Prior to the George Floyd murder, Jaylen Brown was always an incredibly political person. Many athletes shy away from speaking on political issues but Brown has always been an exception to that rule. He is well versed on a number of topics and when news of Floyd's murder made shockwaves throughout the world, Brown made sure to speak up and let his voice be heard. In fact, Brown drove all the way from Boston to Atlanta so that he could take part in Black Lives Matter protests.
Now, Brown is showcasing just how ambitious he is as he took to Twitter to let his fans in on a project that he would love to see become a reality. Essentially, Brown would want to create a political media outlet that is completely unbiased. Simply put, this outlet would report on the facts with little to no opinion interjected.
Bias is one of the trickiest things in journalism because it is almost impossible to achieve. The stories you choose to cover, the words you choose to use, and even the facts you choose to include or omit, are all apart of your biases. Regardless, there is a big difference between intentional bias and unintentional bias, which we're sure Brown is well-aware of.
A basketball player creating a political media outlet would be unprecedented but if anyone could do it, it would certainly be Brown.
Celtics’ Rumored Plans For Jayson Tatum Revealed
Jayson Tatum has proven himself to be a superstar on the Boston Celtics.
Jayson Tatum is one of the best young stars in the NBA right now and prior to the whole Coronavirus shut down, Tatum was becoming one of the most consistent players in the entire league. He is a crucial player when it comes to the success of the Celtics and there is real potential for him to become a top 5 star in the league.
Tatum will be negotiating a new contract with the Celtics soon and the team will have to decide whether or not they want to pay him the big bucks. According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the Celtics are already planning on offering Tatum a max contract which at this point is certainly deserved.

Per Windhorst:
“If Jayson Tatum is the superstar that they envisioned when they began this whole rebuilding process when they traded Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce for all of those draft picks hoping to land a player like this, we could see ‘Glory Days’ for the Celtics again. But it’s very much up in the air, and I’m gonna tell ya, they’re gonna have to pay him like it because after this season ends, he is going to get most likely a max contract. They’re going to bet that he becomes that player.”
The Celtics see the potential in Tatum and paying him a hefty salary will bode well for them moving forward. However, with the Coronavirus in mind, there is no denying that max contracts will be a lot less lucrative moving forward thanks to profit losses.

The Boston Celtics star has had enough of people of color being killed by police and he is vowing to take matters into his own hands. Brown plans to have a peaceful protest of his own in solidarity with the countless others who have taken to the streets to combat injustice.

Marcus Smart was one of 10 NBA players to be diagnosed with the Coronavirus that has been making its way throughout the entire world and is ravaging the United States, pretty badly. Numerous NBA players who had the virus are starting to be cleared of it which is great news. Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell were the first two to be rid of the virus and now, Smart is 100 percent COVID-19 free, as well.
Smart recently took to his social media where he made the revelation. As he explains, the virus is no longer in his body and that he hopes everyone takes social distancing seriously, moving forward.
"Corona Free as of two days ago. Cleared by Mass Dept of Health. Thanks for everyone’s thoughts and prayers and I’m doing the same for everyone that’s been effected by this. Stay safe and stay together- apart! Much love!" Smart wrote.
Now that NBA players are starting to recover, the idea of restarting the season in the summer is gaining steam. If everyone can stay healthy while making it through the peak of the virus, we could get back to sports much sooner than later. While this is a lofty goal, it is certainly doable.
Hopefully, all of you are able to stay safe during this trying time.

Paul Pierce Divulges Which Team He Wanted To Be Drafted By
Paul Pierce won a championship with the Boston Celtics but they were never his first choice.
Paul Pierce is considered to be a legend in Boston. He helped the team win a title in 2008 and while his hot takes get him in trouble, there is no doubt he is a respected player around the NBA. Pierce was drafted tenth overall by the Boston Celtics in 1998 although he was projected to go much higher. While speaking to the “All The Smoke” podcast, Pierce admitted that he actually wanted
“The Clippers was the number one pick, and I was like, ‘Ooh, I wanna go home and play,’” Pierce said. So I worked out for them, and then I asked them for a second workout… I was projected to go No. 2 to the Vancouver Grizzlies. Clippers wanted a big man, they picked [Michael] Olowokandi.”
Pierce went on to explain how he felt while he saw himself slipping in the draft. As you can imagine, it wasn’t a very good feeling.
“The Draft comes, and I just slipped. I’m an All American, I’m a top 5 player in college, I’m up for National Player of the Year, so I’m wondering why is it that I’m slipping. I’m slipping in the draft,” Pierce explained.
While Pierce didn’t get drafted high, there is no denying things ended up working out for him.
Tacko Fall Shares Hilarious Video On What It’s Like To Be 7’5"
For Tacko Fall, being extremely tall can be a gift or a curse.
Tacko Fall has been a fan-favorite ever since his college days. He went head to head with Zion Williamson at March Madness and almost pulled off an upset. At 7'5", Fall is one of the tallest people in the entire world. He knows what it's like to have to change the way you live your life, simply because of the way you were made. As a basketball player, his height certainly comes in handy but at times, it can also be to his detriment.
Fall decided to document these struggles recently and the results were all pretty funny. As you can see in the video below, Fall can be seen trying to duck out of the way of door frames, struggling to fit in his car, and failing at taking a shower. Luckily, he was able to balance these things out with his ability to reach the higher shelves.
Fall continues to be a popular player on the Celtics despite his limited playing time. He has potential although sometimes his size doesn't allow him to be quick out on the court. Regardless, once the NBA is back, we can't wait to see Fall posterize players and block the ball out onto the street.
Hopefully, Fall's story can teach people to be happy at any size.
Paul Pierce Discusses His Trauma Following Brutal Stabbing Attack
Paul Pierce reveals he was traumatized for years after being stabbed at a nightclub in Boston.
Paul Pierce has lived an interesting life. When you’re an NBA player, this should be standard. However, some experiences tend to be a lot more traumatic than others. Back in 2000, Pierce was viciously stabbed at a nightclub in Boston after speaking to a woman. Details on what happened are pretty scarce but now, Pierce is opening up about how he felt in the aftermath of the attack.
The NBA champion was on the “All The Smoke” Podcast with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson where he spoke about the traumatic experience and how he had to move around differently for years. In fact, Pierce had to carry a gun on him for protection.
“People don’t know this, but I actually carried a gun for two years right after that,” Pierce said. “I was so paranoid. Like, I kept it in the car, I had it on me, I was so paranoid after that. I was just like, I couldn’t be in crowds. Something like that happens to you, man, it’s traumatic. I was like to the point of like, losing it.”
Luckily for Pierce, he had basketball to fall back on and was able to live his life normally. He is looked at as a hero in Boston and while his recent hot takes have resulted in various memes, there is no denying Pierce belongs in the Hall of Fame.
If there is one thing to take away from this, it’s that basketball is a huge unifier.

In his video announcement posted by TMZ, Smart says he feels fine and isn’t exhibiting any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19 infection. Moving over to the Lakers, it’s just been confirmed by various outlets that two unidentified players tested positive and also that a handful of players haven’t even gone under evaluation yet. The 76ers also reported that three members within the organization contracted coronavirus, although it’s unsure if that minor group includes players, coaches, employees throughout the franchise or a combination of each.
