We think it’s fair to say that DJ Khaled has kicked off the new decade in a major way. The “Wild Thoughts” producer welcomed his second child, won his first Grammy, debuted his acting chops in Bad Boys 3 and paid a visit to Drake‘s Toronto mansion (that inspired his next home) for a secret project.

Khaled isn’t even close to being done since he’s shared on Instagram that he’s got another project on the way that’s not a record. The mega-producer posted a clip to Instagram that sees him in a different kind of studio with director Michael Bay, clearly cookin’ something up. The lengthy caption details Khaled’s accomplishments so far and how grateful he is for his success. “Just got my GRAMMY now I’m in studio wit @michaelbay and we not making a record today we making a movie ? I WANT A OSCAR !!!!!!! BE PATIENT ILL GET ONE!” he wrote.
“My last 2 weeks has been so amazing! I was in the bad boys for life movie ? acting wit @willsmith @martinlawrence wow ! now I’m working wit @michaelbay wow. Than I’ve been blessed to have a healthy baby boy ! I’m a father of 2 boys ! Wow ! Then went to go see @champagnepapi on a top secert mission wow! and then I WON A GRAMMY! Here’s How Your Favorite Artists Rang In The New Year
How did hip-hop get down?
New Year's Eve is a versatile evening. While some opt to ring in the transition with utter debauchery, others opt for a more reserved approach. Some even use the opportunity to take a travel day. Many use the opportunity to look forward and set goals, obtainable or otherwise, for the benefit of their future selves. No matter how you spend it, there's always something to do. Even--nay, especially-- if you're a world-famous hip-hop superstar.

More importantly, however, is to make sure your own New Year is one filled with positivity. We at HNHH would like to wish you all the best on the dawn of this new decade, and invite you to share your favorite musical moments of 2009-2019 right here. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year: What Was Your Favorite Music Of The Decade?
Happy New Year!
It’s 2020, and a new decade is officially upon us. Given the rarity of the occurrence, you can expect to be reminded countless times in the days, weeks, and months to follow. In all seriousness, however, it does feel like a big deal. The period between 2009 and 2019 proved immensely fruitful for pop culture, effectively bringing a variety of new movements to the hip-hop landscape. And to think, Nas deemed hip-hop dead back in 2006 — perhaps he was merely looking to spark a second wind.

Now veteran artists like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, A$AP Rocky, Young Thug, Future, Tyler, The Creator, Frank Ocean and many more arrived and grew into superstars. Classic albums, ranging from Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy to Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly became defining musical moments. Against all odds, Dr. Dre dropped an album.
Rather than amassing a quote-unquote objective take on the decade’s best, it feels right to open the floor on this particular topic. With that said, what are your favorite albums and songs of the past ten years? Was there a moment in hip-hop you feel was truly memorable? I understand that gathering your thoughts following New Year’s Eve festivities may be a tall order, but no pressure here. Consider this a moment of sober and judgment-free reflection. And most importantly, Happy New Year from all of us over at HNHH!
