The rumors were true. After weeks of speculation that Tekashi 6ix9ine was teaming up with a big-name rapper on his new single, the identity of said superstar has been revealed and it's a familiar face.
For the last couple of days, Nicki Minaj has been teasing her return to the game with subtle hints. She shared what appeared to be some lyrics on Twitter after she was reportedly transported to 6ix9ine's secret location to film a music video. Although the song has suffered three setbacks in the form of delays, the new single from Tekashi 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj has officially been announced.
HipHopNMore was quick to report on the news, which was revealed Nicki's official webshop.
A graphic at the top of the website shows Minaj and 69 twirling their tongues on a rainbow lollipop, unveiling a collection of merchandise to promote the single. Among the offerings are $80 puffer jackets, $25 booty shorts, $70 shark pants, and more.
The digital single is also available on the shop, as well as several physical forms of the record. In the fine print, the release date is listed as June 12, marking this Friday as its arrival.

6ix9ine Says He’s Delaying New Song While Wearing Ridiculous Lipstick Filter
6ix9ine reveals he’s delaying the new music that was scheduled to drop on Friday, May 29th.
Ever since his release from prison, Tekashi 6ix9ine has assumed the role of the troll. He seems to have forgone all the gangster trappings in favor of playing devil’s advocate at any turn possible. He’s become quick with the twitter (or Instagram, rather) fingers, replying to any and every artist that so much as coughs in his direction.
It’s definitely worked as a method of promo, that’s for sure. Today, the rapper took to his Instagram page to reveal that a song release he had slated for this Friday, May 29th, will now be pushed to the following Friday, June 5th. He explains the reason for the delay is simply because the music video is not yet ready, but contemplates instead about doing an IG Live Q&A with fans on Friday instead. Time will tell.
He assures us he is not trolling, yet, he is clearly using some sort of face filter that makes it so he appears to be wearing lipstick and changes his eye colour to a bright blue.
Take a look at the video below.
Jagged Edge Announces New Album Following 112 Battle
Jagged Edge announces their new album “A Jagged Love Story” releasing next month.
Jagged Edge managed to find the perfect time to announce their brand new album, A Jagged Love Story.
One of the most storied music groups of all time, Jagged Edge, is fresh off the heels of their technical-difficulty-plagued Verzuz battle with 112. The R&B veterans have been clowned for the quality of their audio after playing a number of their biggest hits of all time. Some have even said that it sounded like they were playing music through a walkie talkie.
Timbaland and Swizz Beatz have announced new guidelines for participating acts to use their provided technology to prevent any further technical difficulties on the series. Despite the shotty audio, Jagged Edge still found time to make a major announcement to their diehard fans.
“It’s coming,” wrote the band on social media, uncovering some cover artwork and effectively revealing their new album to the world. Titled A Jagged Love Story, the boys are back and they’re ready to drop their new body of work. According to the tracklist, the full-length will run over 22 songs and it will be released sometime next month.
After their appearance on Verzuz, are you pumped about the new album from Jagged Edge? Stay tuned because it’s set to arrive in June.
Hoodrich Pablo Juan Announces "Hood Champ" Album
Hoodrich Pablo Juan reveals a new album is dropping on Friday.
Hoodrich Pablo Juan surprised fans with an announcement for a new album, arriving at the end of the week on Friday, May 22. The rapper took to Instagram to unveil the album cover for the new project, Hood Champ, claiming the new music would be for his fans just as much as haters.
Last time we heard from the Atlanta underdog it was when he dropped off his DMV project in November 2019, which featured Gucci Mane and Wiz Khalifa. As far as Hood Champ goes, Hoodrich hasn’t revealed anything aside from the cover art and release date. However he did tease a snippet of music in one of his IG videos, which is enough to get fans excited. The song’s production is wavy, with an electronic sound weaving it’s way in the background, while Hoodrich raps: “They can’t see me through the tint, my bitch get wet, my pockets are dense.”
Check out the preview below and check back with us on Friday for the full stream of Hood Champ.
6ix9ine Announces Release Date For New Music Video Before Taking IG Hiatus
6ix9ine announced that his new music video will drop this Friday, and that he’ll be taking a break from Instagram until then.
It looks like 6ix9ine has accomplished everything he wanted to so far since making his official return to social media and the music scene. The rapper has been extremely active online ever since he made his comeback a few weeks ago, starting beef with practically everyone imaginable while his new single, “GOOBA,” racked up numbers and broke records. Now, he’s taking a bit of a breather from social media, at least until he drops his follow-up to “GOOBA.” On Sunday (May 17th), right before he was supposed to battle Akon on IG live (although we were pretty certain that wasn’t going to happen anyway), 6ix9ine announced that he’ll be taking a break from Instagram, only to return once his new music video (and, presumably, a new single to go with it) drops this Friday, May 22nd at 3:00pm EST.
“I proved I’m the king of Instagram,” he wrote in the caption. “AND I TOOK BACK THE KING OF NEW YORK. I proved that to you with numbers. The internet was dead without me.”

