Deemed one of the most important hip-hop songs of the last decade by Rolling Stone, Big Sean's "Control" changed the world. Kendrick Lamar had a huge hand in making the track so noteworthy, calling out a number of high-profile rappers to challenge him and take the crown. The track arguably made him the favorite on Top Dawg Entertainment, cementing him as one of the best rappers in the world.
In the track, the Los Angeles rapper calls himself the King of New York, which did not sit well with a number of stars from the city. The track was so impactful that it is still causing rumors to break out today.

A story has been going around that J. Cole and Diddy got into a physical fight at a VMAs after-party over the "Control" verse. Apparently, Diddy was drunk and attempted to have some words with Kendrick Lamar over the "king of New York" claims. Things got ugly when Diddy allegedly tried to pour a drink on Kendrick, before J. Cole intervened and fought the legend himself.
According to J. Cole's manager, none of that actually happened though.
Taking to Twitter, Ibrahim "Ib" Hamad debunked the rumors and said that the story is untrue.
"Yea thats def not what happened," he said next to a bunch of laughing emojis. So, what did happen then? Inquiring minds are begging to find out.
Offset To Host Epic Strip Club After Party For NBA All-Star Game
Offset will be commander-in-chief at Ocean Gentleman’s Club on Sunday night.
Apparently, NBA All-Star weekend is just as much about the strippers as it is about the basketball players. It’s clear that the weekend’s events promote ditching the competitive spirit of the regular season in favor of some more lighthearted fun, but the extent of the partying that goes on may be a lesser known fact. For all those out of the loop, TMZ just gave us some inside scoop about what goes down at the after-hour All-Star celebrations.

As TMZ put it, “NBA All-Star Weekend is like an annual Super Bowl for the strippers.” Strippers fly across the country to whichever city happens to be hosting the year’s All-Star game in hopes of offering their services at its top strip clubs. Some clubs require dancers to pay fees of $300 to $350 per night to be added to their roster. Other clubs recruit women from other states to ensure their patrons receive the best possible entertainment. Considering the large sums of cash these customers come prepared to dispense, it’s important to keep them pleased. Sources over at Ocean Gentleman’s Club, Factory and Club O detailed that each club will have $450,000 in single dollar bills waiting to be tossed in the air.
Offset was enlisted to host one of the biggest affairs of the weekend – Ocean Gentleman’s Club’s Sunday night party after the All-Star Game. Turntable legend Kid Capri hosted that club’s Saturday night bash. Based on Offset’s birthday celebrations back in December, we know he’s capable of tearing down a club and leaving its floor carpeted in cash.

Now a few weeks into the new year, Usher and Jenn look to still be going strong since they both attended the Vanity Fair Oscar’s party and were dancing, smiling and holding each other affectionately. Usher’s Instagram story shows photos of him running into Billie Eilish, Martin Lawrence and Paula Abdul before having sweet moments with Jenn.
The A&R head even posted a photo of her and Usher to her Instagram feed with the caption, “Ace ♠️ … #vanityfair.”
“This decade has represented growth for me. For the most part, the design of [the past two] decades have continued to really work for me to expand my reach through music,” Usher recently stated of the new year and new music. “Also, too, just as a human being that wants to make music that connects the world, and expand R&B, and all of the rhythm and blues that has come through my own personal experiences that I chose to write about. Or the places that I’ve gone that kind of introduced other genres — and even though they were other genres of music, I still had the soul in it. Just really happy to continue to knock down these decades and start a new one.”
Kylie Jenner & Travis Scott Link At Oscars After Party
The exes may be back together.
Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott have been separated romantically for a few months if past sources and reports have been correct. Certain rumors suggested that Travis was unfaithful, but the Astroworld rapper came through to shut down such false reports. After recent reports that the couple is on their way to reconciliation, last night's link up for the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty proves that it may very well be true. Kylie took to her Instagram story to post a video of her headed to the party in a limousine with her sisters Khloe and Kourtney as well as Travis seated across from her. “It be your own family sometimes," she captioned the clip.
Kylie recently opened up about her relationship with Travis, calling him her best friend. "We have such a great relationship, we’re like best friends," she said. "We both love Stormi and want what’s best for her. We stay connected and coordinated. I think about [my parents] in situations with Stormi, what they would do. They were very hands-on with me, and I want the same for Stormi."

Camila Cabello Ghosted Shawn Mendes & Took Her Dad As Her Date To The Grammys
Don’t worry, everything is fine between the pop-star duo.
The 62nd annual Grammy Awards took place last night, with J. Cole, 21 Savage, and Tyler, The Creator all taking home awards in their respective nominee divisions. While the ceremony was eventful and full of inspiring performances, one extremely well-known couple rarely acknowledged each other during the event held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes did not walk the red carpet together, sit alongside each other, or cross paths during the entire 2020 Grammy ceremony.
Instead of bringing her significant other as her date to the celebratory function, the “Havana” songstress opted to bring her father to the ceremony, despite the couple being nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their collaborative efforts on Cabello’s chart-topping single, “Señorita.” Camila Cabello also got the opportunity to perform her song “First Man” during the event, dedicating her performance to her father.
While Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes seemingly ignored each other during the 2020 Grammys, all is well in their relationship which is currently in its honeymoon phase. In the Oct. 2019 edition of ELLE Magazine, Cabello spoke on how the two which their relationship was more private stating:
“I don’t know; people can say whatever they want to say. They can speculate, but at the same time, we are going to live our own lives, enjoy it, and fall for each other like nobody is watching. That is how I want to live. I never want to open the door for people to feel like they are involved. Like I said, I want it to be mine and [his]. That’s why I’m so tight-lipped about it: because I want to protect it.”
Following the formal Grammy Awards presentation, the real festivities began when the couple reunited and turned all the way up drunkenly singing One Direction’s 2014 hit single, “Steal My Girl,” atop of a table at a private Grammy after-party. Despite Camila Cabello still being under scrutiny for her recently resurfaced racist rant, she and her boyfriend have quietly moved on from the incident. Check out Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes singing “Steal My Girl” while standing on tables in the video provided below.
