Kanye West has come through with some pretty interesting sneakers during his time with his signature Yeezy brand and fans are always ready to scoop up some of the heat he is providing for them. For three years, Kanye teased his adoring fans with the Adidas Yeezy Basketball QNTM which was supposed to be his Yeezy foray into athletic wear. Finally, the shoe came out in 2020 although it was mostly exclusive to those in Chicago during all-star weekend. Since then, it has been theorized that there would be a restock but now, it looks like the rumors are becoming true.

Today, Yeezy Mafia reported that the Yeezy basketball shoe would be dropping again in September. This should come as very good news to all of the sneakerheads who were fiending this shoe just a few months ago. While the restock will surely prove to be somewhat limited, this could be your best chance to cop.

Kanye West is always trying to innovate when it comes to the world of sneakers and his Yeezy partnership with Adidas has allowed him to do just that. The Yeezy brand has become one of the biggest sneaker institutions in the world and he continues to drop brand new silhouettes that always have fans excited for what is coming out next. 

His most recent creation is the Adidas Yeezy Basketball Quantum which released in a basic colorway and is now getting a “Barium” offering next month. West is already looking at creating more colorways for the shoe which became evident thanks to none other than A$AP Bari. On Bari’s story @yeezymafia, he posted a screenshot of a text conversation with West in which Ye offered him a sample of some blue Yeezy basketball shoes. As you can see from the post below, this is a model that we have yet to see.

It remains to be seen if and when these are going to drop but needless to say, we are pretty excited about the possibility. The Yeezy basketball shoe has been high on the priority list of sneakerheads and this model could make some serious impact especially since we don’t have a lot of blue Yeezys.

Over the past couple of months, we have seen teasers for a dark green “Barium” model and now, thanks to Instagram insider @repgod888, we have some detailed on-foot images that should tide you over between now and the release of the sneaker.

Kanye West has helped turn Yeezy into a billion-dollar brand and every single year, the offshoot Adidas imprint continues to grow in size. West has been very adamant about expanding the brand, especially when it comes to sneakers and the various silhouettes he offers. Over the last few months, West has been pushing his Adidas Yeezy Basketball QNTM which dropped during All-Star weekend in a basic white, black, and silver colorway.

Now, a “Barium” version of his basketball shoe is on the way and thanks to @solebyjc, we finally have our first look. As you can see from the post below, the shoe has a brownish-green upper while black is placed on the tongue, and grey is found on the back heel and toe box. Overall, it’s a fairly interesting aesthetic that stays true to the look of the original colorway, but with a twist.

Kanye West's Yeezy brand has done some great things over the past little while, including a basketball sneaker that has yet to see a wide release. While the shoe came out during NBA All-Star weekend, stock was limited and there is still a promise of an expanded release this summer. Despite this, the brand is still showing off new colorways. Thanks to the Yeezy insider Twitter account, YeezyMafia, we now know of a new offering that is being nicknamed "Barium."

As you can see from the teaser image below, the shoe is made with some dark green tones while black and white are found towards the back. Boost is found all along the midsole which makes this a comfortable shoe to play ball in. For now, it is being theorized that these will drop in the Summer for $250 USD. If you're looking to save up in time for the summer months, now is the time to do it.

Sneakerheads have been waiting with bated breathe for the Adidas Yeezy Quantum Basketball shoe. According to @pyleaks, a brand new colorway has emerged. This time, the shoe is going for a triple-black aesthetic and is being dubbed "Barium." As you can see from the tweet below, it is believed that this shoe will drop in the second half of this year which means it will come right on time for the start of the basketball season.
