Donald Trump held a special conference call with pretty well every single major league sports commissioner in the United States on Saturday. During the call, he spoke to them about whether or not they will be able to get back to their respective leagues, any time soon. According to the likes of ESPN's Adam Schefter and Adrian Wojnarowski, leagues were told that they will be able to have fans in their stadiums as soon as August or September.
This is interesting news although it doesn't answer whether or not leagues can play without fans, prior to that time frame. In addition to this news, President Trump told Roger Goodell that he can expect the NFL season to start on time in September, which should be great news for sports fans.
There were no epidemiologists on tap for this meeting who could vouch for whether or not this is a realistic timeline. In North America, we are still quite far from the peak of the virus which means we won't know for sure as to when we can go back to normal life.
Simply put, we are still months away from the return of sports and we can guarantee that those few months are going to feel like an eternity.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have officially announced that they’re expecting a baby girl. The singer first announced that she was pregnant with her first child at the beginning of March, when she released her song, “Never Worn White,” complete with floral, fertility-themed visuals. Katy and her baby’s father, fiancé Orlando Bloom, were thrilled to finally be able to share the news with the world, and now, they’re able to share even more news: they’re having a girl!
On Friday, Katy shared a photo on Instagram of Orlando’s face covered in pink icing, the caption reading, “it’s a girl.” Katy also tagged the location as, “Girls Run The World,” clearly stoked to be bringing a little lady into the world.

After she premiered the video for “Never Worn White” back in March, Katy hopped on Instagram live to gush about the exciting news. “I’m excited, we’re excited and we’re happy—and it’s probably the longest secret I’ve ever had to keep,” she said. “I knew I would tell you in the best way, which is through a piece of music because that’s how I speak to you. I had to reveal it at some point because it was getting pretty obvious.” She also confirmed that the baby would be arriving in the summer. Congrats to this growing family!
Nike Air Max 270 React Gets "Knicks" Treatment: Photos
Knicks fans are going to want to check out this Nike Air Max 270 React.
One of Nike‘s best silhouettes from 2019 was the Nike Air Max 270 React. As the name suggests, this sneaker took an already existing silhouette in the Air Max 270 and added React technology to the front part of the midsole. This helped to create an ultra-comfortable shoe that continues to get love from various sneakerheads. We have seen numerous colorways over the past few months and now, Nike is coming out with yet another although this time, it is inspired by one of the most iconic, yet tragic, basketball teams.
As you can see from the photos below, the white, blue, and orange coloring makes this shoe an unofficial Knicks homage. The upper is mostly white with silver accents but the blue and orange really make this sneaker pop. If you’re a Knicks fan who needs a pair of shoes for the summer, these could wind up being a great choice.

11 Must-Watch Netflix Shows During Coronavirus Quarantine
We’ve rounded up some essential Netflix shows to get you through this period of isolation, from stand-up comedy specials, to soap-y dramas and more.
Netflix has quickly become an “essential service” for most of us. The platform has seen an increase in streaming numbers, unsurprisingly, since people have nowhere to go and nothing to do. While most of the world’s businesses are experiencing a drastic slow-down right now, Netflix isn’t stopping their monthly scheduled roll outs of new programming, on top of their original content. This particular round-up of Netflix shows is a mixed bag of recent additions and older series that may have gone overlooked, but are worthy of your eyes. From the viral success of Tiger King to the comedic stylings of Tom Segura, these are all great picks to take your mind off things.
Let us know what you’ve got on your Netflix watch list right now.
Tiger King
If you haven’t heard of this documentary series by now, actually, what are you doing? Are you okay? I mean, surely you’re at home, phone in hand. And if that’s true, then simple math tells us that you’ve scrolled past a Tiger King news article/meme/celebrity response to the stranger-than-fiction docu-series that thrust a trio of unlikely figures into the mainstream consciousness– at the forefront of course, is Joe Exotic.
