Floyd Mayweather Jr. joined DJ EFN and NORE on the Drink Champs podcast and dropped a bombshell revealing that his 2014 Las Vegas altercation with T.I. was over his wife, Tiny Harris. Despite making nearly a $1 billion in half a decade, Floyd Mayweather has been teasing his resurgence into combat sports, all the while celebrating his iconic undefeated boxing career. Now, the 50-0 world champion boxer has made an unexpected stop at one of the culture’s most revered podcasts to discuss his legacy and more. 

During a short segment of the two-hour-plus interview, NORE inquired about Floyd Mayweather’s scuffle with T.I. at a local Las Vegas Fatburger. TheWar Report rapper jokingly asked Mayweather if T.I. had ‘snuffed’ him during the altercation. While drinking his coffee, the non-drinking Floyd Mayweather attempted to respond in the most respectful manner he could, stating:

“My thing is this, I just tell men like this– If you feel like your woman is a trophy, she should be at home on the shelf. Period.” Mayweather continued, “A lot of times, a man gets mad at a man, you know what I’m saying? When a man should be checking his better half. Like I said before, I’m a king, I have a feast every day.”

Over the years, T.I. and Floyd Mayweather have publicly exchanged jabs. Floyd Mayweather’s DJ even claims that he was jumped by T.I. and his clique in passing last year. The Atlanta rapper also dissed Mayweather for wearing Gucci on the one-off track, “F*ck N***a.” 

While whether or not Floyd Mayweather’s fighting career is actually over remains to be a mystery, he’s making sure his voice is heard and connecting with his audience. Check out Floyd Mayweather’s full Drink Champs interview below. 

Ne-Yo has confirmed the rumours that he and his wife, Crystal Smith, are getting a divorce. The singer returned to the Private Talk podcast this week for the second part of his interview with former adult film star, Alexis Texas, in which he acknowledged that it was “slowly but surely becoming public knowledge” that he and Crystal are, indeed, filing for divorce.

“It’s not a sad thing,” he continued. “It’s more of an us realizing…long story short, I’m never gonna talk bad about her. I’m not that person. There’s nothing bad to say about her. She’s a fantastic woman. She’s the mother of my children and she’s always gonna be that.” Ne-Yo and Crystal tied the knot in 2016, and have two sons together, Shaffer Smith Jr and Roman Alexander-Raj Smith.

“Long story short, she’s got demons just like everyone else, just like me,” Ne-Yo explained. “We realized our demons don’t mesh and until the both of get ahold of our personal demons, it’s gonna be just difficult for us to stay married. That’s the end of that chapter, not the end of that book. Like I said, that’s the mother of my kids and I love her to death. Saturday, Tyler, The Creator was in London to work with Converse’s Creative All-Star series, which offers classes to London’s youth. A fan, who would later post Tyler’s response on , asked about the chances of another Odd Future tape being made. Tyler was not optimistic, according to XXL.

“Nine times out of seven, no,” Tyler said. “I would be open to it, but I think everyone is kinda passed that. I think some people base it on nostalgia rather than like, ‘Would it actually be good?’ Like, we don’t always need a Bad Boys 5. Even though I like the last one. Nigga, it’s there, listen to it.”

“Honestly, the OF tapes weren’t that good,” Tyler continued. “It was just a fun time, but musically, it’s like, ‘Uh, coulda did better.’ But, for the time, it was tight. I think now…and I could probably figure it out. I don’t know if the styles will mesh much for a good cohesive thing. No niche like, ‘Oh, this is a good idea.’ Like an actually good thing. I don’t know if the styles would mesh much with everyone. But, who knows, this could change in six weeks.”

The last Odd Future tape was released in 2012. In the time since, the group’s members have all gone on to see success in their own solo careers.

Of all the Air Jordan 1 iterations out there, the Jordan 1 Low seems to be the model that gets the least amount of love. Of course, this is because the Air Jordan 1 started out as a high top and OG sneakerheads tend to be purists in this regard. Despite this, the Jordan 1 Low remains the perfect silhouette for those who love the original’s aesthetic but prefer to wear something below their ankles. Over the past year, Jordan Brand has been increasing its efforts to bring Jordan 1 Low colorways to the masses and so far, they have been successful.

