Antonio Brown made national headlines back in January after an incident at his home involving himself, his trainer, and a moving truck driver. The driver accused Brown and his trainer of theft and battery. After police tried to get Brown to surrender, he finally turned himself in and was charged with felony battery. According to ESPN, Brown plead "No Contest" to that charge, meaning he has no intention of trying to defend himself further in court.
As punishment for the crime, Brown must now complete 100 hours of community service and will be on probation for two years. He also has to take part in a mandatory psychiatric evaluation. Of course, the biggest win for Brown here is the fact that he will not have to serve any jail time.
In many ways, the battery charge was the straw that broke the camels back. Prior to the charge, Brown was getting into numerous public disputes, especially with the mother of his children. Brown was increasingly falling out of favor with the NFL, but now, he seems to have mellowed out quite a bit and has been hard at work to get himself back on an NFL roster.
With this legal battle behind him, it will be interesting to see what's next for AB.
Gervonta Davis’s Ex Dretta Talks Co-Parenting After Physical Confrontation
Grevonta Davis's ex-girlfriend Dretta Smothers answered a fan who wanted to know what it was like co-parenting with the boxer following their controversial incident.
For the first time since the controversial video showing Gervonta Davis grabbing her by the collar circulated on social media, the mother of his daughter, Dretta Smothers, has commented about the situation. Grevonta Davis was caught up in a scandal earlier this year after a video was shared to social media showing him arguing with Dretta at a charity basketball game. The champion fighter can be seen grabbing her by the shirt and then in another clip, the argument continues backstage.
Gervonta Davis was met with accusations of domestic violence—allegations that he denied, saying he "never once hit her." However, the boxer was arrested and was hit with battery and domestic violence charges. Now, Dretta took to her Instagram Story to address the controversy after a fan asked her how she's been able to co-parent with Gervonta following the incident.
“Recovery is a process but it’s a WONDERFUL feeling," Dretta wrote. "Cyber Sisters it’s important to be SELFISH w/self and give yourself as much time as needed….. Putting your feelings and emotions to the side to assure your kid/kids have a healthy childhood is a 'SuperMom characteristic' and I am a SuperMom! Kids are innocent and none the less the main PRIORITY and that’s all that matters to me. Last but not least PRAYER…..<3" Check it out below.
DaBaby Speaks Out Against Las Vegas Driver Assault Allegation
DaBaby hits the ‘Gram to react to the recent allegations that he assaulted a driver.
DaBaby is at the peak of his success right now but unfortunately, he’s also found himself in trouble with the law on a few occasions. Earlier today, it was reported that an active arrest warrant is out for DaBaby after an altercation with a driver. Apparently, in Nov. 2019, the rapper and his crew ordered car service. Though they’re accustomed to the privilege of being able to smoke where they want, the driver informed them that they weren’t allowed to light up in his vehicle.

As tensions rose, the driver alleges that DaBaby and his crew got aggressive. DaBaby allegedly punched him in the back of the head while the rest of the crew uttered threats, according to the driver.
Though it wouldn’t be the first time DaBaby was accused of assaulting someone, he’s maintaining his innocence. He took to Instagram where he shared a simple message to his followers. “100% false. Y’all stay positive,” he wrote. “The devil gone always try you when you doing good.”
His attorney, Drew Findlay, echoed this sentiment in a statement to TMZ. “A 100% false accusation which suspiciously pops up in February regarding an alleged incident in November,” Findlay told the publication. “We can smell another attempted money grab.”
The active arrest warrant that’s out for DaBaby is to bring him in on a misdemeanor battery charge.

NBC Miami reports that P was taken into custody after getting checked at Checkers for starting the whole ordeal in an alleged drunken rage. The official report states that Pleasure P, real name Marcus Cooper, started his tirade at the intercom by yelling for several minutes, then proceeded to drive up to the window to yell some more before finally shoving both money and food into the victim’s chest. When policed arrived, they smelled alcohol on Copper after hearing his side of the story and proceeded to arrest him after hearing the testimonies from other Checkers employees who witnessed the attack. Although he was booked and placed in a Miami-Dade jail for an unspecified amount of time, P was later released but still faces the battery charge overall.
We hope Pleasure P can get this all situated very soon so it doesn’t affect the upcoming Pretty Ricky reunion album. Listen to their first single off the project called “Body” below:
DaBaby Battery Charge Dismissed
DaBaby’s Miami battery charge has been dismissed, but he is still being investigated for the alleged robbery of Kenneth Carey.
Despite his immaculate reputation on the charts, DaBaby isn’t exactly known for staying out of trouble in the streets. Things have gotten so serious that Joe Budden fears that the rapper will end up in prison for a long time if he doesn’t change his ways. Thankfully, the North Carolina superstar hasn’t been involved in any fresh drama in months but that doesn’t mean his legal difficulties will just disappear. DaBaby is likely thanking his lucky stars today though, as it has just been reported that he is off the hook in a Miami battery case where he allegedly beat up and robbed a concert promoter.

According to TMZ, the battery charge against DaBaby has effectively been dropped after the alleged victim, Kenneth Carey, was uncooperative. Carey currently has a lawsuit open against the rapper, where he is requesting upwards of $6 million. That will remain open for the time being but Baby is confident that he will win that as well, maintaining his innocence through and through.
Another loose string persists as the robbery charge against the “Suge” artist is still being investigated. There is a possibility he will be charged in connection to that. We will update you with more information once it becomes available.
DaBaby Sued For $6 Million For Alleged Assault Of Event Promoter
The man pursued legal action as promised.
It was previously reported that the victim who was allegedly assaulted and robbed by DaBaby at the beginning of January planned to pursue legal action against the rapper. The lawsuit has now been filed and TMZ has gotten hold of the documents detailing the compensation that the victim is seeking for his beating. The victim, an event promoter named Kenneth Carey, is suing DaBaby, his crew and his entertainment company for “well above $6 million” for battery, breach of contract, defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
According to Carey’s side of the story, the altercation occurred because DaBaby’s request to be paid more for a party appearance was turned down. DaBaby and Carey supposedly agreed on a fee of $20,000 for the former to host Stunna 4 Vegas’ birthday celebration at a nightclub – a fee that was lower than usual since Stunna is DaBaby’s friend and label signee.

The lawsuit states that Carey rented cars for the “Suge” artist and his team when they got to Miami. After one of the cars was returned damaged, DaBaby was billed for it. He asked Carey to be paid another $10,000 to cover this cost, but the promoter refused. This disagreement apparently fuelled DaBaby’s frustration and resulted in him and his team beating, robbing, pantsing and pouring apple juice on Carey.
Following this incident, DaBaby was arrested and charged for battery. He proclaimed that he will emerge unscathed from this lawsuit after being released from jail. “Don’t allow yourself to be [misled] by janky promoters and lazy ass grown men itching for the opportunity to file a lawsuit that they won’t win,” DaBaby wrote on Instagram after he was released from jail. “I remain composed and focused knowing allegations made without honesty and integrity will never be honored by the most high.”

On Tuesday (January 21), news circulated that Brown was facing charges of burglary and battery over an incident that involved a moving truck driver. According to ESPN, the driver told police that he was assaulted by Brown and the football player’s trainer, Glen Holt. The driver reportedly claims that he was hired to move items from Brown’s California residence to his home in Hollywood, Florida. Brown didn’t want to pay the $4,000 fee so the driver tried to leave, prompting Brown to throw a rock at the truck. The police were called, an argument ensued, and Brown allegedly attacked the driver and grabbed his keys to drive off with the vehicle.
It’s now being reported that an arrest warrant has been issued against Brown.
