Could this be J. Cole's way of telling us that his album is about to drop?

During a performance at Day N Vegas Festival in Las Vegas last year, the globally-celebrated rap artist J. Cole teased that he would be releasing a brand new album soon. Performing in front of graphics that suggested the title of the project would be The Fall Off, we may finally be inching closer unlocking more new music from the North Carolina superstar.

You will recall that on Cole's last full-length album KOD, his sole feature was from kiLL edward. After pulling some detective work, it was revealed that the mysterious artist was actually just J. Cole himself, pitching his vocals and developing a new alter-ego.

Well, that alter-ego has officially returned for the first time in over one year, sending off a tweet and directing people to a private Instagram page.

Belonging to one of hip-hop's highest tiers, new music from J. Cole would excite practically every rap fan in the world. It would serve as a nice supplement to the sonics we've already gotten this year, with many anticipating that it would end up near the top of many "Best Of 2020" lists.

Rick Ross has been active in the rap game for two decades and, over time, he’s made a lot of money. Not only is the Miami legend a successful recording artist, but he’s also an author, an entrepreneur, a record executive, and more. The leader of Maybach Music Group, Ross has worked closely with Gunplay, Meek Mill, Wale, French Montana, and others. With all the accomplishments he’s celebrated over twenty years, a mogul like The Bawse deserves to unwind in a palace. Turns out, that’s exactly what he’s doing.

Rick Ross is lucky enough to call this place home, quarantining inside the most celestial looking Miami property. He recently showed off a photo of his yard after tending to the grass and, oh lord, it’s beautiful.

A gorgeous hedge garden surrounds a pond, which leads to the home’s entrance. The rapper’s initials are a central focus on the decoration, which extends to include what appears to be acres of land. A vast field is present to surround his crib, allowing him to get in a nice morning workout anytime he pleases.

Of course, Rozay needed to subtly flex one of his vintage cars, placing it at the end of the drive-way and proving how spacious his palace truly is.

Rich The Kid‘s legal problems are drumming up as his former managers are demanding a default judgment in their case against him. According to The Blast, Blueprint Artist Management is asking the judge to order Rich The Kid to pay them $1.6M after the rapper failed to appear in court. The management company claims that they’ve been waiting for him to show up ever since they served him with legal documents earlier this year. 

Blueprint initially filed legal documents against Rich The Kid on claims that he owes them $3.5M earlier this year. In hopes that he’d actually respond to their case, they’ve waited for him but now, they simply want a default judgment amounting to $1,617,958.

The company claimed that he inked a deal with them in 2017 that said they would receive 20% of his gross income. The rapper continued to face accusations of practicing bad business and not fulfilling his end of the deal. They said that the rapper refused to pay $960K in commission as well as $500K from a clause in the contract. Despite claims they “repeatedly demanded the payment of its long-overdue Commissions,” Rich The Kid didn’t respond and back in 2019, they sought after a $700K termination fee.

 “Paragraph 1 of the Termination Agreement provides that Roger shall pay Blueprint the sum of $700,000 according to the following schedule: $250,000 within 10 business days of the execution of the Termination Agreement; $200,000 on or before September 1, 2019; and $250,000 on or before November 1, 2019 (the “Settlement Payments”),” it reads in the contract.

With fame and status comes lawsuits. Ayesha Curry has built herself into a brand and celebrity in her own right, alongside her husband and equal celebrity Steph Curry. Now, she’s being sued by someone who claims they helped build her into a household name.

In new legal documents obtained by TMZ, Robert Flutie, who owns Flutie Entertainment, is suing Curry for $10 million. He says he was introduced to Ayesha in 2014, and at the time, her only foray into the entertainment industry was a small cooking blog. After she expressed her desire to reach new heights and grow her brand, she signed a deal with Flutie in November 2014. To put things in perspective, this was five years after Steph Curry signed to play with the Golden State Warriors.

As for Ayesha, apparently her partnership with Flutie was going swimmingly, and he claims to have helped her become “a current and modern-day version of Martha Stewart or Rachael Ray.” That is, until May 2019, when Ayesha reportedly cut ties with him and attempted to block Flutie from profits and ownership equity in their joint pursuits.

