In the latest battle on Verzuz, Jagged Edge and 112 faced off to determine who has the better hits catalog. Both groups have been prolific and their contributions to the R&B genre are second to none, so this was a battle that many nostalgic fans were looking forward to. Unfortunately, it was plagued with audio issues and, although people were able to still enjoy themselves and celebrate the culture, jokes came flying once the stream ended.
Since the beginning of the Verzuz series, musicians have been experiencing technical difficulties galore. Perhaps things hit a peak during the face-off between Babyface and Teddy Riley, which needed to be restarted completely. Jagged Edge and 112's battle wasn't nearly as bad as that but they definitely could have found a better sound system -- specifically on Jagged Edge's side.
The majority of memes and jokes flying across social media are clowning Jagged Edge for seemingly playing their songs through a walkie talkie. While that much is a gag, the sound quality was not as pristine as we would have hoped. Perhaps this was the way things were always meant to be. After all, both groups were dominating music in the 90s and 00s, which puts us back in the dial-up era. Maybe they were just trying to mimic that era.
What did you think of the battle? Were you underwhelmed by the audio or did you make it through fine?
Pop Smoke 911 Call Reveals Complete Chaos After Rapper Was Shot
The audio from the 911 call made moments after Pop Smoke was shot reveals that the caller failed to provide many details amid the commotion that had ensued.
Moments after Pop Smoke was shot in a Hollywood Hills home back in February, a call was made to 911, but according to the audio, the distressed caller was little help amid the pandemonium that had ensued. As we sadly know, Pop was killed on February 19th, 2020 at the age of 20, after he was gunned down by an unknown shooter. Now, TMZ has obtained the audio of the 911 call made to report the sudden shooting, and the recording (which you can listen to here) reveals…well, not much.

The call begins with the 911 dispatcher repeatedly trying to get the caller’s attention, saying “Hello?” over and over while only distressed voices can be heard in the background on the other end. Eventually, someone desperately answers the phone, clearly shaken by what was going on. The dispatcher tries to find out if the gunmen were still on the scene, but the caller interrupts him by saying, “I can’t talk to you anymore.” The dispatcher is able to keep him on the line by telling him, “Listen to me. I’m gonna tell you how to help this person.” The caller doesn’t give him the opportunity, though, and the dispatcher just insists that the ambulance are “on their way.”
TMZ also has footage of EMTs bringing Pop to the ambulance on a stretcher, where they attempted to resuscitate him. Investigators have yet to determine any suspects in the case, which they believe was a “targeted murder,” as they’ve struggled to find any “neutral witnesses.”
Apple Over-Ear Wireless "StudioPods" Potentially Dropping Soon
Rumors about Apple releasing wireless, over-ear headphones spread after an item named "Apple Airpods X Generation" appeared in Target's inventory systems.
Apple's highly speculated wireless, over-ear headphones—or "Studiopods"—may be dropping as soon as March, after a mysterious item called "Apple Airpods (X Generation)" showed up in Target's inventory systems and UPC scanners with a $399.99 price tag. Youtuber Jon Prosser revealed that multiple Target employees have reached out to him after noticing the product listed under this name. The listing is thought to be for the highly speculated over-ear "Studiopods," the latest gadget in Apple's growing wireless audio line.
Target's inventory system lists three different SKU (stock-keeping unit) for the product, meaning that these rumoured Studiopods may be released in multiple colourways. According to Prosser, the product could be launching as soon as next month. He also included a concept image of what the StudioPods may look like.
The Youtuber also shared some images of the “iPod Touch X Generation” and the “iPad 10.5 X" listed in Target's systems. He asserts that the "iPod Touch X Generation" is "almost CERTAINLY the new $400 iPhone," and that the "iPad 10.5 X" is likely the new iPad Pro. The "iPod Touch X Generation" comes with 6 SKUs, meaning 6 possible colourway options. Apple is also rumoured to be working on a design for a folding iPhone.
