Gracie Abrams delivered a captivating performance on Saturday Night Live this past October 31, marking her return to the iconic sketch show with a thematic tribute to Baz Luhrmann’s 1996 classic, Romeo + Juliet. Embracing the Halloween spirit, the singer-songwriter utilized the episode to showcase tracks from her latest studio album, Daughter From Hell, while channeling the aesthetic of the beloved film.
Opening the set with her lead single, ‘Hit The Wall’, Abrams appeared dressed as Juliet, specifically recreating the iconic angel costume worn by Claire Danes during the film’s famous fancy-dress party. The staging was equally immersive, with Abrams beginning the song behind an aquarium, a direct nod to the moment Juliet and Romeo—portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio—first lock eyes through a fish tank.
Later in the episode, Abrams returned to the stage to debut ‘Here You Come, There You Go’, a track set to appear on the upcoming deluxe edition of Daughter From Hell. For this second performance, she shifted her costume to reflect DiCaprio’s Romeo, donning a Hawaiian shirt paired with the metallic sleeves from the character’s knight ensemble.
This appearance marks Abrams’ second time as an SNL musical guest, following her debut in December 2024. The performance arrives just ahead of the November 20 release of the expanded edition of Daughter From Hell, which will feature five additional tracks. Following her television appearance, Abrams is set to embark on her 2026-2027 ‘The Look At My Life Tour’, beginning in Denver this December.