So now, Flutie is coming after Curry for $10 million, as well as a 50% interest in Ayesha’s Yardie Girl production company. He’s not stopping there, he also is demanding a stake in Ayesha’s Homemade brand.

Much like the kick of an actual donkey, Charlamagne Tha God’s dubious honor “Donkey Of The Day” retains the simple principle that anybody can get it. It doesn’t matter if one has Ellen DeGeneres wealth at one’s disposal — the Donkey does not discriminate. Today, The Breakfast Club host decided to slap YBN Almighty Jay with the unfortunate title following the young rapper’s dismissal of social distancing practices and overall attitude toward the virus.

It all started after Breakfast Club highlighted Almighty Jay’s recent TMZ interview, in which he admitted that he wasn’t taking the virus seriously, nor was he following social distancing guidelines– in fact, he has been openly inviting women to his house with little to no mind to caution. After The Breakfast Club ridiculed the young rapper’s lack of sound judgment, Almighty Jay caught feelings and clapped back at the radio hosts with an incendiary Instagram tirade against them.

Unfortunately for him, he underestimated the impact of Charlamagne’s biggest weapon — the DONKEY. “The reason YBN Almighty Jay is getting Donkey Of The Day is that he just wants attention,” declares Tha God. “He’s sitting in his house on quarantine, and he’s happy he got mentioned on The Breakfast Club. If you didn’t like what we said, fine, you have the right to respond. But you posted a clip of The Breakfast Club talking to Boosie, and you edited the clip to make it seem like we had something to say about you being an anti-social distancer, but didn’t reply to Boosie.”

Charlamagne proceeds to debunk the narrative, proving that the discussion didn’t exactly transpire as Jay presented it. “You edited it to make yourself look good, even though you know we pushed back on Boosie being an anti-social distancer,” explains Charla. “Come on Almighty Jay, you knew that young man! But you wanted to manipulate your followers. You wanted to show your followers The Breakfast Club is talking about you, so you had to act fake mad and edit a Boosie story to create a story. You are acting like the media you claim to be mad at — this is clickbait. This is Donald Trump, 6ix9ine level trolling.”

All she wanted to do was to celebrate her hit song going Certified Platinum, but some Nicki Minaj fans won’t let Doja Cat of the hook. Recently, a drawing of Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, and Megan Thee Stallion went viral, but the Barbz weren’t happy. They didn’t believe that Doja should have been included in the femcee trio, and a social media argument between fan groups ensued. Doja called Nicki’s supporters “Twitter gangsters” and they responded by creating a hashtag calling for Doja Cat to be canceled.

Like these sorts of temporary flare ups go, it was all over before it started. However, one Nicki fan wanted to keep the fire burning. “Say So has gone PLATINUM! Thank you all soo much!” the Hot Pink artist wrote on Instagram. A user commented, “Apologies to barbz or you over.” Doja had a few minutes to spare so she decided to respond. “Nicki taught me that when you don’t have anything else to say to someone you say “Thank you”. Thank you.”

Back in February, Doja shared her love for Nicki Minaj during her IG Live session. “She has implanted herself so deeply into all of us and into music, and into rap, and into hip hop in such a way that people have underappreciated her and I don’t think that that’s right,” Doja said. “I don’t think that that’s natural. I feel like there’s some weird sh*t going on. I feel like she just belongs in the f*cking spotlight. And not in like a weird, corny way. She just belongs.”

YNW Melly will have to stay behind bars, even though he allegedly tested positive for coronavirus. TMZ reports that a judge has finally ruled on his request to be released from prison as he awaits trial for his double murder case. The judge ultimately denied his motion and ordered the rapper to stay inside Broward County Jail. 

Weeks earlier, his mother initially stated that coronavirus had prevented his release, but just a few weeks after that, his lawyer revealed that he had tested positive for coronavirus. The rapper had been suffering from symptoms relating to the virus such as fever, heavy breathing, body pains, and headaches. He had pleaded with the judge to release him on house arrest, even offering to pay to be accepted into a medical facility. Melly argued that the prison facilities weren’t well equipped with adequate protection and care to treat him.

If Melly does want to get medical treatment in jail, the judge did say that he can speak to the Broward Sheriff’s Office for arrangements.

