Ozzy Osbourne has criticised Donald Trump‘s response to the coronavirus crisis, saying the US President is “acting like a fool”.
Speaking in a new interview with Rolling Stone, Osbourne questions why Trump ran for President in 2016, before criticising his response to the ongoing pandemic.
“If I was running for president, I would try and find out a little bit about politics,” he said. “Because the fucking guy you’ve got in there now doesn’t know that much about it, I don’t think.
“It’s not like anyone could be a fucking heart surgeon and just go in with a scalpel. You have to know what you’re fucking doing.”
Specifically talking about Trump’s response to COVID-19, Osbourne added: “In my lifetime, I’ve never known anything like this. It’s getting worse, not better. And this guy’s acting like a fool. I don’t really like to talk politics that much, but I’ve got to say what I feel with this guy. There’s not much hope left. Maybe he’s got a trick up his sleeve and he’s going to surprise us all, and I hope he has.”
In the same Rolling Stone interview, Osbourne also confirmed that he and wife Sharon are set to be the subject of a new biopic.
“From what I understand, it’s about Sharon and I and our relationship,” Ozzy said. “It’s how we met, fell in love, and how we married. She’s my other half. She grew up a lot with me, and I grew up a lot with her.”
Sharon then said the film will feel very different to recent Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, saying: “Our film will be a lot more real. We don’t want it to be squeaky, shiny clean and all of that. We’re not making it for kids. It’s an adult movie for adults.”