6ix9ine had already teased the prospect of a new music video on a few different occasions. He had initially made a deal with his fans that if “GOOBA” went No. 1 on the charts, he’d drop the follow-up. However, after he himself revealed that Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber‘s “Stuck With U” was likely going to snatch the throne from him—which 6ix9ine believes was a result of Billboard “manipulating the charts”—he had to come up with another strategy. So, he decided that if a photo of him showing off his ankle monitor while attempting to lick his foot got 500K comments on Instagram, he’d give his fans a new video. It appears as though he succeeded in that endeavour, so buckle up for some new 6ix9ine coming your way this Friday.
Summer Walker Fans Shocked By How Different She Looks Now
After Summer Walker posted some photos of herself while announcing her upcoming EP, fans reacted to just how strikingly different she looks now.
Summer Walker is looking a little different these days, according to some of the people who came across her most recent posts. On Saturday (May 16th), Summer took to social media to announce that she'll be releasing a new EP produced by NO1 in the near future, and included some recent photos of herself posing in a white, cut-out jumpsuit. The comments on her IG post were flooded with her followers' reactions to her transformation. Gunna shared the news by way of a mini Instagram video trailer for the album, announcing something is in the works with Amazon as well to help promote the album. The video appears to tease a little film of sort, with Spike Jordan directing. The video shows Gunna in his habitat-- the studio, surrounded by lady friends, etc, and runs through the expected producers on WUNNA. Wheezy, Keyz, Turbo and more all going to be behind the boards. We'll have to see if this is really just a video trailer for the album, or if it'll result in something documentary-style from Gunna.
Check out the video clip below. Are you excited for WUNNA? Who do you want to see feature-wise on the album? He recently killed an appearance on Lil Durk's Just Cause Y'all Waited 2, so maybe Durkio will return the favour. Stay tuned.

Pop Smoke’s Family & Steven Victor Give Update On New Music Releases
Steven Victor, the man who signed Pop Smoke, along with the late rapper’s family announced their plans to release new posthumous music.
Pop Smoke‘s family and manager, Steven Victor, made a joint statement on Wednesday announcing that they’ll be releasing new music from the late artist throughout the next year. It’s been almost three months since the world lost such a promising young talent, after a fatal shooting resulted in the 21-year-old’s untimely death. While fans have been mourning his loss in the months following his passing, they were treated to a few posthumous releases, including the single, “How We Move,” featuring Dave East. There is also currently a whole posthumous album in the works with the help of 50 Cent and Steven Victor, the owner of Victor Victor label who helped launch Pop’s career. On Wednesday, Steven shared an official statement from himself and Pop’s family on Instagram, giving an update on all future Pop Smoke releases.
“Bashar ‘Pop Smoke’ Jackson – so genuine, bright, loving, and so full of promise,” the message reads. “A rare soul, wise beyond his years whose smile, voice, mere presence would brighten the room. He was all the things one could hope for in an artist, friend, leader, and partner. Pop’s passing leaves us all broken hearted with a wound that will never heal.”

“The public show of support and grief, by everyone touched by Pop during his lifetime, has provided some semblance of comfort during these difficult times for his family, friends, and colleagues,” the statement continues. “Throughout the next year we will be sharing new music, as we continue to build Pop’s legacy. In conjunction with his estate we will be making formal announcements on his foundation and music projects.”

“We love him so much and miss him so dearly,” the message, signed by “Victor Victor Worldwide & The Jackson Family,” concludes. Pop had just released his second mixtape, Meet The Woo 2, less than two weeks before he tragically passed. According to 50 Cent, the album should be arriving sometime later this month. There is also a Pop Smoke documentary in the works from Steven Victor himself.
Tekashi 6ix9ine Announces His First IG Live Session Post-Prison
Tekashi 6ix9ine will be heading on Instagram Live on Friday.
Tekashi 6ix9ine has been rather quiet since he was able to get out of prison due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but there have been hints here and there of things to come. He’s shared a few comments on Instagram poking fun at himself and his snitching ways, and he’s also made an announcement for when we can expect new music— and now he’s added to the announcement, with an Instagram Live session coming up later this week.
6ix9ine is slated to drop new music on Friday, May 8th, and it looks like he’ll be doing a bit of promo for it that same day. He’s announced an IG post that he’ll be hosting an Instagram Live session for the fans also this Friday, at 3 PM EST. We don’t know exactly what his music roll out will be like on Friday, if we can expect more than one song or not, so stay tuned for that.
As far as the IG Live session goes, he hasn’t shared any of the details– but he does encourage fans to “not be scared.” Alongside the announcement 6ix9ine writes, “Lets get this party started. Don’t get scared now.” The big question is, will his hair be back to its rainbow origins?
