Pete Buttigieg has officially notified supporters that he will be stepping away from the 2020 Democratic primaries ahead of the presidential election.
The announcement came after the South Bend, Indiana mayor finished in fourth place in the South Carolina Democratic primary.
Buttigieg made history as the first openly gay major presidential candidate but ultimately could not hold strong as the race ran on, especially as he failed to reel in Black votes across the board.

He makes the announcement just ahead of Super Tuesday in which 15 American states and territories will decide the fate of one-third of all delegates. So ar, Buttigieg was slated to fall largely behind Joe Biden and Senator Bernie Sanders. The decision to put a halt to a Sunday0night rally in Dallas, and a Monday-morning fundraiser in Austin, Texas.
“Sometimes the longest way around really is the shortest way home,’’ Buttigieg said before a crowd, per The New York Times. “The truth is that the path has narrowed to a close, for our candidacy if not for our cause. Tonight I am making the difficult decision to suspend my campaign for the presidency.”
Sunday night, Senator Sanders spoke in Los Angeles, making a not-so-veiled attempt at reeling in Buttigieg's supporters.
“He is the first openly gay candidate for president of the United States and he did extraordinarily well,” Sanders said. “And tonight, I just want to welcome all of his supporters into our movement and to urge them to joining us in the fight for real change in this country.”
Flavor Flav Denounces Bernie Sanders’ "Fake Revolution"
Flavor Flav is upset with Bernie Sanders and Chuck D using the Public Enemy name without his consent.
Flavor Flav sent a statement to Billboard on Saturday disavowing Bernie Sanders' upcoming rally in Los Angeles that will feature Public Enemy, according to XXL.

He wants to make it clear that he does not support the candidate and would prefer the rally advertise as "Chuck D of Public Enemy" and not "Public Enemy."
"We have become aware that Flavor’s bandmate and Public Enemy co-creator, Chuck D, has endorsed Bernie Sanders’ candidacy for President and plans to perform at an upcoming Sanders Rally," Flav's attorney Matthew H. Friedman says in the statement sent to Billboard. "While Chuck is certainly free to express his political views as he sees fit—his voice alone does not speak for Public Enemy. The planned performance will only be Chuck D of Public Enemy, it will not be a performance by Public Enemy. Those who truly know what Public Enemy stands for know what time it is, there is no Public Enemy without Flavor Flav.
“Sanders has promised to ‘Fight the Power’ with hip hop icons Public Enemy—but this Rap Icon will not be performing at the Sanders Rally,” the statement continues. “To be clear Flav and, by extension, the Hall of Fame hip hop act Public Enemy with which his likeness and name have become synonymous has not endorsed any political candidate in this election cycle and any suggestion to the contrary is plainly untrue. The continued publicizing of this grossly misleading narrative is, at a minimum, careless and irresponsible if not intentionally misleading.”
He finishes by taking a jab at the campaign: "Flav has always delivered his authentic self. That authenticity compels him to speak out to ensure voters are not misled and that Public Enemy’s music does not become the soundtrack of a fake revolution."
The Bernie Sanders "Fight The Power" rally featuring Public Enemy is scheduled for March 1st at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Donald Trump Clowns Cory Booker For Dropping Out Of Democratic Presidential Race
Cory Booker is no longer running for President.
It's official: Cory Booker will not be elected as the Democratic Presidential Candidate in the upcoming election to determine the next President of the United States. With such a large number of supporters, it's very clear that Donald Trump will be representing the Republican Party in the fall, possibly even leading the way against anybody that the Democrats choose to pit against him. Right now, there are no clear leaders on the left that pose a major risk to Trump's popularity. Cory Booker, who had been campaigning for several years in hopes of a 2020 run, officially called off his participation in the 2020 Presidential Election, dropping out and allowing his fellow leftists to battle it out. As you would expect, Trump had a message for Booker on social media, clowning him and taunting the politician by saying he was never a real threat in the first place.
"Really Big Breaking News (Kidding): Booker, who was in zero polling territory, just dropped out of the Democrat Presidential Primary Race," wrote the President on Twitter this morning. Yes, this man seriously is the President... "Now I can rest easy tonight. I was sooo concerned that I would someday have to go head to head with him!"
We live in a world where a man this petty and this childish is in charge of the country. Good times, y'all. The Democratic race continues to narrow down. Who is your favorite right now?