Tom Segura: Ball Hog
Tom Segura is a comedian and host of Your Mom’s House podcast. The podcast host has an insanely aggressive fanbase, and while he subtly catered to those fans in his new stand-up routine, Ball Hog he also makes the jokes accessible for all. We can all laugh collectively at Tom making fun of his wife, fellow comedian Christina Pastizky, in his opening monologue, as well, the comedian addresses the fall-out from his last special, Disgraceful.
Bert Kreisher: Hey Big Boy
Another comedy special for this list, because we could all use more laughs right now, Bert Kreisher’s Hey Big Boy is among Netflix’s recent additions, so chances are, you haven’t seen it yet. The comedian, who runs in the same circles as Tom Segura (and thus, by extension, Joe Rogan), delivers an hour-long routine that’s mostly about his daughter’s first period. So yeah. There’s that.
Ozark
Ozark is the crime thriller starring unlikely actor Jason Bateman. I say that, in the sense that, before Bateman started playing Marty Byrd, the general “we” of the public wouldn’t have necessarily thought to cast him in that role — which is perhaps why “we” (all of us) are not casting agents. Nonetheless, Bateman was cast as the head of the Byrd household, and continues to get the whole family into turmoil and trouble thanks to alliances with local criminals, as well as the cartel. Now, the Byrds are back with 10 new episodes to binge-watch, so if you haven’t already been watching the series, it’s the perfect time to dive in.
Self-Made
Self-Made is a limited series that documents the story of Madame C.J. Walker, the first self-made female billionaire in America, who made her fortune off black hair care products. The show, which not only counts Tiffany Haddish as an executive producer but includes her in the roll of Walker’s daughter, is based on A’Lelia Bundles’– the great granddaughter of the real C.J. Walker– biography On Her Own Ground. The T.V. series condenses Madame C.J. Waker’s empire-building pursuits into four succinct episodes, and stars Octa Spenser as Walker.
Dare Me
If you need something soap-y, thrill-y and girl-y, well this is it. The Netflix original is based on the book of the same name byMegan Abbott. The TV series is set in a small town in the midwest, and explores the tenuous relationship between two best friends, when their high school who receives a new cheer squad coach. On the surface, that may sound like a rather light and fluffy premise, but things get dark, fast.
All American
All American is a CW show, so you know there will be soap. There are also two seasons available for you to get your binge-watch on on Netflix right now, with a third season on the way. The teen drama centers around a high school football player, Spencer James, who switches high schools from his native Crenshaw, to play for Beverly Hills High. As you can imagine when teenagers are involved, the drama takes off almost immediately, with plenty of twists and turns along the way to fuel you right into the next episode.
Locke & Key
Locke & Key was just renewed for a second season, so now is the perfect time to binge watch the first season. It’s also on Netflix, which makes it easy to binge watch, so really, no excuses. Locke & Key veers into sci-fi, magical territory— so if that’s not your cup of tea, then this show likely won’t do anything for you. If it is, though, this show is for you. The Locke family, sans patriarch after the father’s untimely passing, return home and move back into the family’s inherited, historic mansion. The creepy old house, and the town, are filled with secrets, though. And the Locke children are the ones leading the discovery.
Cheer
Maybe you want less of a soap opera that’s peripherally about cheerleading (Dare Me), and you want some full-on real-life cheerleaders? Cheer is a Netflix docu-series that explores the insane sport that is Cheerleading— and like many Netflix docs, they know how to keep you engaged and interested even if it’s a topic that wouldn’t typically interest you, at least not on paper.
Mind Hunter
Mind Hunter is another dose of escapism, if you should need it, as we get to follow FBI agents Holden Ford and Bill Tench in their pursuit of criminals– not just any ol’ criminal, but serial killers, as they attempt to understand and analyze exactly how these killers think. The crime thriller has two seasons stacked on Netflix, with the first season set in the ‘70s and the second in the ‘80s– it’s definitely far-away enough from our current times that you’ll get a much-need distraction from reality.
