We may not know what went down in the elevator, but Kevin Hart dropped off his own mortifying encounter with Jay Z and Beyoncé. This "Stay At Home"-ordered quarantine has celebrities coming up with inventive ways to keep the public entertained. Talk shows are conducting interviews fro home, concerts are being performed from living rooms, and Kevin Hart is sharing random comedic stories of embarrassing incidents.
We've already heard the one about Kevin defecating on himself while on stage, and now he's back with a tale involving the Knowles-Carters. According to Kevin, he was at a nightclub in his VIP section during All-Star Weekend in Houston. Jay and Bey were in their section and Kevin was invited over. The section was packed full of people so he couldn't see everyone that was there, but Jay Z asked him if he wanted a drink. Kevin said he reached over and knocked over a canister of pineapple juice without knowing the entire thing spilled on Beyoncé who was sitting behind Hov.
As Bey used stacks of napkins to clean up the juice that had spilled on her legs and ruined her shoes, Kevin shared that he felt terrible about the situation. So, in turn, he reached in his pocket, pulled out some cash, and gave it to Jay in a handshake. Kevin told Jay not to look at it until he was gone because it was the least he could do. You'll have to watch until the end to see the funny punchline. Check out Kevin Hart bringing a little of comedy relief for fans below.
View this post on InstagramSheck Wes Recalls When Klay Thompson Dissed Him As A Young Lad
Why did Klay Thompson have to do Sheck Wes like that?
Sheck Wes blew up in 2018 thanks to his smash hit "Mo Bamba." Later that year, Sheck Wes came through with his very first album called Mudboy and was even featured on Travis Scott's Astroworld. While he may not be the biggest artist in the game right now, he's pretty recognizable. Of course, this wasn't always the case. While growing up in New York, Sheck had to overcome his fair share of disrespect which at times, came from notable NBA players.
Yesterday, Sheck hopped on Twitter where he shared a peculiar story with his fans. As he explains, Sheck was in New York City for All-Star weekend one year and asked Golden State Warriors star, Klay Thompson, for an autograph. Thompson ended up pushing Sheck to the side which led to the artist's lifelong hatred for the Warriors champion.
The "Mindfucker" rapper went on to say that the experience made him want to take photos with every single fan who asks. Clearly, the hurt he felt at the hands of Klay Thompson has made him a better human.
Athletes snubbing eager fans is nothing new so we're not exactly surprised by Sheck Wes' admission. Regardless, it must have felt pretty horrible in the moment.
Ten Best NBA All-Star Weekend Sneakers Of All Time
All-Star weekend always provides us with some incredible shoes.
NBA All-Star weekend is here and we have already seen some pretty incredible shoes that will certainly occupy our mind for weeks to come. The weekend’s festivities are always a great time to show off unique colorways of already-established silhouettes. For some athletes, it’s also a good time to demonstrate their latest signature shoes and potentially get more consumers to buy them. If you’re a sneakerhead, All-Star weekend is one of the best events of the year and certainly provides us with plenty of talking points.
Over the years, we have seen some extraordinary sneakers that have made a lasting impression on us. With this list, we are taking a look at the ten best shoes to appear during All-Star weekend in no particular order. From Michael Jordan to Shaq to LeBron James, you might see your favorite player represented. Whether you like these shoes or not, there is no denying their impact on All-Star weekend and sneaker culture as a whole.
Nike Air Maestro (1994)

Back in 1994, Scottie Pippen was making a name for himself as he had to carry the Chicago Bulls without the likes of Michael Jordan. While he didn’t have a signature shoe, he was still forging his own path thanks to the Nike Air Maestro. His black and red colorway from the 1994 All-Star game remains iconic and helped popularize the silhouette. Over the past few years, we have received some colorways of the Nike Air Maestro II. Clearly, Pippen’s influence from over 25 years ago, lives on.
Reebok Kamikaze II (1995)

Shawn Kemp was infamous for wearing this silhouette back in 1995 and he eventually made the sneaker incredibly popular amongst kids in high school. At the time, if you showed up to class in these, you were the talk of the town. The bizarre, yet scintillating zig-zag aesthetic made this a one-of-a-kind shoe that has yet to be duplicated. During the mid-to-late 90s and early 2000s, Reebok was dominant when it came to their presence in the All-Star Game and the Kamikaze II was a perfect example of that.
Adidas T-Mac III (2004)

Say what you will about the staying power of the T-Mac III, there is no denying that this mismatched blue and red colorway made waves when it was revealed at the 2004 All-Star game. Tracy McGrady was a dominant force in the NBA at the time and his shoes were equally impressive. Mismatched shoes weren’t exactly new but they weren’t popular either. Despite this, T-Mac pulled it off to perfection and gave us an instant classic out on the court. When matched with his blue and red uniform, the shoes became that much more impressive.
Reebok Shaqnosis (1996)

