Trina McGee, the actress who played Angela Moore on Boy Meets World, has accused her former co-stars of being racist toward her while they were on set, which included calling her "Aunt Jemima." Trina, who was the only black lead actor on a show with a majority white cast, took to Twitter in January to call out some of her castmates for their retched behaviour on set.
"Called aunt Jemima on set during hair and make up," she tweeted. "Called a bitter bitch when I quietly waited for my scene to finish rehearsing that was being f’ed up over and over due to episode featuring my character. Told 'it was nice of you to join us' like a stranger after 60 episodes." She later confirmed which set she was referring to, and specified that the perpetrators were three of the main actors on the show.
However, she clarifies that this did not include Rider Strong, who played her love interest, Shawn Hunter, on Boy Meets World.
She went on to detail her experience in more replies and tweets, revealing that she was even made fun of for believing in God.
Because she never named names, many have only speculated that, if Rider was not one of the "three acting colleagues," the culprits were likely Ben Savage, Will Friedle, and Danielle Fishel. Although Trina thought that the three actors should come forward and "name themselves," she insisted that we "don't have to be inspect[or] gadget" to figure out who she's referring to. Further, when a Twitter user replied to one of her tweets recalling their own unpleasant experience with Ben, who played the show's main character, Corey Matthews, Trina said it sounded like "familiar territory."
Although the original series ended in 2000, Trina reprised her role as Angela in the Boy Meets World spin-off, Girl Meets World, back in 2015. Last year, she promised that she was going to speak her "truth on what happened on Boy Meets World" and share her experiences as a black woman in Hollywood.
However, she never officially made such a video, and has since addressed her tweet storm back in January. In an Instagram live, she claimed that she was "PMSing" when she tweeted about BMW in January, and that she isn't certain that she would classify her experiences on set as racism today. She also revealed that the male co-star who called her Aunt Jemima has since reached out and apologized, although she still doesn't specify who it was.
Christina Milian’s BF Matt Pokora Accused Of Making Racist Hair Comparison
Christina Milian’s boyfriend Matt Pokora was under fire after seemingly comparing her daughter’s hairstyle to the microbe emoji.
Christina Milian’s boyfriend, Matt Pokora, faced some heavy backlash for seemingly comparing her daughter Violet’s hairstyle to the microbe emoji, many calling the joke racist. On Thursday, Matt, who is also the father of Christina’s second child, Isaiah, posted a video of 10-year-old Violet on his Instagram story. In the clip, Matt filmed Violet while she had her hair up in Bantu knots, as she asked him “what are you doing?” When he posted the video, he added a microbe emoji in the caption, along with a laughing emoji and a heart emoji. He even felt the need to draw an arrow from the microbe pointing at Violet’s hairstyle, seemingly implying that her hairstyle bears a resemblance to the symbol.
Many folks were outraged by the comparison, especially since the microbe emoji has come to be used across the Internet to represent the coronavirus. The implication that her hair “looks” like or even “is” a virus or disease was offensive to some people, especially since Matt is a white man mocking a young black girl’s hairstyle.
Matt later took to his IG stories again to shared some videos of himself and Violet to prove how close they are. The french musician posted a clip of Violet heading off to school with the caption, “Self confidence on point.” In the video, he tells Violet to “have a great day, be great, you’re a winner.” He shared some more videos of a similar nature, demonstrating how supportive he is of his honorary step-daughter. He has yet to directly address the microbe-hair-comparison controversy
Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty Accused Of Deceptive Marketing
Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty lingerie line has been accused of using “deceptive marketing” tactics by a false-advertising investigation organization.
Rihanna‘s Savage x Fenty lingerie line is under fire after an organization dedicated to calling out false advertising and deceptive marketing has accused the company of duping customers with misleading promotional tactics. The non-profit organization, Truth In Advertising (TINA), has filed complaints with both the Federal Trade Commission and the California District Attorney’s office for Santa Cruz County under the claims that Rihanna’s company has violated the Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act (ROSCA), as well as additional FTC laws. TINA received complaints from Savage x Fenty customers that they had been signed up for a $49.95 a month membership without their knowledge after purchasing products from the line, prompting TINA to file complaints that Savage x Fenty was engaging in the promotion of misleading discounts and product prices.

According to TINA spokesperson, Shana Mueller, an advertisement for a discounted lingerie set on the Savage x Fenty website didn’t disclose that the deal was for VIP members only, and that the purchase of the set would include a membership charge. Once the set had been added to a customer’s cart, “a little extra item in your shopping cart that says ‘Membership'” would appear, but “there’s no price next to it. It’s just a little x.” Customers were unaware that they had been signed up for a monthly subscription, until they were charged $49.95 a month. While the subscription offered discounts on the brand’s products, it only applied to products that cost more than the membership fee, and individuals were charged whether or not they had even bought anything.

Emma Tully, a Savage X Fenty spokeswoman, disclosed that the company believes it is complying with consumer protection laws and has not received any inquiries from the FTC. “These accusations are false and based on misconceptions of our business,” she stated. “We are proud of our flexible membership program because it allows us to offer unparalleled quality and value to our customers…We believe strongly in transparency, which is why we provide multiple disclosures of membership terms throughout the shopping experience, within advertisements, and through our ambassador engagement policies.”

TINA has also uncovered that 21 individuals, including Rico Nasty and Draya Michele, have promoted Savage x Fenty products through their social media platforms but failed to disclose their “material” brand “ambassador” relationships with the company.
Trouble Accused Of Pulling Woman Out Of Car By Her Hair & Chipping Her Tooth
The incident allegedly occurred after a New Year’s Eve party.
As his name suggests, Trouble has gotten into some hot water after a woman accused him of physically assaulting her early New Year’s Day. Atlanta news outlet 11 Live reported on Wednesday that Trouble and the unnamed woman were involved in an altercation after leaving a party together. According to a report from the Atlanta Police Department, the incident began when the woman confronted Trouble after witnessing him grab another woman’s butt at the party, which they had attended together. Trouble and the woman were in a car when she accused him of the act, and at some point, Trouble told her “I got something for you.” In that moment, the woman claimed that she “feared for her life,” so she “called her sister so that she could know what happened before it happened,” and gave her sister Trouble’s license plate number.
Trouble allegedly grabbed her out of the car by her hair, pulling off her wig. She also accused him of pushing her to the ground and causing her to chip her tooth and bruise her knuckles. According to the police report, her injuries were visible. Trouble has previously been involved in an on-and-off relationship with Love & Hip Hop star, Alexis Skyy, though the two appeared to have broken up again in October when Trouble was caught shooting his shit at Angela Simmons on his Instagram story.
