edge, destabilizing any predictable rhythm the track might settle into. She’s not there to balance Penomeco out; she’s there to amplify the disruption. That’s the genius of the collaboration—it’s two artists refusing to compromise on tone, tempo, or tone of voice.

Psy unveils animated teaser for new track ‘Happier’, featuring Crush
South Korean singer Psy has previewed a snippet of his new song ‘Happier’, featuring K-R&B singer-songwriter Crush.

The animated teaser follows the life of a man from birth, who begins to lose sight of happiness as he grows older, panting as he desperately tries to keep up with the rat race as a snippet of the song plays.
“I wanna be happier / I wanted to be someone’s love / I wanted to be proud,” the duo sing in the short clip. ‘Happier’ will be the eighth track of Psy’s upcoming comeback record, ‘Psy 9th’.
‘Psy 9th’ is due out on April 29, and will mark the end of the singer’s five-year absence from music. The star will be revealing the album’s track list one song at a time. According to his latest incomplete graphic of the track list, the album will feature five other artists besides Crush.
He has also shared another music video teaser for ‘Everyday’, the tenth song off the upcoming 12-track record. That teaser had featured archival footage of the crowds at the singer’s past concerts.
A year after the release of his eighth full-length album ‘Psy 8th 4X2=8’ in 2017, the singer left longtime agency YG Entertainment. Psy later established his own company P Nation in early 2019, and in the same year he signed Korean-American rapper and singer Jessi, HyunA and former PENTAGON member DAWN to the label.
P Nation now houses several other notable South Korean stars, including Crush, Heize, Penomeco and Swings. The agency has also previously shared plans to debut its first boyband later this year.
IU reveals retro teaser clip for upcoming single ‘Coin’
K-pop veteran IU has dropped yet another teaser clip from her upcoming album ‘LILAC’, this time for the single ‘Coin’.

The clip features scenes of the singer at a poker table, and a snippet of slick choreography. “I can’t die / I’m all-in”, IU sings in the visual over a horn-laden harmony, mirroring the confident and charismatic image she portrays in the teaser.
‘Coin’ is one of two title tracks from her upcoming fifth studio album, ‘LILAC’. Both the song and teh album are set to be released on March 25. Earlier this month, IU also released previews for ‘Flu’ and the album’s other title track, ‘LILAC’.
The soloist also offered a taste of the upcoming project with the single ‘Celebrity’ back in January. In a glowing four-star review, NME‘s Sofiana Ramli called the tune an elegant synth pop toast to imperfections” that features a “delicate and bittersweet centre”.
The 10-track record will be IU’s first full-length album since 2017’s ‘Palette’. She released the mini-album ‘Love Poem’ in 2019, which featured the tracks ‘Blueming’ and ‘Lullaby’, and released the single ‘Eight’ featuring Suga of BTS last year.
Earlier this month, IU released the tracklist for ‘LILAC’, revealing that the album will include a collaboration with Soth Korean R&B singer DEAN on the song ‘TROLL’. The song features writing credits from IU and DEAN, who also co-composed the track with Park Woo Sang and JUNNY. Other contributors on ‘LILAC’ include Ryan S. Jhun, Naul, WOOGIE, PENOMECO, AKMU’s Lee Chan Hyuk and PEEJAY.
