Terry Crews has been under fire the past couple of days, after the actor tweeted out a stance on how to defeat white supremacy. Crews wrote to his twitter followers: "Defeating White supremacy without White people creates Black supremacy. Equality is the truth. Like it or not, we are all in this together."
Despite his intentions, whatever they might have been, the tweet has been at the receiving-end of criticism from both fans and fellow celebs alike. Amanda Seales gave him a full lesson on what is so problematic with his tweet, and his Everybody Hates Chris co-star, Tyler James Williams, has expressed level-headed outrage to Crews over the statement.
The actor attempted to combat Crews' tweet with his point of view, while also advocating for Crews' good heart: "Terry, brother, I know your heart and you know I have love for you and always will," he wrote in response on twitter.
"No one is calling 4 black supremacy & the narrative that we are hurts our cause & our people. We’re just vigorously vetting our “allies” because time & time again they have failed us in the past." He continued, "Our people are tired of white people who put on a good face a claim they “arnt racist” while operating and benefiting from the privilege of a clearly racist system. We’re not trying to do this alone. We KNOW we can’t. But we refuse to have allies who won’t go the distance."
Crews has issued a series of responses to some of his naysayers on twitter, including Williams. In response to Williams, Crews wrote: "I understand, Tyler. I was not saying Black supremacy exists, because it doesn't. I am saying if both Black and Whites don't continue to work together-- bad attitudes and resentments can create a dangerous self-righteousness. That's all."
He also shared a tweet and message for everyone: "Any Black person who calls me a coon or and Uncle Tom for promoting EQUALITY is a Black Supremist, because they have determined who's Black and who is not."
He later followed this up with another message, writing, "I believe it is important we not suffer from groupthink, and we keep minds of our own, and be allowed to ask difficult questions to each other. I believe this dialogue is important as we get through this trauma together. I love you." He continued, "Please know that everything I've said comes from a spirit of love and reconciliation, for the Black community first, then the world as a whole, in hopes to see a better future for Black people."

Doja Cat "Debunks" Controversy On Instagram Live While Addressing "#DojaCatIsOverParty"
Doja Cat returned to Instagram Live to chat about her current controversy, saying that she loves herself and explaining away the rumors regarding her chatroom behaviors.
She’s already offered up an apology, but Doja Cat has returned to speak more about her recent controversy. Initially, there were allegations that Doja Cat had engaged in racist and bigoted conversations in group chats, but the evidence to support the claims had yet been revealed. Still, the #DojaCatIsOverParty became a trending topic on Twitter before the receipts were given, and when the videos did surface, it seemed as if the Hot Pink singer would have a tough time recovering. However, she came forward with an open letter and said she’s proud of being half black and never engaged in any racist discussions.

On Monday, Doja Cat popped up on Instagram Live to talk about the scandal. “From me and the people I work with, like any business, like any conglomerate, there would be many people trying to protect what’s going on and that’s exactly what we were trying to do,” she said in her video. “So I’m just gonna, one, debunk everything.” Doja Cat had “bullet points” of topics she wanted to cover, including accusations of self-hate because, in one video, she spoke negatively about her 4C hair. “What I think the mistake that I made was saying it on a social platform, saying it out in public,” said Doja. “Maybe being honest about how I feel about taking care of my hair was a bad idea.”
She did recognize that her song, “Dindu Nuffin,” was “the worst song in the entire world. “Dindu nuffin,” or “didn’t do nothing,” is often used as a slur by alt-righters to describe black people who find themselves in trouble with the law. She also discusses the chatroom controversy and claims they were public spaces, but any racism would cause someone to quickly be banned. Check out clips of her conversation below.
Azealia Banks Goes Wild On Nicki Minaj & Doja Cat: "You Just Jealous Of Cardi B"
Azealia Banks is upset after Nicki Minaj ignored Doja Cat's recent racism controversy.
Whenever something pops off in the media about race, you better believe Azealia Banks is going to voice her opinion about it. This weekend, Doja Cat was revealed to have regularly frequented alt-right, incel-type chat rooms where she allegedly engaged in some pretty clear anti-Black conversations. The rapper, who has family from South Africa, has apologized for the videos before explaining that she was only there to "socialize." Unfortunately, that clarification was not enough for some of her fans, who decided to cancel the rapper on Twiter.
Azealia Banks is among those who want absolutely nothing to do with Doja Cat and she's also going after her "Say So" collaborator, Nicki Minaj, for remaining quiet on the issue.

