“I don’t buy it [the retirement] for a second,” Rogan said smiling. “I think Conor McGregor is just trying to get you to talk about him and he just did. What better way to get people to talk about him when there’s a spectacular fight filled with people dominating. What he did was hijack the whole situation. I’m not buying it.”

McGregor announced his retirement from fighting on Twitter, early Sunday.

“Hey guys I’ve decided to retire from fighting. Thank you all for the amazing memories! What a ride it’s been! Here is a picture of myself and my mother in Las Vegas post one of my World title wins! Pick the home of your dreams Mags I love you! Whatever you desire it’s yours,” he wrote.

McGregor has previously said that he planned for fight three times in 2020. He’s also claimed to be retiring at multiple other points throughout his career.

UFC 250 aired Saturday night. The event included fights between Amanda Nunes and Felicia Spencer, as well as Raphael Assuncao and Cody Garbrandt.
