Protestors have turned the fences surrounding Lafayette Park into an ever-growing memorial to the Black victims of police brutality. As the protests against police brutality intensified in Washington D.C, Donald Trump responded by literally furthering the divide between the people and the government. Following the tragic killing of George Floyd, Ex-Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was charged with second-degree murder, a charge since upgraded from the initial third-degree charge.