Shaq was becoming an undeniable force in the NBA during the early and mid-90s. By the time the 1996 All-Star Game rolled around, Shaq was a bonafide star with his very own shoe, the Reebok Shaqnosis. What made this shoe particularly unique was the fact that it contained dizzying curves throughout the upper that made you feel like you were being hypnotized, hence the name. The bulky sneaker was made specifically for someone incredibly tall and heavy. While some of Shaq’s other shoes didn’t take off, the Shaqnosis was able to become a mainstay in sneaker culture. So much so, it recently got it’s very own retro.
Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” (2003)

If you’re a Michael Jordan fan, then you know that the Air Jordan 3 was debuted back in 1988 and “True Blue” was one of the OG colorways. However, the “True Blue” colorway only became a legendary All-Star sneaker back in 2003 when Kobe Bryant wore it. Michael Jordan was about to play in his last ever All-Star game and Kobe wanted to pay tribute. Thanks to this little nod, Bryant was able to elevate the “True Blue” colorway to legend status. It may not be the most popular Jordan 3 colorway but the significance of this offering cannot be understated. Over the years, there have been a few retros of the shoe which elevates it even more.
Nike LeBron 7 “Chlorine Blue” (2010)

LeBron James has been in his fair share of All-Star games which means he has had plenty of dope sneakers to match. Having said that, there is no doubt in our minds that the Nike LeBron 7 “Chlorine Blue” is his best. The LeBron 7 is considered to be one of the best silhouettes he has ever blessed us with. Mix that profile with a flashy blue upper and you get one of the best LeBron shoes we’ve ever seen. Period. This particular colorway had a lasting impression on the minds of sneakerheads and just a few days ago, it was retroed to commemorate its 10-year anniversary. Needless to say, LeBron came through with a classic here.
Nike Air Foamposite One (Galaxy)(2012)
Image StockX
Any list without the Galaxy Foamposite doesn’t deserve to exist. The shoe was released back in 2012 and immediately became the stuff of internet legend. Low stock numbers made this shoe almost impossible to cop as sneakerheads began to go crazy just for a chance to buy them at the retail price. Now, prices for this shoe are in the thousands of dollars as deadstock pairs continue to become scarcer. As for the All-Star game itself, Rajon Rondo was the player lucky enough to wear it. If you’re big into sneakers, this shoe probably means something to you and if you somehow got a pair, we highly suggest you never give them up.
Air Force One ‘Sheed’ High (Red Patent Leather)(2001)

Rasheed Wallace’s Nike Air Force 1 High was pretty popular at the time, especially since there weren’t many players wearing Air Forces on the court. When his Air Force 1 received a custom red patent leather colorway back in 2001, the fans took notice. There isn’t much to say about this shoe other than damn these are flashy. This is a colorway you can’t purchase but if you know, you know. They are easily one of the more unique pairs that have ever graced the All-Star Game’s hardwood.
Reebok Question (2000)
Image StockX
Allen Iverson was quickly becoming a legend during the early 2000s and at the 2000 All-Star game, the 76ers star was able to show off his infamous Reebok Question. The colorway above was made to pay homage to the Golden State Warriors who were hosting the game that season. While Iverson didn’t wear this offering in the match, the shoe immediately became available for purchase over that weekend. It’s one of those colorways that is still revered to this day and if you’re an Iverson fan, they’re an absolute must-cop. With numerous Reebok Question retros on the horizon, perhaps we will see this colorway again someday.
Air Jordan 11 “Columbia” (1996)

Michael Jordan’s first full year back in the league after his baseball hiatus was the 1995-96 season. As you can imagine, Jordan was able to make it to the All-Star Game and surprised everyone when he wore his signature shoes in a UNC colorway as opposed to his usual Chicago Bulls. The Air Jordan 11 was already a popular silhouette but the “Columbia” colorway was able to put it over the edge. Just a few years ago, there was a retro of this model and it sold out instantly. Whenever Jordan pays homage to his Alma Mater, people pay attention and this was no different. When you factor in what this All-Star Game meant for Jordan, it makes the shoe that much more special.

