Mario Kart World is launching on the same day as the Nintendo Switch 2, and the reveal trailer blew our minds. It was packed with details, new features, and a whole lot of characters. But how many characters are on the Mario Kart World roster?

Mario Kart World has 50 confirmed characters so far:
Mario can be seen on the game’s key art. Of course, he isn’t going to miss out on his own game.
Luigi can be seen on the game’s key art.
Peach can be seen on the game’s key art.
Toad can be seen on the game’s key art.
Toadette can be seen on the game’s key art.
Donkey Kong can be seen on the game’s key art.
Bowser can be seen on the game’s key art.
Daisy can be seen on the game’s key art.
Yoshi can be seen on the game’s key art.
Birdo can be seen on the game’s key art.
Bowser Jr. is spotted throughout the game’s trailer.
Wario can be seen in several gameplay shots from the trailer.
Waluigi can be seen on the game’s key art.
Rosalina can be seen on the game’s key art.
Shy Guy can be seen in several gameplay clips, including a part focused on him as a racer.
Koopa Troopa is also shown in several small clips from the trailer.
King Boo is showcased in several extended clips in the game’s reveal trailer.

Baby Daisy is also in the reveal trailer for the game in the middle of a race at several points.
Baby Rosalina can be found in a few spots throughout the reveal trailer, often in the background.
Nabbit is making his debut in Mario Kart, and can be seen several times in the reveal trailer for the game.
The cow from Moo Moo Meadows and a number of other locations in Mario games can be seen in the trailer for Mario Kart World.
Lakitu can be briefly seen from behind in the opening shot of racers.
Wiggler can be seen in the game’s menu from gameplay.
A Hammer Bro can be seen in the game’s official reveal trailer.
Charging Chuck can be briefly seen in a snippet of gameplay in the reveal trailer and in the list of racers at the top of another race.
Spike can be seen in the game’s keyart, riding a jetski, suggesting he will be a playable character.
The Piranha Plant can be briefly seen in the game’s menu.
The Pianta character, who has been in various tracks and Mario games, is also briefly seen in snippet of gameplay.
Hidden away, within a small clip of gameplay in the trailer, you can actually see that the Dolphin character seen in many tracks in the games is playable for the first time.
The Goomba is returning to the series and can be seen twice in the game’s key-art.
In plain sight on the key art, you can see a Para-Biddybud. This character is a first for the series and is likely to have multiple colours, similar to Shy Guy and Yoshi.
The Sidestepper can be seen racing a cart in a brief gameplay snapshot, making them another enemy that is playable.
Additionally, the Stingby can be seen in a gameplay clip from the trailer.
Spotted in the key art, you can see the Penguin enemy from the Mario games riding a kart, suggesting they will be a playable character. This will be the first time they are a playable character in the series.
The Cataquack can be seen in several gameplay clips.
Monty Mole can be briefly seen in a gameplay snippet from the official reveal trailer.
Swoop, yes, really, from the Mario games is also here, briefly shown in a small gameplay clip.
The enemy often found in desert maps in Mario Kart has decided to step behind the wheel themselves this time.
A Cheep Cheep can be seen in a race from the official Nintendo Treehouse gameplay video.
Another ghost is joining King Boo, Peepa, and they can be seen in a small clip from the reveal trailer.
The Snowman can be seen in a few small clips through the game’s trailer and Treehouse gameplay.
Believe it or not, but yes, Fish Bone is in the game, briefly seen in the reveal trailer.
The Coin Coffer was showcased in the split-screen gameplay at the Nintendo Treehouse Live gameplay showcase.
The Conkdor was seen briefly in the menu for Mario Kart World.
