This weekend, Canadians tuned in to watch a televised sing-a-long from some of the country's biggest stars, including Alessia Cara, Justin Bieber, Michael Bublé, and more. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke at the end of the show to instill hope in his country before Canada's real MVP, Drake, closed out Stronger Together, Tous Ensemble with a thoughtful address.
Speaking to millions of Canadians from his home, Drake talked about the gratitude he has for all the frontline caregivers working hard and risking their own lives to keep us safe. He had a first-hand experience last week as he revealed that he was admitted to the hospital because of an ankle injury, noticing all of the love and care that nurses, doctors, and other medical workers were showing.

Drake tipped his hat, saying that the "moral, the smiles, the high spirits" at the hospital were "incredible," noting that essential workers are the "glue holding us all together."
He went on to encourage everybody to keep working on themselves and their craft during this hard time.
"I want to urge everybody, in their own space to find the silver lining," said Drake. "What I mean when I say that is if you have a craft that can be worked on from home, it is an amazing thing to keep on working, keep your mind stimulated."
Drake has been finishing up his new album during quarantine, which does not yet have a release date.
Derrick Rose’s Injury Status Updated After Sprained Ankle
Derrick Rose has been a key player for the Detroit Pistons although that could be in jeopardy now.
Derrick Rose has had an interesting NBA career. There were times when people thought he could be the second-coming of Michael Jordan in the city of Chicago. He was supposed to take the NBA crown away from the likes of LeBron James. Unfortunately, an injury changed the entire course of his career. After bouncing around the league quite a bit, Rose landed with the Detroit Pistons in the offseason and has been quite good for them. Unfortunately, Rose suffered a right ankle sprain recently and had an MRI to check the severity of it all.
According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, Rose’s MRI came back negative which is good news. Despite this, he will still have to miss a few weeks of action and will be re-evaluated in the coming weeks. At this point, it’s uncertain as to when he will be back in the lineup.

The Pistons had some potential this season but long losing streaks eventually squandered their playoff chances. They are 12th in the Eastern Conference with a record of 20-42. Moving forward, it’s pretty clear the team won’t make the playoffs, especially if they lose Rose for the rest of the season.
Regardless, it’s been good to see Rose playing like his old self again. It’s just unfortunate we won’t see as much of it in this last stretch of the season.
Luka Doncic Offers Concerning Update On His Ankle Injury
Luka Doncic has been dealing with injuries all season.
Luka Doncic has been one of the most exciting players in the NBA over the past couple of years and he continues to dominate the NBA, in just his second season. His play has helped lead the Dallas Mavericks to a playoff spot and if the team continues to build, they could very well become contenders in just a few years from now. Unfortunately, Doncic has been experiencing some injury woes this season. He hurt his ankle early in the season and eventually came back better than ever. Recently, he hurt his ankle again and has missed the last two games.
While speaking to Callie Caplan of the Dallas Morning News, Doncic admitted that his injury has been lingering for a while and that it still isn't 100 percent. If you're a Mavericks fan, these comments have to give you pause.
“I mean, it bothers me sometimes," Doncic said. "Obviously, it’s not healed 100%. That’s why I missed the game in Atlanta. It was swollen and, you know, I’m just trying to keep the swelling down.”
The Mavericks are currently seventh in the Western Conference with a record of 35-23 and are 9 games ahead of 9th place. With this in mind, the Mavericks have a solid cushion moving forward, despite not having Doncic in the lineup.
