It’s only Monday and things are already kicking off for Tory Lanez. According to a report made by TMZ, the singer has been named in a police report regarding an alleged altercation that went down between Celina Powell and Kaylin Garcia. If either of these ladies’ names sounds familiar it’s because they aren’t strangers to controversy. Celina Powell is known for airing out her alleged sexual romps with celebrities in graphic detail, while Kaylin Garcia had a short stint on reality television when she was featured on Love & Hip Hop years ago while dating Joe Budden.

TMZ reports that the altercation began while Celina was outside of Tory’s Miami condo. She claims she lives in the same building but had never seen Tory face to face before this day. Somehow, she and Tory got into an argument and he allegedly attempted to take her phone from her. Then, according to the outlet, Kaylin Garcia “blindsided” Celina after she “approached Powell from behind, wrapped an arm around her shoulder and neck, and yanked her to the ground. Powell told cops Garcia tried to kick her too … but she was able to roll over and get up.”

Celina Powell further claims that she had “blacked out” during the fight and awoke to find everyone had left. Surveillance footage showing Tory, Kaylin, and Tory’s bodyguard leaving in his Bentley exists, but there’s nothing that shows the alleged violent altercation. Celina would later tell police that Tory was angry because she’d made comments about his hairline and kept trying to hit him up on social media.

No arrests were made in connection with the altercation and Celina Powell was treated for her injuries at a nearby hospital. TMZ claims to have spoken with sources close to Tory and they blamed the event on Celina harassing the singer.

Just when he thought the bulk of his legal woes were behind him, Fetty Wap has been hit with yet another lawsuit. Over the last two years, Fetty Wap’s attorneys have been putting in overtime. Last month, the rapper was reportedly ordered by a judge to pay over $1 million to a former employee. In January, Fetty promised fans that he would be returning with new music after clearing a “million dollars in legal trouble.” He was also hit with a battery charge following an incident with a Las Vegas hotel employee, and prior to that, he was accused of assaulting a woman at an afterparty.

The New Jersey artist has reportedly been smacked with a lawsuit from the woman who accused the rapper of attacking her. The afterparty reportedly took place in Los Angeles back in June 2019, and according to The Blast, the alleged victim states that Fetty Wap “not only strangled her but also punched her in the face.”

In court documents, the woman says that she attended the get-together with friends, and “during the course of the night, Fetty Wap consumed numerous alcoholic beverages culminating with (Fetty) drinking tequila directly from the bottle. Without any justification or provocation, (Fetty) began getting aggressive and physical toward numerous people, including the (her).”

She reportedly made an “off-the-cuff comment” to one of her friends about the party and when Fetty overheard her remarks, he became angry. The woman claims he walked up to her and “aggressively” came face-to-face with her while spewing threats. “He then pressed his finger on her forehead and forcefully pushed her head back,” The Blast reports.

Then, Fetty allegedly grabbed the woman by the throat, strangled her, and pushed her against a window while saying, “I’ll kill you.” The accuser goes on to say that someone at the party eventually separated them, but that didn’t stop the rapper from allegedly continuing to go after her. The argument reportedly culminated when he punched her in the face. She called the police, filed a report, and the case was handed over to the District Attorney. The lawsuit doesn’t state what damages the alleged victim is seeking, but she makes it clear that she’s suffering from extreme emotional distress and “humiliation.”

A snippet of this incident first circulated online last year. In the video, Fetty can be seen knocking a phone out of someone’s hand. It’s reported that the Los Angeles D.A.’s office did look into this incident but refused to press charges against the rapper because there wasn’t enough evidence to move forward.

While Pierre “Pee” Thomas has enjoyed much success as the head of one of hip hop’s biggest record labels, Quality Control Music, he has been experiencing some setbacks in his personal life. He has been embroiled in a messy legal battle with his ex-partner Lira Galore over child support and custody. The two have both alleged that the other had been abusive during their relationship, taking their feud into even uglier territory. The latest development in this case is that Thomas has denied taunting Galore during a recent court hearing and wishes for her restraining order request to be dismissed. 

Galore, who also happens to be a social media star, accused Thomas of menacing her at a hearing in January. He supposedly glowered at her, shouted at her and snapped pictures of her in the courtroom. This left Galore feeling threatened and incited her to seek a restraining order that keeps him at a minimum distance of 100 feet. She also felt that Thomas’ behavior warranted a court-sanctioned psychiatric evaluation to determine whether he is stable enough to see their recently-born daughter, Khaleesi.

