Elon Musk and Grimes decided to give their baby boy the very on-brand name of X Æ A-12, giving that child a very difficult future in school. At this point, it has been confirmed that the name is pronounced “Ash Archangel” but, if we’re being honest, that kid will need to explain that to every single one of his friends and teachers forever.
It was reported that, since the name contains numbers, it would not be legal for Musk and Grimes to name their son X Æ A-12. They managed to find a work-around though, as revealed by the singer on Instagram.
“Did you change the baby name because of Californian laws? What is the baby’s new name?” asked a fan on Grimes’ new upload. She responded that they made a very slight alteration but, in retrospect, the name is pretty much the same.
“X Æ A-Xii,” she replied.
It seems as though their way around California laws was to use Roman numerals instead of the actual number 12. Pretty clever.
Did you expect anything other than this from a pair of eclectic celebrities like Elon Musk and Grimes? They were never going to name their child “Josh” after all… Are you a fan of the new name?