"Another thing that I find fucking funny, is Nicki... for all the fucking mouth you have for Cardi B for talking shit about black women, and now you quiet because you got your little number one with this white bitch," said Azealia on Instagram, referring to Doja Cat as a "white bitch."
"You a pussy ass bitch. Fuck outta here. ... You shoulda got right on that Queen Radio and you put that bitch in the ground where she belongs. Put that bitch down in the fucking South African emerald mine where the fuck that white bitch belongs. Now I'm looking back at it, you were just jealous of Cardi... She's got more swag than you. You made a whole radio show about how Cardi B is bad for black women."
In the same video, Azealia Banks also said she thinks Cardi B is trash (of course...) and claimed to have had sex with Dave Chappelle so, there's that.
Azealia Banks Addresses Lana Del Rey Drama In Her Own Way
Azealia Banks issued a subliminal response to the controversy surrounding her former foe, Lana Del Rey, this week.
Azealia Banks may be known for running her mouth on several occasions, but this time, she’s remaining tight-lipped—well, sort of. Last week, Lana Del Rey posted an open letter “to the culture” in which she called out the industry’s double standards and denounced the unfair criticism she’s received for her lyrical content, all the while dragging a ton of fellow female artists into her mess. The letter received a massive wave of backlash, as many called out Lana for her racism and overall tone-deaf behaviour. However, Lana remained firm in her stance, which just led to even more outrage.

All the while, a past sparring partner of Lana’s was observing quietly, relishing in the satisfaction that she appeared to have been right about the songstress all along. Although Azealia has been involved in a number of feuds with many different people (and a few countries), her beef with Lana was one of the more high profile cases, especially since the two of them used to be buddies.

On Saturday (May 23rd), after Lana published yet another letter doubling down on her original point, Azealia posted a photo of herself looking at her phone with a far-from-surprised look on her face. In the caption of the IG post, she wrote, “Watching it all unfold.” It looks like this was Azealia’s way of saying “See? I told you so!”
Doja Cat Ignores Controversy, Performs "Say So" On BBC Radio 1
Despite recent calls to cancel her after videos surfaced of her engaging in racist behaviour with alt-right incels, Doja Cat still performed her #1 hit "Say So" on BBC Radio 1.
In the midst of the #DojaCatIsOverParty, the artist in question performed her #1 hit "Say So" from her house for BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend on Saturday (May 23rd). The Internet was rampant with calls to cancel Doja this weekend after videos of what appeared to be her engaging with known alt-right incels on TinyChat surfaced. Tons of claims were made about how she frequents these chats, which often allegedly serve as cesspools for racism and overall reprehensible behaviour.
As Twitter users began digging deeper into Doja's past, they came across a song of hers titled "Dindu Nuffin," a term used as a derogatory slur toward black people who stress the innocence of victims of police brutality. All of this mess caused #DojaCatIsOverParty to start trending, and since then, the rapper has remained silent.
However, although she has yet to address this "exposé" of sorts, Doja did perform "Say So," which recently spent two weeks at No. 1 and remains in the top 5 on the charts, as part of BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend event to make up for her cancelled show in the UK a few weeks ago. Although it's unclear whether Doja filmed the performance prior to this whole scandal, the video premiered on Saturday long after the alleged tea had been spilled. Watch the performance below and stay tuned for her eventual response:
Diddy Reiterates That "The Black Vote Ain’t Free" In Response To Joe Biden
Diddy repeated his earlier statement that "the black vote ain't free" in response to Joe Biden's recent controversial comments about black voters.
After Joe Biden told black voters that they "ain't black" if they're still considering voting for Trump over him, Diddy responded by restating some earlier comments about how "the black vote ain't free." On Friday (May 22nd), Biden caught some heat for making such a careless remark while he was speaking to Charlamagne Tha God during a virtual interview on The Breakfast Club.

