If you grew up in the 90s, then you are well-aware of all the color palets that were used during that time. Neon purples and blues were quite popular which is something Nike and Jordan Brand took notice of. The first Jordan sneaker of the 90s was the Air Jordan 5 and one of the OG colorways had that purple and turquoise aesthetic. This colorway was dubbed “Grape” and immediately became a huge hit amongst fans. Over the years, there have been plenty of retros of this shoe but now, it seems like Jumpman is taking things a step further with the Air Jordan 5 “Alternate Grape.”
Official images of the show have dropped courtesy of Finish Line and as you can see, it is covered in purple nubuck while black and turquoise hits are found all the way throughout. It is certainly a flashy look but if you’re a big fan of 90s nostalgia, you really can’t go wrong with these.
If you were hoping to get your hands on these, they will be dropping on July 7th for $190 USD. Let us know in the comments below whether or not you plan on copping.
