Jada Pinkett Smith Tones Her Chiseled Abs While Working Out With Willow Smith
Jada Pinkett Smith’s ripped abs were on full display in a recent IG video, in which she and daughter Willow were using heavy books to work out.
There’s absolutely no way that Jada Pinkett Smith is pushing 50. The eternally-youthful actress has clearly been keeping up with her fitness routine in quarantine, as she shared a clip of herself and her daughter, Willow, hitting the books on Thursday, but not in the conventional way. In the video, the mother-daughter used heavy books as weights while performing a gruelling core workout, completely in sync one another as they did crunches. During the workout, Jada had her chiseled abs on full display as she put in the work to keep her six pack toned.
“A lil mother/daughter Mother’s Day prep,” Jada captioned the post. The Smith ladies received a ton of love on the post, with celebs like Kelly Rowland and Chloe x Halle commenting how impressed they are. “GOALS!!!!!” Kelly wrote, accompanied by some heart-eye emojis. Jada replied with, “all we need now is some of your workout gear.” Chloe x Halle also praised Jada and Willow, commenting a series of heart eye emojis followed by “y’all are so bomb.” Keep up the good work, ladies!
50 Cent Expresses Regret Over How Lloyd Banks & Tony Yayo’s Careers Played Out
In 50 Cent’s book “Hustle Hard, Hustle Smarter,” he spoke about why Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo never were able to amass the same amount of success as himself.
In an effort to continue his world domination, 50 Cent has released a memoir-ish book, Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter. The media mogul shares stories of his rise to fame and his ability to go from running the streets to owning multiple businesses, having a successful rap career, and elevating a media company that has produced a number of hit shows. Also inside of Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter, Fif speaks on his days with G-Unit—specifically, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo’s inability to reach the same levels of success that he was able to attain.
“I always felt that if I had maybe done a better job teaching Banks and Yayo how to evolve and change their habits, they each would be in better places right now,” 50 Cent shares in his book. He felt that as the leader of G-Unit, he should have been a better guide. “While I was out hustling (I actually hustled with his father), Banks was more content staying on his porch and watching the world from there. Banks wanted things to come to him, as opposed to going out and getting them for himself. That’s not me trying to assassinate his character—the guy has ‘Lazy Lloyd‘ tattooed on his arm. He literally wears his laziness on his sleeve.”
Fif went on to say that he did try to get Lloyd Banks to adapt to the changing times, especially as social media advanced, but it didn’t work. “To me, one answer was to change how he interacted with the culture,” the rapper reportedly wrote. “That’s why years ago I told Banks to film a video of his life and post it on YouTube. Introduce people to his lifestyle. Let the camera follow him around for a while and see how he moves. Maybe something he says or does will create a spark, go viral, and then he’ll have some heat around him again.”
When that didn’t work, 50 Cent attempted to get Banks to be more active on Instagram, especially because he could be “a little awkward in person.” Banks wasn’t having it. It was then that Fif decided he didn’t want to invest in Banks anymore. “Age isn’t about what year you were born—it’s about how you approach the year you’re in right now. If you’re open to new experiences, willing to take chances, and curious about new topics, you’re young. Period.”
Tony Yayo, on the other hand, was allegedly still caught in operating by the code of the streets. “If I got into a disagreement with another artist, Yayo’s reaction was ‘Let’s just bang ’em,’ because that would have been his response back in the neighborhood. If we got $100,000 for a series of club appearances, Yayo wasn’t thinking about putting it in the bank. His first thought would be ‘Hey, this could get us three and a half kilos of cocaine. Let’s flip those, and we’ll be sitting on some real money.'”
That wasn’t how Fif wanted to do business, and ultimately, things began to fall apart. He also added that the things he’d written about were all issues that he’d spoken with his cohorts about, so he isn’t saying anything they haven’t already heard.

We processed the past and imagined a better future. In talking about the idea of ‘becoming,’ many of us dared to say our hopes out loud,” said Michelle Obama, according to Deadline.
“Even in hard times, maybe especially in hard times, our stories help cement our values and strengthen our connections. Sharing them shows us the way forward. I love and miss you all.” Becoming is set to premiere on Netflix on May 6. Check out the trailer for Becoming below.
Chelsea Handler Poses Naked With Books
Chelsea Handler strategically covers herself with three books.
Chelsea Handler has a penchant for posing naked, for whatever reason. This isn’t the first time the comedian has bared it all for the Gram and undoubtedly it will not be last. However, it has gone viral.
Many of us are looking for new activities to keep us busy and keep our mind occupied during the quarantine, and Chelsea is here to help with that. It was a strategic decision to pose nude (as it often is when it comes to Chelsea), in order to promote her new bi-monthly book club, and it definitely worked, seeing as the amount of attention the IG post is getting today. “Do you like to have fun in the tub with learning?,” Chelsea asks on the IG post “I do. I will be sharing #GetLitWithChelsea recommendations bi monthly if you care to read some of my picks and keep your brain from turning into a pancake during quarantine.”
The books in question that she’s promoting currently are Untamed by Glennon Doyle, Untethered Soul by Michael Allen Singer and Diplomacy by Henry Kissinger.

