Kodak Black has allegedly been beaten, attacked, and kept in solitary confinement for much of his recent prison stint. The rapper has spoken out about his mistreatment but, so far, he has not seen the light at the end of the tunnel. Despite the number of non-violent offenders being released from prison rising, Kodak remains behind bars for falsifying information on an application to purchase a firearm.
His lawyer, Bradford Cohen, has been giving the artist’s fans updates from time to time and, while this latest one doesn’t contain much information, it is definitely promising.

“I appreciate Dade State Atty. Katherine Fernandez Rundle and her team taking time to listen to what I had to say about Bill,” said Cohen on Instagram, referring to Kodak Black by his real name. “Not only what I had to say about his character, but what I had to say about his treatment.”
He went on to say that the Miami-Dade State Attorney and her team listened to every word that left his mouth and considered the information.
“Sometimes you have a prosecutor willing to listen and Dade State Atty. Katherine Fernandez Rundle and her team did that, they listened, they had an opportunity to see my client as a person and not a defendant,” he added. “It’s rare that we can all get together and just talk about the person, putting the facts aside. She really stepped up to the plate and I believe her ears are open to listen, if people are willing to have a discussion.”
