Insensitive comments about Kobe Bryant’s death cost this principle her job. A High School principal in Washington State has resigned following backlash to an insensitive Facebook post about Kobe Bryant, according to KGW. Dr. Liza Sejkora, the principle in question, wrote, “Not gonna lie. Seems to me that karma caught up with a rapist today,” followed by a shrug emoji. Sejkora says she took the post down after an hour, but someone screenshotted it and shared it in the community. Students planned a walkout in response to her post. Superintendent Jeff Snell announced that Sejkora would be resigning on Friday....
Tyler’s flying overseas. Tyler, The Creator pulled in his first-ever Grammy win at this year’s award show, all thanks to his beloved Igor album. The 28-year-old was nothing but excited about his Rap Album of the Year nod but he still shared his thoughts on the common feels many black artists have when it comes to award shows. “I’m half and half on it,” he said. “On the one side I am very grateful that what I made can be acknowledged in a world like this… but it sucks that whenever we, and I mean guys that look like...
Too $hort & Tom Hanks make an unlikely duo appearing side-by-side on a mural representing different types of Oakland legends. What started out as an excuse for artists Pierre BellaFonté, Charles Meck, and Uter Charles to get outside and paint turned into a commentary on the dichotomy of the types of legends that hail from the city of Oakland. Painted with oil enamel, a 100-foot mural, which appears on a brick wall at the corner of San Pablo and Castro Street near the Oakland Greyhound station, depicts rapper Too $hort and actor Tom Hanks, two well-known Oakland legends. “Oakland breeds influencers and people should be proud to...

Kerr was candid about Russell’s fit on the Warriors. Steve Kerr believes D’Angelo Russell’s fit in Golden State was questionable from the beginning. “To be perfectly blunt, the fit was questionable when we signed him,” Kerr told reporters on Friday, according to Yahoo Sports. “Nobody questioned that. When you already have Steph and Klay and you add a ball-dominant guard, you can rightfully question the fit.” The Warriors currently hold a disappointing 12-40 record. After losing both Klay Thompson and Steph Curry, Russell alone was not enough to hold together the broken team. He averaged 23.6 points and 6.2 assists...

While it must be comforting for Nicki to have these troops in her corner, their intense fanaticism can sometimes turn on her. The rapper should have known that when she previewed a new song earlier this week that The Barbz would pressure her...
