Astute fans have already reasoned that Offset, Quavo, and Takeoff have been cooking something up, if the release of three singles is to be believed. And while the jury remains out on whether we’ll be seeing the recently-teased Quarantine Mixtape anytime soon, it can’t be denied that the Migos have been far more active than usual. In fact, they seem to be relishing in the idea of stirring up hype, taking to Twitter to tease an unreleased banger with YoungBoy Never Broke Again.

Earlier this year, in January to be specific, Offset shared a behind-the-scenes teaser of a back-and-forth track with YoungBoy — one that found them trading back-and-forth bars over a flipped sample of 50 Cent‘s “Get In My Car.” Though information surrounding the actual song is scarce, many responded rather positively to the early snippet — to the point where it’s left a lasting impression on some. Today, one such fan actively asked the Migos whether we’d be seeing Offset and YoungBoy’s collab anytime soon, prompting the trio to let fly a cryptic response: the googly eye emoji.
Look, it’s not exactly much to go on — analyzing emojis through an archeological lens is seldom fruitful, though it’s better than nothing in these dire times. Perhaps it can be read as a simple “it’s coming,” it’s only a matter of when. Either way, it’s clear the Migos are well aware of the demand for that particular banger, so don’t be surprised to see it surface if and when the Migos decide to drop off their new mixtape.