The latest Air Jordan 1 Low colorway is being dubbed “Gym Red” and can be found in the official images, below. The shoe has a white toe box and white side panels while the overlays and Nike swoosh are made of red leather. It’s a colorway similar to the one seen on the “New Beginnings” pack which came out this past week.

Odell Beckham Jr.'s Nike Air Max 720 OBJ collab has already released in a variety of styles, including the popular Nike Air Max 720 OBJ "Desert Ore" colorway as well as a an LSU-inspired joint and a colorful "Young King of the Drip" design.

Each of those collaborative sneakers were constructed of a combination of leather, mesh and suede, with a clear, bulbous Air Max 720 cushioning unit beneath the silhouette. OBJ and Nike will be going in a different direction for their next collab, as they are set to release a modified, slip-on version of the Air Max 720 OBJ.

Odell Beckham Jr. has been known to be one of the NFL’s biggest sneakerheads and over the last couple of years, he has had his very own collaborations with Nike. One of the models he has been particularly on is the Nike Air Max 720 which has various OBJ colorways at this point. Now, OBJ is linking up with Nike for a slip-on version of the Air Max 720 and if you’re a Cleveland Browns fan, you’re going to like this colorway.

As you can see from the official images below, the shoe is covered in brownish-orange materials on the upper. From there, the midsole is pitch black which is a pretty cool aesthetic for the Air Max unit. If you’re a Brown fan with some of the newer uniforms, these shoes would be perfect to match with. Not to mention, OBJ’s choice in colorway could very well be an admission that he wants to keep things going in Cleveland.

Dwight Howard is set to compete in the 2020 NBA Slam Dunk Contest Saturday night in Chicago. He had hoped Kobe Bryant would be there to help with his performance, but according to ESPN, he may honor him during the event.

The first trailer for Teyana Taylor‘s documentary, Assembly Required: Teyana Taylor’s House of Petunia, has officially dropped. The film will give viewers an inside look at the process of bringing together Teyana’s House of Petunia show at the Red Bull Music Festival in New York last year. 

The sneak peak does a great job of demonstrating just how closely involved Teyana is with every detail of the show. At one point, she can be heard taking control of the creative choices, telling her team, “I want to see that for myself. I don’t care about nobody else’s opinion.” One of the standout moments of the brief clip is when Teyana can be seen walking through the subway decked out in full glam.

Not only will the film explore the process leading up to the festival, it will also show Teyana juggling her life as a mother to three-year-old Junie, a wife to NBA player Iman Shumpert, and an entertainer to the world.

“It’s all my visions being brought to life,” Teyana says about House of Petunia in the trailer. “It feels really good to have an opportunity to have my dream show.” The documentary will air on Red Bull TV on February 20th.

Former President Barack Obama surprised the NBA Rising Stars teams prior to the game for All-Star weekend. The appearance left the young players starstruck, according to ESPN.

Kobe and Gianna Bryant tragically passed away after a helicopter crash on January 26th. The two were traveling to a youth basketball game with some teammates and their parents. Since their tragic passing, there have been a plethora of tributes, some of which have involved shoes. Customizers have been creating sneakers that honor the two Bryant’s and their love of the game.

One of the latest customs we’ve seen comes in the form of this dope Jordan Legacy 312 in a Lakers colorway. While the colorway itself already existed, the customizer, @jd_thepainter, decided to paint over both Jumpman logos on the back heel. As you can see, the left shoe has Kobe painted over MJ’s signature pose, while the right sneaker has Gianna in her Mamba jersey. Seeing tributes like this one can be quite heartwarming and we love how the customizer was able to make his concept come to life.

Since this is a custom, don’t expect these to make their way to shelves anytime soon. Regardless, this is a super dope tribute and we’re surely going to see more customs like this in the future. Kobe and Gianna were beloved by a lot of people and this sneaker is truly a representation of that.