According to Bossip, court documents filed last week show that Thomas denied displaying any “menacing behavior” towards Galore at the hearing. While he confirmed that they’d sat across from each other, he claims he didn’t exhibit any of the intimidation tactics that his baby mama alleged. He also admitted to having spoken to her at the end of the hearing to request time with his daughter, but insists that their interaction didn’t get heated. For these reasons, he’s asking the court to dismiss Galore’s request for a restraining order and a mental eval. 

Galore is also suing Thomas for $15 million for allegedly abusing her while she was pregnant. 

Parole completed. Assault case dismissed. New album on the way. Love & Hip Hop New York star Remy Ma is enjoying her hip hop family life with Papoose and their Golden Child, and it looks as if the drama of her past is in her rearview. Now that she is no longer facing jail time over her former co-star Brittney Taylor’s accusations of assault, Remy is openly speaking about the case that nearly sent her back to prison.

“The case was totally dismissed, totally. Get it out of my courtroom,” Remy said to an applauding The Wendy Williams Show audience. “I don’t wanna say her name because she might try to sue me for ‘deformation.'” Remy was, of course, making fun of Brittney misspelling the word “defamation” when she previously threatened to take Remy to court once again. “That’s how she spelled it.”

“I just feel like, a lotta times when you’re in the public eye, there’s a target on you,” Remy said. “Anything you say, anything you do. Everyone’s looking for a quick dollar.” The rapper added that even when she’s walking down the street with her friends, she hears strangers say they should pretend to fall and hurt themselves so they can sue her. She added that she’s happy that the District Attorney’s office investigated Taylor’s allegations and decided not to move forward.

“I think she has her own problems with herself,” said Remy. “I don’t’ think it’s specific with me because I didn’t do anything to the girl. That’s what she’s doing. I have bigger and better things going on than to worry about [her].” Remy talked about what life was like on parole and how her ankle bracelet left permanent scars on her leg. To cover them up, she got her husband Papoose‘s name tattooed on the same spot. “He’s going to be my husband forever, so it’s not one of those things I’m going to regret, ” she said.

When discussing her forthcoming album, Wendy told Remy that she wanted to see collaborations with women in rap like Foxy Brown and Lil Kim. The pint-sized Brooklyn emcee is a friend and favorite of Remys, but she made it clear that she and Foxy aren’t on good terms. Remy is open to collaborating with ladies in hip hop, but sometimes the outside voices try to pit women against each other. Watch her clip in full below.

We’re sure plenty of you have stories of corner store antics that could possibly get you into trouble, but recently it was actor Bryshere “Yazz” Gray who had a run-in with authorities. The Empire star who portrays Hakeem Lyon on the hit series reportedly found himself on the wrong side of the law after a 7-Eleven clerk called the police on him and his friends. Although the incident reportedly occurred last month, TMZ has recently shared body-cam footage from responding officers showing Bryshere’s explanation of what happened.

“So, what happened with the clerk was that I guess he spit on the floor,” Bryshere said before the officer asked him who he was referring to. The actor said he was talking about his friend. “[The clerk] snapped on him. She was like, ‘Well, I’m not gon’ clean that up.’ I cleaned it up. I asked her, ‘So, if I didn’t clean this up, you would have to clean it up?’ And she said no and started snapping at me and threw something at me.”

The other officer asked him what it was that the clerk threw, but Bryshere couldn’t remember. He did say, however, that he returned the favor and tossed a bag of chips at her. “It’s on camera, she threw something at me first,” he said. “I threw something at her and then I said, okay, you know what? I’m outta here.”

The officers asked to see Bryshere’s identification because the clerk has accused him of battery, but the actor said he didn’t have it on him. The officer told him if he didn’t turn over his identification there were going to be consequences. Then, the video cuts to the officers speaking with the clerk. Her side of the story is that she told Bryshere and his friend that she wouldn’t serve them because one of them spit on the floor. She claims Bryshere cussed her out and the officer asked if he assaulted her. The clerk stated that he hit her with “all of the items on the floor.” 

According to the video, the clerk said she wanted to press charges and when the manager returned in the morning, officers were invited to come back to view the surveillance footage. Watch both explanations of the food-throwing incident below.
