B. Simone has transformed into somewhat of a controversial person in the past few weeks. Her comments about the protesters caused a storm on Twitter. Last week, she made comments about how she can't date someone with a 9 to 5 job, only CEOs end entrepreneurs. This led to a whole Twitter spat with many clowning B. Simone for working a regular job before publishing her book. This week, it's her book that's at the center of controversy after allegations were made that parts of it were plagiarized.

Meek Mill quickly came to her defense on Twitter earlier today when he slammed the criticism by minimizing her actions. "B Simone canceled because she finessed a book and made her way from the bottom lol," he tweeted. "what major companies y’all cancel for ripping our culture off? finding ways to display hate towards our own when they start doing good is showing amongst us a lot!"

Today is Donald Trump's 74th birthday, but rather than celebrate, many Twitter users are instead taking today to make the point that ALL birthdays matter, to prove to him—and every All Lives Matter believer—just how stupid that saying is. The hashtag #AllBirthdaysMatter began trending on Sunday (June 14th) in response to the POTUS turning 74, in an effort to steer the attention away from his birthday festivities by focusing on every person's birthday, the same way the All Lives Matter crowd does to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Most of the tweets that include the hashtag are in some way condemning Trump for the abhorred (although, unsurprising) way he's handled the aftermath of George Floyd's murder and the resurgence of the BLM movement in the public consciousness. Others decided to shine the spotlight on Barack Obama instead, some even declaring June 14th to be Obama Day. Many users simply took the opportunity to amplify and honour the lives of the many Black people who have been killed at the hands of police.

Lil Yachty has always been known to engage in some antics from time to time. In his music, Yachty exudes youthful exuberance and this same philosophy applies to his everyday life. At times, Yachty likes to film these antics and share them with the world. Typically, it always makes for some fun viewing and it's ultimately part of the reason why he is so beloved by all of his fans.

On Friday, Yachty decided to film a friendly race with his 50-year-old father, and it was entertaining, to say the least. Throughout the video, you can see Yachty talking a whole lot of smack before considerably outpacing his father. From there, he calls his dad an "old ass man" and belittles him for losing what appeared to be a make-shift 100-meter dash.

The coronavirus pandemic took a toll on major retailers to mom-and-pop shops across the country, and the world specifically. Establishments that typically rely on patrons actually spending time at their location were without a doubt among those hit the hardest. Starbucks, for example, is having to shut down hundreds of stores. 

Chuck E. Cheese is facing even bigger turmoil. According to reports, Chuck E. Cheese could be shutting down their stores permanently. The company is allegedly scrambling to remain afloat as it nears $1B in debt. The owners have, however, approached lenders to gain a $200M loan to help them out. 

Chuck E. Cheese was still functioning during the pandemic as they operated under “Pasqually’s Pizza & Wings” which was a takeout option that operated from their kitchen. “Pasqually’s Pizza & Wings, named after another favorite member of Munch’s Make Believe Band, shares kitchen space with the Chuck E. Cheese restaurant, ensuring high-quality, fresh ingredients,” they said in a statement.

For Boosie Badazz, this is the latest is a series of unfortunate events that he’s left to dwell on. He took to Instagram to air out his grievances on the news.

“I just found out Chuck E. Cheese goin’ bankrupt. 2020 fucked up, man. I never thought Chuck E. would be gone. I ain’t never think Chuck E. Cheese will be gone,” he said. “2020 fucked up. Chuck-E-Cheese, man? The best pizza in the world. I gotta tell my lil’ girl Chuck-E gone.”

Youngboy Never Broke Again is currently taking a much-deserved break after working to become one of the most consistent rappers in the game. If it felt like he was releasing new music every other week, that’s probably because he literally was. His fans were spoiled and now, he’s laying low and letting all of that material marinate.

It’s no secret that there are people who really do not like the 20-year-old. He’s got a large number of opps who constantly come after him. This week, it appears as though he narrowly missed a fatal encounter with one of them.

In a video shared by DJ Akademiks, the rapper incoherently speaks about an alleged drive-by shooting that he seeming escaped. At least, that’s what people are deciphering from the short clip.

“I could have died from a drive-by yesterday,” says NBA Youngboy in the clip. Although his speech is not entirely clear, that’s what his fans are making out. 

The troubled star has been popping up periodically on one of his motherly figure’s live-streams, previewing new music and speaking about his day-to-day activities, which supposedly include nearly dying in alleged shootings.

Thankfully, NBA Youngboy is safe and sound. He’s one of the most popular rappers in the game and it’s probably not too safe for him in the streets anymore.

