Though Young Dolph recently contemplated retirement from the game, it would appear an unfinished bucket list has kept from making the commitment. As it happens, Dolph has been actively seeking a collaboration with the legendary Dr. Dre, who has remained one of the game’s most selective producers, opting to work almost exclusively with Aftermath artists like Eminem and Anderson .Paak. Yet Dolph is not one to be deterred from his efforts, going so far as to dip into the reserves and present the good Doctor with a sizeable offer.

“Everybody go over to @drdre page rite now and tell him I said I got 100k for him for one of those hard-ass beats,” writes Dolph, taking to Instagram to issue a call-to-action. And while the support was indeed heavy, as was the appreciation for Dolph’s musical taste, so too was the skepticism; as many were quick to point out, the notorious perfectionist isn’t exactly firing off new beats on a willy-nilly basis, and a one-hundred thousand dollar offer might not be enough to pull the near-billionaire into the studio.

On the other hand, it’s entirely possible that Dre respect’s Dolph enough to acquiesce. Should that be the case, the potential for an incredible song is certainly high — Dre is no stranger to hard-hitting gangsta-rap bangers, and seeing him take it back to those days for a Dolph duet would be a welcome turn of events. Michael Jordan has been getting a lot of attention lately thanks to ESPN’s “The Last Dance” documentary. The docuseries is a look inside of the mind of MJ as he took on one of the biggest challenges of his career during the 1997-98 season. His Chicago Bulls were going through plenty of trials and tribulations during that season and they are all on full display in this brand new TV series.

According to Steve Aschburner of NBA.com, there was one story from the documentary that was left out for TV audiences. The story in question was actually quite sinister and involved a malicious Minnesota Timberwolves fan. As the story goes, the Bulls were beating the T-Wolves at halftime when a fan called the Target Center claiming to be Jordan’s brother. The man lied and said MJ’s mother was in the hospital. When Jordan was alerted of this, he spent minutes trying to contact his family and missed parts of the third quarter. Of course, he quickly found out it was all a hoax.

By the time he came back into the game, he was so shaken up that he couldn’t hit a shot and the Timberwolves eventually stole the game. It was a pretty awful prank to pull especially on a player that had lost his father just years prior.

In the end, things worked out for Jordan that season as the Bulls eventually won the championship. So much for the prank caller.

The coronavirus has already affected millions of people worldwide, and even some world leaders have been hit by the potentially deadly virus. On March 27th, United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson was diagnosed with COVID-19; at the time, many weren’t entirely surprised, given that Johnson previously admitted to shaking hands with several coronavirus patients. Things took an alarming turn when reports indicated that Johnson had been placed in the ICU, leaving Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab to take over in his stead.

Three weeks removed from his hospital stay, Johnson has officially returned to work. Standing outside of 10 Downing Street, Johnson gave a full address, beginning with an apology for lost time. “I’m sorry I’ve been away from my desk much longer than I would have liked,” he says, in a near-ten minute speech. “Every day I know this virus brings new sadness and mourning to households across the land. And it is still true that this is the biggest single challenge this country has faced since the war.”

“It is also true we are making progress, with fewer hospital admissions,” he continues. “Fewer COVID patients in ICU, and real signs now that we are passing through the peak. Thanks to your forbearance, your good sense, your altruism, your spirit of community, thanks to our collective national resolve, we are on the brink of achieving that first clear mission: to prevent our national health service from being overwhelmed in a way we have tragically seen elsewhere.”

Last night, basketball fans were blessed with another two episodes of "The Last Dance" which is the documentary that follows Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls during their championship run in the 1997-98 season. Episodes three and four were heavily dedicated to none other than Dennis Rodman who was known as basketball's best rebounder, as well as a man who loved to party and live his own life.

As MJ describes, there was a moment during the 97-98 season where Rodman stopped caring about basketball and asked the team for a vacation. Typically, you can't just take a vacation in the middle of the season but head coach Phil Jackson made the exception and let Rodman go to Las Vegas for 48 hours.

Jordan was very skeptical about Rodman coming back on time and his skepticism was eventually validated. In the end, it took Rodman a full 81 hours before Jordan and Jackson hopped on a flight to Vegas and brought him back to Chicago themselves. Hilariously enough, Rodman was still in good shape as he was outrunning all of his teammates in practice.

This Rodman story was certainly the highlight of the latest batch of episodes and some incredible memes came out of it, as well. Check out some of those memes, below.

Tekashi 6ix9ine has only been out of prison for a few weeks but, already, he's focused on getting back to his old status as the self-proclaimed King of New York. His legal team has revealed that he is currently working on two albums simultaneously -- one English and one Spanish -- and the first snippet of new music has officially arrived a leak.

It is unclear how this got in the hands of somebody else, or if this is even recent, but an unreleased song by Tekashi 6ix9ine has appeared online in ten-second format. Still, fans will get a good idea of what's to come from the boisterous Brooklynite.

Keeping his flow intact and yelling into the microphone, 6ix9ine appears to be reigniting the same formula that got him so many Billboard hits before he was known nationwide as a government informant. The song, titled "Bently," is rumored to be featured on 6ix9ine's upcoming album, which will be released through 10K Projects. 

This sounds like it could have been a left-over from Dummy Boy but it is being reported as a new recording on social media. 6ix9ine has not commented on the nature of the leak or when/if it will be released yet.

Dr. Fauci got his wish. Earlier in the month, the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases joked that he wanted actor Brad Pitt to play him on SNL, and that’s what exactly happened this weekend.