Derrick Jones Jr. Beats Aaron Gordon In Controversial Dunk Contest
Derrick Jones Jr. battled through two tiebreaking dunk-offs to notch the dunk contest win over Aaron Gordon during All-Star weekend.
It was a battle that ended in conspiracy, tiebreakers, unbelievable dunks, and more: Miami Heat's Derrick Jones Jr. won the NBA dunk contest in a neck-and-neck battle with Orlando Magic's Aaron Gordon.
After two tie-breaking dunk-offs, the judges awarded Jones Jr. the victory-- a decision they claimed afterward was made in error: "We thought it was going to be tied. We were like, 'This is a tie!'" Common, who was judging for the event, told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne. "But somebody didn't do it right. I don't know who it is."
Candace Parker, who was also on the judges' panel, confirmed they had intended the second dunk-off to end in a tie as well.
The final score was decided after Jones Jr. earned a 48 for a free throw line (close enough) windmill dunk and Gordon notched only a 47 for dunking over 7-foot-5 Boston Celtics rookie Tacko Fall.
"I did four straight 50s -- five straight 50s," Gordon said. "That's over. It's a wrap. Let's go home. Four 50s in a row in an NBA dunk contest, it's over. But I don't know. Who's running the show?
"It's a wrap, bro," he said. "I feel like I should have two trophies."
The NBA All-Star Game tips off Sunday at 8:00 PM EST.
Dwight Howard Hints At Kobe Bryant Tribute During Dunk Contest
Dwight Howard spoke to reporters about Saturday night's dunk contest and hinted at a Kobe Bryant tribute.
Dwight Howard is set to compete in the 2020 NBA Slam Dunk Contest Saturday night in Chicago. He had hoped Kobe Bryant would be there to help with his performance, but according to ESPN, he may honor him during the event.
"You'll have to wait and see," Howard said coyly when asked if he had anything special planned regarding Bryant.
Saturday night will be the first time the Lakers' big man has entered a slam dunk competition since 2008 when he performed his iconic superman routine.
"During All-Star Weekend, a lot of guys are getting ready for the second half of the season," Howard said. "So it is pretty hard to get those guys to want to be in the dunk contest. But, this is the thing that I enjoy. I have been dunking my whole life basically."
Howard went on to speak about an unofficial dunk contest he competed in at Venice Beach.
"After we finished dunking, I was like, 'Man, that felt really good to really get the crowd into it and just enjoy dunking and basketball again,'" Howard said. "I was super surprised that I was able to get up and dunk like that. So I said, from that moment on I was going to try to get myself ready for the dunk contest."
The 2020 NBA Slam Dunk Contest is scheduled for 9:00 PM on February 15.
Barack Obama Surprises Players At NBA Rising Stars Game In Chicago
Barack Obama met with the players selected to the NBA Rising Stars teams to start All-Star weekend. They were starstruck by the former President's appearance.
Former President Barack Obama surprised the NBA Rising Stars teams prior to the game for All-Star weekend. The appearance left the young players starstruck, according to ESPN.
"This could be No. 1," Pelicans forward Zion Williamson said, explaining that this was one of the best moments of his life. "I don't want to say it is No. 1 right now because the draft might be 1, but this is definitely top two.
"He said I played great, and I kind of zoned out after that. That was all I needed to hear, to be honest."
Obama mostly spoke with Williamson and Hawks guard Trae Young. He could be seen chatting with the two for 20 minutes.
"It was crazy being able to stand next to him, talk to him," Young said afterward. "He basically knew everything about my season, my game. I was definitely asking him a lot of questions. He was just like a regular person -- that's what was crazy. You see all these things on TV and you don't even realize. He was just talking to me like a regular person."
Williamson says Obama spent the time discussing specific plays from his time with Duke and how he's been performing on the Pelicans.
Kanye West’s Taking Sunday Service To Chicago For NBA All-Star Weekend
Kanye West is heading home to Chicago for a special edition of Sunday Service for the NBA All-Star weekend.
After taking Sunday Service across America, including Chicago, it appears that Kanye West will be bringing his weekly spiritual retreat to his old stomping grounds for NBA All-Star weekend. Earlier today, ‘Ye announced that this week’s Sunday Service will take place at the Credit Union 1 Arena, formerly the UIC Pavilion, Sunday at 2 p.m.
Frazer Harrison/Getty ImagesOnce again, the rapper will be bringing his gospel-infused performance, along with the Sunday Service choir, where he’ll perform God-oriented songs from his own catalog and others. Kanye’s Sunday Service shows have been popping up during major weekends. A few weeks back, he brought the Sunday Service to Miami to coincide with Super Bowl Weekend.
Unfortunately, Kanye’s religious alignment has found him in hot water after he headlined an evangelical event with a group that’s been known to spew anti-LGBTQ+ messages. Prior to that, he began to work with Joel Osteen for massive events across the world including in Chicago, although it’s unclear if Osteen will be pulling up to the NBA All-Star weekend.
It appears as though Kanye’s Sunday Service gig will be sticking for the foreseeable future. 2019 marked a sharp shift in Kanye’s musical direction as he committed to making non-secular music moving forward. The rapper released Jesus Is King in the fall and celebrated Christmas with the release of Sunday Service’s Jesus Is Born.
Patrick Beverley Clowned After Joining All-Star Game Skills Competition
Some are curious as to what he will be doing there.
Patrick Beverley is known around the league as one of the more menacing defenders out there. This is mostly because of his trash talk and presence on the court. Some nights, Beverley gets 40 points put on his head although that doesn't stop him from trying to damage out on the court. Having said that, Beverley has a polarizing reputation with fans that ranges from fandom to downright hatred. Regardless, Beverley continues to play his own game and his teammates love him for it.
Today, Adrian Wojnarowski made a surprising announcement on Twitter as the ESPN reporter revealed that Beverley would be participating in the Skills Competition at NBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago. For now, it remains to be seen what field Beverley will actually be competing in.
This news comes just a couple of days before the trade deadline so fans rightfully thought Woj's tweet was about a potential Beverley trade. In the end, they were disappointed to find out the true cause of why he was making the news. Some fans even took the opportunity to clown, Beverley, asking why someone like him would be in the Skills Competition of all things.