Many, like Diddy, were outraged by how Biden's comment perfectly reflected the way some Democrats take support from the black community for granted. Diddy took to Twitter to send a message Biden's way, letting him know once again that "the black vote ain't free."
Last month, Diddy declared that "THE BLACK VOTE WILL NOT BE FREE THIS YEAR," and suggested that his black followers should "hold the vote hostage" until Biden proves that he has their best interests at heart. Diddy caught heat for his remarks, but it looks like he stands firm in his position that Biden can't just expect the black community to vote for him because he's a Democrat.

Biden later addressed the backlash he received for his comment by expressing his remorse for acting so "cavalier," insisting that he's "never, never, ever taken the African-American community for granted."
Fox News Worried About Lawsuits Concerning Misleading COVID-19 Coverage: Report
Fox News reportedly let go of Trish Regan due to her widely-criticized commentary that downplayed how serious the Coronavirus really is.
On Friday, Fox News announced that they have parted ways with prime time host, Trish Regan due to her show on March 9, that showed her stating that the coronavirus disease was nothing more than a scam and another attempt to impeach the president, Donald Trump. Regan’s on-air comments sparked all-around criticism which led to her final days with Fox News. According to New York Times this decision shocked many journalists and anchors at the network due to the fact Fox executives have adapted to withholding from public pressure and rarely make any decisions that validate any criticism of the network.
“We thank her for her contributions to the network over the years and wish her continued success in her future endeavors,” Fox News said in a statement. “We will continue our reduced live prime time schedule for the foreseeable future in an effort to allocate staff resources to continuous breaking news coverage on the Coronavirus crisis.”

Vanity Fair’s Gabe Sherman made an appearance on MSNBC’s AM Joy and stated that the network is worried about potential lawsuits, and that’s the reason behind why they let Regan go.
“When I’ve been talking to Fox insiders over the last few days, there’s a real concern inside the network that their early downplaying of the coronavirus actually exposes Fox News to potential legal action by viewers who maybe were misled and actually have died from this. I’ve heard Trish Regan’s being taken off the air is, you know, reflective of this concern that Fox News is in big trouble by downplaying this virus,” he said.
MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski delivered her own opinion regarding Fox News and suggests the broadcasters and their guests could be held accountable for their misleading claims. Brzezinski states they’re committing malpractice.
“That’s grounds for a lawsuit. People delivering the news are supposed to be giving facts, not fiction. The viewers are there to trust them. If they get poor information, or they are misled to believe they can’t get sick, and they get sick, exactly how is that not grounds for some sort of situation to arise? This is clear, and if anyone is trying to push against it, they are committing malpractice.”
As of now there’s no clear statement on what Fox plans to do about these claims.
2 Chainz Responds To Thirst Comment Scandal
2 Chainz explained that he and the woman whose photo he was drooling over, Lil Quii, are just working on building her rap career, and that’s it.
2 Chainz made it very clear that he and aspiring rapper, Lil Quii, are just business associates, after he was caught leaving a comment on of her especially racy Instagram posts. For as long as most folks can remember, 2 Chainz has been spoken for. Though he and his wife, Kesha Ward, just tied the knot in 2018, their relationship spans many years, and they even have three children together.