American Crime Story
Another true crime thriller series to keep in rotation while we’re in isolation mode. This anthology series kicked off season one in a highly-publicized manner, as the show documented the story of O.J. Simpson. The critically-acclaimed first season, The People vs. O.J. Simpson, starred Cuba Gooding Jr. as OJ, John Travolta as Robert Shapiro and David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian. The series returned in season two with The Assisination of Gianni Versace, earning the FX show even more accolades, and exploring the murder of the famed fashion designer.
The Sinner
The best TV series you probably haven’t seen. The Sinner’s first season stars Jessica Biel (who knew!) as a mother who blacks out during a family trip to the beach, leaving Detective Harry Ambrose, played by Bill Pullman to figure out why exactly. The mystery and crime unravels, keeping you on the edge of your seat the entire way. The Sinner follows Detective Ambrose as he explores more cases of crime in season two and three, with the third season having just wrapped up airing at the end of March– you can catch the first two seasons on Netflix though.
Kevin Durant Upset Early In NBA 2K Tournament: Results & Scores
The NBA 2K Players Only tournament saw quite a few upsets in Round 1.
NBA players have nothing else to do right now so as a way to supplement their inability to play basketball, the good people at Take-Two Interactive put on a tournament in collaboration with ESPN and the NBA. Sixteen NBA players were selected to be a part of an NBA 2K20 tournament that will be broadcast on National Television. In fact, the first four matchups were on TV last night and the entire event lasted just over three hours.
The four matchups included Kevin Durant vs. Derrick Jones Jr, Tray Young vs. Harrison Barnes, Zach Lavine vs Deandre Ayton, and Hassan Whiteside vs Patrick Beverley. Thanks to his overall rating, Durant was the number one seed but he ended up being upset by Jones, who beat him 78-62.
Some of the other results include Ayton defeating Lavine, 57-41, Young destroying Barnes, 101-59, and Patrick Beverley blowing out Whiteside, 84-54. On Sunday, there will be four more matchups as Donovan Mitchell takes on Rui Hachimura, Devin Booker battles Michael Portis Jr, Andre Drummond goes head to head with DeMarcus Cousins, and finally, Montrezl Harris will duke it out with Domantas Sabonis.
The tournament has already been a whole lot of fun and we can't wait to see what else comes from it, further on the down the line.
Who do you think is going to win?
Lil Wayne Has "Somethin Special" In The Works Coming Soon
Lil Wayne teased that “somethin special” is coming “real soon,” but what could it be?
Lil Wayne has something in the works for all of us to enjoy, and whatever this mysterious project is, it’s coming soon. Like the rest of the world, Weezy is kicking it at home these days, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t still working. The rapper kept it cozy on Instagram while making an important announcement, letting all of his followers know that they should keep an eye out for something coming from him “real soon.” Wayne, or “Socially Distant Tune,” as he would prefer to be called these days, posted some photos of himself lounging on the couch on Friday night, writing, “Got somethin special komin real soon!”
He made sure to to tell us all to “stay safe and healthy out there !!” before signing off with his new moniker, leaving everyone to react to this cryptic announcement in the comments. While some tossed around their hopeful guesses—new music??—most fans couldn’t help but focus on Weezy’s questionable choice of footwear.

In the photos, Wayne is rocking some UGG boots on his feet, and he definitely made sure we could see them. In fact, it almost looks like he could be modelling the sheepskin boots, especially in the second shot. Could his surprise be a campaign with UGG? Is Weezy about to be their new brand ambassador? While he didn’t specify a date, “real soon” certainly implies that we’ll all still be in quarantine by the time this surprise is revealed. Could it be the release of Collegrove 2, the sequel to his collaborative album with 2 Chainz? Or are he and Mannie Fresh going to officially release the Alicia Keys-sampled track that the producer teased on Instagram live this week? If Wayne’s a man of his word, we’ll be finding out real soon.
LaMelo Ball’s Barber Goes Full Hazmat Suit During Recent Haircut
LaMelo Ball’s barber is giving new meaning to “desperate times call for desperate measures.”