Melly’s lawyer previously issued a statement after the rapper had tested positive, claiming that the “223” rapper was dying behind bars. The rapper is still feeling the symptoms of the coronavirus, according to sources close to the rapper, especially the difficulties with his breathing. We’ll keep you posted on anymore updates. 

When the Coronavirus pandemic was first beginning to take off, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson were among the first celebrities who revealed their diagnosis with the disease. Tom Hanks and his wife were out in Australia at the time, and they spent their recovery in isolation while out there before they returned to the United States.

As the two famed actors dealt with their bout of COVID-19, they shared a few updates along the way. Rita Wilson spread some positivity when she did her own rendition of Naughty By Nature’s “Hip Hop Hooray.”

Now, Rita Wilson has given her first interview since her recovery from COVID-19 with CBS This Morning. While talking to Gayle King, Wilson revealed “I felt extremely achy, uncomfortable, didn’t want to be touched, and then the fever started.” She said her fever reached a high of 102, and she had “chills like I never had before.” 

Apparently Wilson suffered more than Hanks, “He did not have as high a fever. He did not lose his sense of taste or smell, but it still took us the same time to get through it,” she said.

She also revealed that she did try the controversial drug chloroquine while she was still sick, but she is hesitant to say whether or not the drug had anything to do with her recovery. “The fever did break, but the chloroquine had such extreme side effects. I was completely nauseous and I had vertigo and my muscles felt very weak. I think people have to be very considerate about that drug. We don’t really know if it is helpful in this case.”

Video games have become one of the preferred means of passing time during the perpetual quarantine, though the hefty price tags that come associated with new games don’t exactly go hand-in-hand with a struggling economy. As such, many gamers have looked to completing their backlogs, perhaps wrangling that elusive trophy or achievement preventing them from full glory. Sadly, replaying that what’s already owned can only go so far, and Sony has officially taken measures to combat stagnation with the “Play At Home” initiative.

As explained in an official PlayStation blog post, “Play At Home has two components: first, providing free games to help keep the PlayStation community entertained at home; and finally, establishing a fund to help smaller independent game studios who may be experiencing financial difficulties continue building great experiences for all gamers.”

Starting on April 15 at 8 pm PDT until May 5th, PlayStation users will be able to digitally download both Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey, two games that are widely considered essentials within the community. In addition to providing users with the option to download two classics for free, Sony has also confirmed that they will be designated ten million dollars to assist their independent development partners. 

Should this be an ongoing initiative, look for a new batch of games to kick off the start of next month — in addition to those provided on PlayStation Plus (on which Uncharted 4 is currently available for download), gamers can expect to have their hands full for the foreseeable future. Having first made a notable impression on the Revenge Of The Dreamers 3 album, Guap has since become a rising star in his circle, winning hearts and minds with his ongoing “Rona Raps” series and his most recent batch of new singles. Now, the Ferragamo Falcon has taken to ‘s hiphopheads subreddit for an extensive AMA, fielding most of the questions with a refreshing directness. 

When asked about his infamous scuffle with Russ, which ultimately led to Guap taking a sucker-punch for his troubles, he expressed interest in staging a more even-keeled rematch. “It’s so fucked up because as much as I want to catch that n****a Slippin he don’t come outside he’s not in the culture he’s not in the field nobodies legitimately friends with him that matters and that’s the type of people I be around so I would never see him to catch my fade,” he explains. “He makes his money and stays out the way. An admirable move for a less admirable bitch ass n***a.”

He also reveals that he’s been kicking around an idea, one that would find him in direct collaboration with Russ, albeit with a hostile twist. “I actually thought about challenging Russ to do a song with me where we diss each other and send in the verse to a neutral engineer who wouldn’t leak the verses to either side,” he reflects. “He would mix and then drop on SoundCloud. But I wanna fight that n***a to bad . Everybody knows i could out rap him. It’s kinda pointless.” 

While there is plenty to unpack throughout the entire AMA, it should be noted that Guap did reveal he has an upcoming collaboration album with Buddy, as well as a few additional surprises tucked away in the cut. Not to mention, he’s been steadily waiting for J.I.D. to send him over a few tracks from the new Spillage Village album, so look for that to surface in the near future.