While it may be widely known that they are one of the happiest couples in the game, 2 Chainz got himself into a bit of a pickle when he was exposed by a random Instagram user for commenting on a post of up-and-coming rapper, Lil Quii. 2 Chainz was floored by Quii’s photos of her posing in her underwear, commenting “”Gullll” with the wide-eyed, surprised face emoji and the monkey covering its eyes emoji. He got called out shortly after when a user replied to his comment, writing, “N*gga you married,” and the whole interaction was captured by The Shade Room.
However, the rapper insists that it’s not what it looks like. A few hours alter, he posted a screenshot of his text conversation with Quii and further explained the whole situation, even though he “hate[s] to explain sh*t.” His and Quii’s text exchange begins with a past request for him to assist her with developing looks for an upcoming video shoot. Fast forward to Wednesday, he texted her about how everyone was making a big deal about his comment on her post.
“Just saw shade room sh*t” he wrote to her, along with an angry face emoji. “Yeaaaaaa like wttffffff,” she replied, followed by, “Folks be reaching bra they tripping on god.” In the caption, he explained, “Y’all keep hitting me up about that lame ass Sh*t @theshaderoom posted about me and @customizeeme we been working on her project and working on getting her out her current deal , now that I explained that and I HATE TO EXPLAIN SH*T !! But when Kesha had folks calling her and talking sh*t had to straighten it !! A bunch lonely , jealous , no having ass hoes. !!” Well, there you have it: just a business relationship, nothing more, nothing less. We look forward to hearing what the two of them are cooking up in the studio, though.
DaBaby Fans Divided After Rapper Hits A Woman
DaBaby's controversies continue to rise after the rapper was booed out of a concert venue for allegedly striking a woman, which he claims was out of self-defense.
Charlotte rapper DaBaby is one of the biggest artists in the world right now, enjoying tremendous success after hustling for years on the underground circuit. With his fame growing very rapidly, so have his controversies. The recording artist has a considerable track record when it comes to rumblings of assault, robbery, and more. Thankfully, nothing has been bad enough to ruin the course of his career thus far but, if things continue to pile up, there is no question that he will find himself in further trouble. That happened again this weekend after DaBaby was booed out of a concert venue after he struck a woman in the face, claiming he did so out of self-defense.

Fans of the North Carolina figure are unsure of how to proceed with their support of the rapper, who has consistently been getting himself into very risky situations. This was the final straw for some, while others are ready to give him another shot.
After this weekend's incident, memes are blowing up on social media, referencing DaBaby's potential conversation with his lawyer, the woman he slapped going to pick up a fat check, and even more madness. Nathaniel Woods Executed In Alabama Despite Protests
Nathaniel Woods has been executed in Alabama for the murder of three police officers in 2004, despite pleas of his innocence from activists and his co-defendant.
Nathaniel Woods has been executed in Alabama for the murder of three Birmingham police officers in 2004, despite his co-defendant, Kerry Spencer, pleading Nathaniel’s innocence and activists protesting his execution on social media. According to the states corrections department, Woods was pronounced dead at 9:10pm local time on Thursday, and did not give a final statement. Back in the summer of 2004, police stormed the apartment complex where Woods and Spencer were suspected of dealing drugs. Three officers were shot and killed and another was wounded, and both Woods and Spencer were convicted of capital murder the following year and were both sentenced to death.
However, Spencer has insisted that Woods did not partake in the shooting and subsequent deaths of any of the officers. “Nathaniel Woods is 100% innocent,” Spencer penned in a letter from death row shared by his lawyers. “I know this to be a fact because I’m the person that shot and killed all three of the officers. I pray that my words don’t fall on blind eyes or deaf ears. Don’t allow another innocent man to be executed if you can do something to put a stop to it. This is my most fervent prayer.” Activists have rallied behind Woods and protested his unjust sentence for years, but in the weeks prior to his scheduled execution on Thursday evening, the support for Woods grew immensely on social media. Woods’ lawyers, backed by many concerned civilians, petitioned Alabama Gov. Kay to stay the execution and commute sentence. However, despite a temporary halt ordered by the Supreme Court mere minutes before his execution was slated, the request was ultimately denied. He was executed by lethal injection on Thursday at 42 years old.