Justin Bieber and Lil Twist were best friends during the darkest days of his career. These days, the pop star has saved face. He’s back in the public’s good graces after struggling for a minute, pissing in buckets and acting a complete fool in general. Much of his bad behavior was disregarded as people put the heat on Lil Twist.

Considering the fact that Twist had ties to Lil Wayne as a member of Young Money, Justin Bieber’s team allegedly asked the rapper to sacrifice his own success to protect his friend, which he agreed to. He actually ended up taking weed charges so that Bieber could be safe from the scrutiny.

In a new interview with Mina SayWhat, Lil Twist explains what went down.

“I still love Justin to this day. But his team had their knee metaphorically on my neck for years just so they could keep [Justin] clean. I took that heat,” claims Twist.

He says that he told Justin and his team that if they wanted to throw the heat on him, he could take it. 

“If they would have put weed charges on Justin in his early career, it would have been bad on him. So I got a call one day saying, ‘Twist, do you really love this kid?’ I said yes. They said, ‘Cool, if you love him then you can take the heat for him because you can come off a little weed charge. You’re associated with Lil Wayne. You’re a rapper.'”

Twist says that it got to a point where, in certain instances, he wasn’t even involved in whatever went down but he was still taking the blame for his brother.

He claims that his association with Justin Bieber definitely hindered his own success but he does not hold any animosity toward the artist. In fact, he claims that Bieber still messages him on the low but he does so secretly.

Ice Cube has been on a roll with his social media presence as of late. He has been sharing plenty of messages throughout the day about the current climate of the world but everything got a little muddy when he began posting messages that support a popular anti-Semitic conspiracy theory.

The rapper responded to the controversy about his "Black Cube of Saturn" posts, claiming that he did not get hacked and he stands by everything he puts online.

Since George Floyd lost his life at the hands of four police officers on May 25, not only has his death sparked activism across the world, but it's also caused some to mock the way he died. There was a cruel challenge going around social media where people would take photos of themselves kneeling on the necks of friends and family members, and even Crossfit issued an apology after their CEO tweeted "Floyd-19." Now, Anytime Fitness in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin is issuing an apology after they shared the George Floyd-inspired "I Can't Breathe" kneeling workout.

B. Simone seems to find herself in the middle of controversy every other week. Despite the fact that there's a lot going on in the world, her thoughts on dating someone with a 9 to 5 job has sparked outrage. Many thought she was narcissistic for her comments while others thought it was plain unrealistic. Either way, the criticism poured in for the second time in a matter of weeks.

"He can’t have a 9-5... He can be a hustling entrepreneur," she said. "I think entrepreneurs should date entrepreneurs…you’re not going to understand my lifestyle. You’re not going to understand why I’m up at 3 a.m. He has to be an entrepreneur.”

Though it seemed to be more about the lifestyle rather than the income, it still rubbed many the wrong way with Tory Lanez being the latest to chime in. Hitting Twitter, he essentially said that even some of the rappers that flex hard for the 'Gram aren't making as much money as those with a regular job.

"Lolol i guess no one told my dog B.Simone that the world got ALOT of people who work a 9-5 THAT GET MORE MONEY THAN SOME OF OUR FAVORITE RAPPERS /ENTERTAINERS ?!?!???" He tweeted before extending an invitation to all the ladies working normal hours.

"For me on the other hand ... all y’all ladies with 9-5s hit my line I got time," he added. 

YK Osiris has been asking for the smoke with all of your favorite rappers. He’s gone the distance with Lil Tjay, Blueface, and others. He’s also challenged Trippie Redd to a duel. He even slid into Drake‘s DMs with a request to get in the makeshift ring, quickly stepping back his offer and earning a response all the same.

The self-proclaimed King of R&B asked Drake to come through for a battle to see who has the toughest hands. YK Osiris has been displaying his questionable boxing skills on social media for weeks and this was his biggest ask to date. Considering the fact that Drake has shouted out Osiris in the past, it’s not too surprising to see that he responded to the 21-year-old.

“I’m trynna box u now,” wrote the Young King to Drake. He quickly went back on the offer though.

“I’m jp u gonna beat df out of me,” joked the upstart. 

Drake came through with his official response, agreeing that YK Osiris would have no chance against him.

“Least u know your limits,” said Drake with multiple laughing faces.

Drake has been training his skills in the ring, showing off some ferocious punches in his workout videos. YK Osiris may think that he’s got a shot against the rapper but Drake is probably right in thinking he’d get knocked out.