For this Saturday’s in-home edition of SNL, Brad Pitt served as a guest where he played Dr. Anthony Fauci. In a grey wig and wire-frame glasses, Pitt (as Fauci) fact checked all of Trump’s ridiculous statements he has said to the American people about the coronavirus, including his most recent remarks about suggesting we try to get “light inside the body” or pursue some way of injecting disinfectant. “When I hear things like ‘the virus can be cured if everyone takes the Tide Pod challenge,’ I’ll be there to say, ‘Please don’t.’”

Pitt also mocked Trump’s promise early on in the coronavirus pandemic that “everybody gets a test” and that those tests are “beautiful.” “I don’t know if I would call the tests beautiful, unless your idea of beauty is having a cotton swab tickle your brain,” Pitt says in the clip. “Also, when he said, ‘everyone can get a test,’ he meant almost no one.”

Pitt then delivered a message to the real Dr. Fauci and all the first responders in America, thanking them for all their hard work. Check out the hilarious, yet true clip (below).

Tulane basketball player Teshaun Hightower was arrested Saturday and charged with murder in connection with a homicide in Stockbridge, Georgia, that took place earlier in April.

Hightower, Tulane’s leading scorer last season, was being held in the Henry County Jail without bail on Sunday. He is charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and battery. He was scheduled to appear in court Sunday morning.

As for the incident itself, it reportedly happened on April 8 when Hightower allegedly shot 24-year old Devante Anthony Long at an apartment complex. He later died at the hospital.

According to a Facebook post by the Henry County Police Department, Hightower is one of six men who were subjects in the homicide investigation. Five of the men were in custody on Sunday, including Hightower's brother, Jeffery. One man still hadn't been arrested, according to jail records

Tulane announced Sunday afternoon that Hightower had been dismissed from the team following his arrest. Hightower, a native of Lithonia, Georgia, transferred to Tulane last year after playing two seasons at Georgia. He announced April 18 that he was entering the NBA draft but still had one season of eligibility remaining.

After it was revealed by Forbes magazine that Kanye West's Yeezy brand has officially made him a billionaire, Lil Nas X teased that he was also among this elite group of excessively wealthy folks by welcoming Ye "to the club." It's not everyday that somebody becomes a billionaire, so when someone as high profile as Kanye West hits that milestone, you're sure to hear about it. On Friday, Forbes broke the news that Kanye is now, in fact, a billionaire, due largely to the success of his Yeezy sales.

Fellow music artist Lil Nas X caught wind of this major news, and decided to congratulate Kanye over social media with a little comedy bit. He took to Twitter to officially welcome Kanye "to the club," seemingly implying that he, at 21-years-old with a virtually newborn music career, was also a billionaire.

The coronavirus pandemic has shut down the world but while many simply have to stay home in an attempt to slow down the spread, prisons across the world have proven to be ill-equipped for such an emergency. Due to this, some inmates are being released early while others are being forced to cope with the situation behind bars.

Per All Hip Hop, One of the men accused of killing XXXTENTACION, Dedrick Williams, has wrote the judge a letter pleading to be released on bond until the current situation with coronavirus “blows over.” 

“I am sending you this letter to save my life. Recently a deputy at the Broward County main jail gave an inmate the coronavirus. This matter makes me afraid because my immune system is very weak. And here at the jail they aren’t testing anyone,” Williams wrote in a letter. “I am asking to be given a bond so I can avoid catching the coronavirus. Even if it’s only to be out on bond and have and house arrest until this disease blows over.”

He added, “I ask for this request so my children won’t be without a father and my mom without a son. Please and thank you judge and I hope that you and your family are safe as well.”

SZA was joined by her good friend Lizzo to guide a joint meditation session over Instagram live together in order to bring healing to the world during these difficult times. SZA is known for her commitments to centering one’s energy and maintaining that balance, and it looks like Lizzo is just as fond of that practice. The two talented songstresses conducted the 45-minute session while viewers at home followed along, and one of the key points that they emphasized while they meditated was the importance of self-care. SZA made sure to touch on how the collective heightened substance use taking place during quarantine can take a major toll on your body.

“All these drugs… like liquor, weed, all these things, they lower your immune system,” she said. “It f*cks with your ability to fight things off. Tobacco—I used to smoke spliffs all the time, I used to smoke Backwoods all the time. I stopped that sh*t. Why? It was bodying my ability to heal and, like, correct myself, and taking me 10 steps back every time I would make five steps forward.” SZA proceeded to play her Tibetan singing bowl as they moved on to the sound-healing part of the session, while Lizzo showed off her well-known chops on the flute. After they both took a break, Lizzo began explaining how she’s been dealing with her unhealthy relationship to social media while in quarantine, since it’s become so much harder to avoid.

“For me, this is a whole dimension—social media, the internet—it’s a whole other world,” she said. “And for me, it’s not the healthiest world to be in, especially as of late. But since we’ve been in our houses, this is my destination. This is where I go, this is where I go on vacation, mind breaks. And when I go to this place and I overindulge in it, it’s made me really sick. It’s made my perception of myself sick, it’s made my joy sick. And I don’t think I was putting myself first. So now I’m just doing little things.” Lizzo shared a snippet from their live stream on her Instagram, explaining the process of sound healing and thanking SZA for letting her join.

“As your heart beats, it sends a vibration through your body,” she wrote. “Imagine all the water and blood and organs in your body vibing to your heartbeat, like a drum.. again.. and again… The higher you vibrate, the higher your body can function.