Kim Kardashian Hopes To Axe Novel Based On Ray J Sex Tape: Report
Kim Kardashian may have reportedly received upwards of $5 million for the tape 13 years ago, but she apparently doesn’t want anyone else to profit from it.
The infamous sex tape involving Kim Kardashian and Ray J continues to haunt the reality star. Back in 2007, Vivid Entertainment released the sex tape that starred Kim and her then-boyfriend, and over the years, Kris Jenner has been pegged with accusations that she sold out her daughter for fame. However, Vivid’s founder has admitted that the company paid upwards of $5 million to Kim for her racy footage. Over the last 13 years, there have been plenty of jokes made at Kim Kardashian and Ray J’s expense. Now, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians mogul is attempting to halt the distribution of a novel that bears a similar resemblance to her true life experiences.

According to Page Six, a “family confidant” and former tabloid editor named Kevin Dickson has penned a novel titled Post Famous. The main character is reportedly a character named Zia Zandrian who not only is described as looking like Kim, but also receives $5 million for selling off her sex tape. Dickson had a close working relationship with the Kardashian family as he is described as once being the middleman between the famous crew and In Touch magazine.
The report states that “strong-arm tactics” are being used to keep Dickson from publishing his latest book. He reportedly was close to inking a deal with a publisher when his agent received “a sudden and unexpected ‘polite pass.'” Page Six writes that the publisher was allegedly told that if they even thought about putting out Post Famous they would face a heap of legal trouble. It’s no skin off of Dickson’s teeth, as it’s also reported that he’s shopping the novel to two other publishing houses and may even have a “TV adaption” in the works.
Ava DuVernay & Warner Bros Bring "Wings Of Fire" Books To TV
Filmmaker Ava DuVernay is partnering with Warner Bros to develop a television adaptation of Tui T. Sutherland’s popular fantasy novel series “Wings of Fire.”
Fans of the popular fantasy novel series Wings of Fire by Tui T. Sutherland are in for a major treat now that Warner Bros has tapped famed filmmaker Ava DuVernay to adapt the books into a television show.

According to Deadline, DuVernay will work alongside Warner Bros Animation after they won a bidding war for rights to a WoF series that reportedly reached eight figures. Ava has already won the hearts of critics and viewers alike with her Netflix series When They See Us, which won tons of awards like “Best Limited Series” at the 25th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards back in January (seen above). Pair that small screen success with her ability to tackle the fantasy genre with ease — she directed the 2018 film A Wrinkle In Time perfectly — and you’ve got just the right person for the job. Sutherland will see that her work is translated properly by serving as executive producer, and the series will be produced under Ava’s ARRAY Filmworks company. Wings of Fire takes you into an advanced society where dragons talk, make tools and go to war in the fictional lands of Pantala and Pyrrhia. Hey, if Daniel Radcliffe won’t be returning to Harry Potter anytime soon, this may be the next big thing.
Any Wings of Fire fans out there? Let us know your thoughts on this news down below in the comments.
George R. R. Martin Claims Books Will End Differently Than "Game Of Thrones"
Is George R.R. Martin about to flip the script?
It’s no secret that the final season of HBO’s Game Of Thrones was not exactly met with favorable reviews. In fact, quite the opposite; the vitriol surrounding it was enough to send showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss into hiding. In response, many fans turned to George R.R. Martin for salvation, a solution that comes equipped with its own set of frustrations. For one, the last book in the series was published in 2011, in tandem with the show’s first season. It’s been nearly a decade now, and sixth installment Winds Of Winter is nowhere to be found — and yet hope still remains.

Speaking with a German newspaper, Martin provided an interesting update on the future of his A Song Of Ice And Fire series. According to the translations of Page Six, Martin teased that “People know an ending — but not the ending.” A declaration that suggests his own vision will dete from that of Benioff and Weiss’ series, which found (SPOILERS) King Bran sitting atop the Iron Throne after Danaerys Targaryen’s murder at Jon Snow’s hands.
Of course, you can bet it would be tempting for George to flip the script and further bamboozle his loyal readers, especially now that enough dust has settled since The Iron Throne first aired. Yet it’s reached the point where simply releasing the book would be bamboozlement in itself. Are you still invested in the epic fantasy saga?

Nipsey Hussle’s Reading List Leads To Creation Of Marathon Book Club
The Marathon Book Club is doing great work.
It's no secret that Nipsey Hussle was a well-read individual, frequently naming his favorite books in various interviews and weaving references to them throughout his lyrics. In the wake of his passing, an observant fan named Simran Kaleka took it upon herself to compile a list of Nipsey's favorite books, titles he revealed through various interviews. As expected, many of them are informative works of non-fiction, centering around topics like self-betterment, money management, cultural studies, and sociopolitical analysis. The list, originally posted on Twitter, was ultimately shared thousands of times leading to the rare sort of viral moment - the wholesome and informative kind. It became so well-circulated that several chapters of The Marathon Book Club opened up in honor of his legacy.
The LA Times recently ran a story highlighting The Marathon Book Club, which runs in Los Angeles, Oakland, New York and Washington. With seventy-four members ranging from a diverse array of careers (the article cites professors, bankers, executives, and entrepreneurs) and boasting impressive educational backgrounds, The Marathon Book Club certainly sounds like a haven for intellectual discourse. But as the article also highlights, pretention is left at the door as more vulnerable topics are raised; the entire vibe sounds almost familial in nature.
While the list itself exists as a reminder of Nipsey's desire for self-improvement, the fact it inspired a book club that actively serves as a means of personal betterment speaks to the depth of his impact. Should you be interested in reading further about the members of The Marathon Book Club, check out the original piece at The LA Times. Shout out to Simran Kaleka for compiling the list to begin with.
