Big Sean has been working hard on his new full-length musical release, Detroit 2. Announcing the new album several months ago, the rapper told fans that he was back in the right headspace, ready to finally unleash some fresh music on us. This weekend, he posted up on Instagram Live with DJ Khaled, who played the role of an investigative music journalist, trying to uncover all the secrets hiding out about the new album.
Asking Big Sean how many songs were on the tracklist, if the cover artwork was finished, and more important queries about Detroit 2, he got some telling answers from the man of the hour.

When asked if the album would be longer than usual or if it will contain the "right amount of songs," Big Sean confirmed that the latter is more of the case this time around. DJ Khaled also asked him if the cover artwork was finished yet, to which Sean replied in the affirmative.
"Cover is done," he confirmed before noting that he sent the art to a few of rap's heavy hitters to get their thoughts on it. He says that he texted it to Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole, teasing their possible involvement in the project in doing so. On the other hand though, he likely just respects their opinion so much that he wanted to see what they thought of the vibe.

Big Sean told "The Rap Pack" that despite the quarantine, fans can expect "Detroit 2" to arrive sooner than later.
While other artists are holding off on sharing their new projects, Big Sean is ready to drop. The rapper has been teasing Detroit 2 for some time, even sharing that the album may come prior to his scheduled Coachella appearance. Now that the world is on pause because of the COVID-19 quarantine, events have been canceled, but Sean told The Rap Pack that a pandemic isn't going to stop him from moving forward with his project.

Especially when you on a label and all these things and it definitely can happen and is happening. At the same time, it's just like, we've had to readjust a few things."
The rapper said that the public has been receiving differing timelines of when the quarantine will be over, but it keeps getting extended. "People like, ‘It’s only gonna last few—It should be up by this time in April' and this. And then it just keeps expanding, right? So, you hear things about how streams are down and all these things, but I also believe in making music for a cause, for a purpose, to heal, to help, to inspire."
"I truly feel like that's why, especially this project, it got songs that relate to me right now," he added. "I feel like it's time, especially for these times that we're in. So, I do feel the responsibility to, no matter what, get it out." Are you hyped for Detroit 2?

One little girl had a braided hairstyle that was woven to perfection, complete with a set of beads on the bottom of her braids. If you look hard enough and swipe through the photos, you'll see that the hairstyle is inspired by a photo of the rapper.