LaMelo Ball is one of the most exciting young draft prospects in basketball right now and is projected to be a top-three pick in the NBA entry draft. While it remains to be seen what team he will be playing for next year, there is no denying that he is a talent with tremendous upside. Ball has a high profile which means he needs to look the part. One of the ways he does that is by staying fresh and getting his hair cut every so often.
Due to the Coronavirus, innocuous tasks like getting a fresh cut can be tedious and sometimes, impossible. Simply put, people don’t want to be around each other. Well, LaMelo’s barber was able to find a way as he recently gave Melo his cut, with a full hazmat suit on.
Philly Barber, the man behind the suit, spoke to TMZ about the ordeal and explained that he was simply trying to be as safe as possible, considering the circumstances at hand.
“He kept approaching me and I was like, ‘Look, man, there’s a lot going on right now,'” Philly said. “‘We gotta practice being safe, dude.'”
Needless to say, sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands and do what you have to in order to survive. In the end, Melo got his cut and his barber felt safe. That’s really all that matters.

Tory Lanez Shares The First Rap He Ever Wrote: "It Was Trash"
Tory Lanez chatted with the kids from “Arts & Raps” and shared the first rap he ever wrote—bars he now calls “trash.”
It was a funny walk down memory lane for Tory Lanez as he caught up with the kids from Arts & Raps. The Canadian entertainer sat down with two sassy children from All Def’s series and answered personal questions while creating crafts with cardboard tubes. Tory was in a much more laidback atmosphere than his Quarantine Radio turn-ups as of late while the kids put him in the hot seat. Aside from dodging questions about throwing money at strippers and sharing why Lizzo is his spirit animal, Tory shared his first-ever set of rap bars.

“I’m walking down the street with nothing to do / The sun is out and the sky is blue / I went to my friends house and he just said / Sorry Daystar but I gotta go to bed,” Tory rapped. He added, “That was my first joint, like ever. And I thought it was fire! I used to spit it for everybody until I got a little older and I realized it was trash.”
Prior to Tory sharing his first rap, the little girl also spit a few bars that she’d written. “Yours killed mine,” Tory told her. “Back in the day if we would have met each other, we would have been a rap group. We would have been ill!” Check out Tory Lanez on Arts & Raps below.
Waka Flocka Thinks He "Helped" Wife Tammy By Cheating On Her
Waka Flocka thinks his cheating actually had a positive impact on his wife, Tammy Rivera, claiming it made her “meaner” and “a beast.”
Waka Flocka is under the impression that his adulterous ways actually benefitted his wife, Tammy Rivera, in various ways, making her a stronger person and, as he calls her, “a beast.” The notoriously chaotic couple have a new reality show airing right now called Waka & Tammy: What the Flocka, and during a therapy session on the latest episode, Waka and Tammy discuss his cheating in the past. Waka shares his belief that ultimately, him cheating actually served as an advantage for Tammy, since it built up her strength and made her “meaner” but “better.”
Paras Griffin/Getty Images for BET
“I actually made her meaner,” he said. “She had no idea what she was up against. It could have made her or broke her…it made her even better than what I thought. I helped her.” However, Tammy completely disagrees.
“No you didn’t,” she fired back. “That’s the thing. He thinks he helped me by doing some of the evil and mean things he did to make me meaner, that didn’t help me. What that did was add insecurities to me and made me not trust your judgment in certain sh*t and made me not trust you in certain ways. It didn’t help me. You didn’t have to do that. Life would have done that.”
Bennett Raglin/Getty Images for BET
“It’s f*cked up to say, ‘hey, cheating made you better,'” Waka acknowledged, “but it actually made Tammy like a beast. Basically, the whole world was looking at her. I don’t think nothing is more embarrassing than that.” However, Tammy still wasn’t on board with his perspective, instead insisting, “cheating didn’t make me stronger—beating his ass made me stronger.” What do you think? Can cheating be beneficial, or is it always wrong and pointless?
