Dez Bryant has always been one of the most outspoken players in the NFL. As of right now, he isn't on a team but he has certainly been working hard to get himself in playing shape. When it comes to issues of race and discrimination, Bryant always speaks from the heart, and recently, that's exactly what he did.
There are numerous protests going on throughout the country and Bryant seems to believe Cowboys owners Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones, as well as tight end Jason Witten, could learn a thing or two about them. In the tweets below, Bryant says these three men should be brought to the protests as they would learn a lot about what real unity is.
Perhaps these comments were inspired by the fact that the Cowboys recently released a statement about police brutality and how they want to bring people together. It's important to note that Witten actually saw Bryant's tweet and tried to call him. Witten even advocated for peace and said that it's time white people listen and learn about what's going on in the world. This is a sentiment Bryant ultimately agreed with as he hit Witten with the prayer emoji.
We are facing unprecedented times in America right now and unity will certainly go a long way right now. Hopefully, the sports world is able to enact some serious change moving forward.
Dez Bryant Rips Into Cowboys For Andy Dalton Signing
Dez Bryant is weighing in on the Cowboys decision to sign Andy Dalton.
Last night was a pretty surprising one for Dallas Cowboys fans as their team decided to sign the likes of Andy Dalton to a one-year deal. Dalton was recently released by the Cincinnati Bengals and many thought he would want to be a starter somewhere. By going to Dallas, he has basically guaranteed that he will be a backup to Dak Prescott next season.
However, Prescott is currently in contract negotiations with the Cowboys and both sides seem to be at odds. Former Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has been watching this situation closely and last night, he sounded off on the Dalton signing. As he explains, the Cowboys need to stop disrespecting their star QB.
"Nothing against Andy dalton because I think he’s a great player..but the cowboys are extremely out of line... Pay Dak... I watched the cowboys pay Tony Twice once without a winning rec... I guess the cowboys viewing the QB position a plug in piece because of the dominant offense," Bryant wrote.
Bryant knows what it's like to go through these contract talks so his insight is fairly interesting. Not to mention, he has played for the Cowboys and knows just how much money they bring in every single year.
Over the next few weeks, it will be interesting to see how Prescott's negotiations will play out, especially with the addition of Dalton on the roster.
Dez Bryant Reacts To CeeDee Lamb Taking No. 88 For The Cowboys
Dez Bryant used to wear 88 in Dallas and now, CeeDee Lamb will be taking over the jersey number.
During the NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys got extremely lucky as a highly-touted offensive prospect fell into their lap. Of course, I am talking about none other than CeeDee Lamb who many have described as the steal of the draft. As it stands, Lamb is on track to be a huge star for the Cowboys and the city is already welcoming him with open arms. In fact, the squad has already allowed him his choice of jersey number. In a move that shouldn't be surprising, Lamb chose to honor players like Michael Irvin and Dez Bryant, by choosing the number 88.
Bryant immediately took to Twitter after the news to congratulate Lamb and encouraged him to "be you and be great." Bryant was also asked by a fan if he felt some type of way about Lamb's choice to take the number 88. As Bryant explains, he simply wants to be a role model for the younger players in the NFL.
"I can’t feel no way but be supportive of lamb and the rest of these young stars that’s entering the league," Bryant said. "I believe it’s my job to help them succeed as much on and off the field."
Bryant is currently in the midst of trying to get back into the league so perhaps one day, we will get to see Lamb and Dez on the same field together. That would certainly be a lot of fun to watch.
Dak Prescott Delivers Glowing Review Of Dez Bryant
Dez Bryant and Dak Prescott have been working out together as of late.
Dez Bryant and Dak Prescott were a pretty good wide receiver-quarterback duo just a few years ago with the Dallas Cowboys although since then, they have been split up. Prescott is in the midst of contract negotiations with the Cowboys while Bryant is out of the league and looking for a team that will sign him. Just last week, we reported on how Bryant and Prescott were working out together and that the two seemed to be connecting quite nicely.
Thanks to some footage from David Robinson, we can now see one of the passes Prescott threw to Bryant. As you can see, Bryant caught a perfect spiral and seems to have plenty of gas left in the tank. Not to mention, Prescott had some praise for Bryant following the workout, telling a reporter that Dez should absolutely be on a team right now.
Of course, Prescott didn't say the Cowboys specifically, since these days you have to be careful about that sort of thing. Regardless, Bryant could certainly be a great fit with his former team and there are plenty of fans out there who would like to see him back someday.
Even if he doesn't play with the Cowboys, there has got to be a team that would take a chance on him.
Dez Bryant Works Out With Dak Prescott, Sparks Cowboys Rumors
Dez Bryant and Dak Prescott are working out in the midst of the NFL offseason.
Dez Bryant's career in the NFL was put on hold just a couple of years ago after sustaining an Achilles injury with the New Orleans Saints. Since then, he has been working hard to try and get back into the league. He has made it abundantly clear that if he were to get back into the NFL, he would want to play for none other than the Dallas Cowboys which is the team he spent the vast majority of his career with.
Bryant sparked some heavy Cowboys speculation recently when he announced on Twitter that he had just engaged in a workout with none other than Cowboys quarterback, Dak Prescott. Prescott received the franchise tag from the Cowboys recently and is in the midst of negotiations for a new contract. With the two working out together, it appears as though they are looking to keep their chemistry intact in case of a potential reunion.
This should be great news for Cowboys fans who have been wanting Bryant to rejoin the team. While nothing is guaranteed, there are certainly some reasons to be excited. If you were to add a healthy Bryant to a Cowboys receiving core with Amari Cooper, the Cowboys would instantly become an even more dangerous offensive team.
Dez Bryant Gives Some Insight On NFL Comeback Aspirtations
Dez Bryant is looking for a new home next season.
Dez Bryant’s NFL career has certainly been a rollercoaster of emotions. The former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver was released by the team back in 2018 and when he tried to play for the New Orleans Saints, he suffered an Achilles injury before his first game. Since then, Bryant has been working hard to get back in shape and find a new NFL home. Heading into this free-agent period, Bryant is more than ready to play and at 31 years old, he seems excited to get back into the swing of things.
Recently, Bryant was at a Dallas Mavericks game where he spoke about his desire to get back in the league. As he explains, his absence was mostly mental at first, but now he’s back in a space that is conducive to success.
“I miss the game,” Bryant said to Black Sports Online. “I did get injured but I’m not even worried about that. It was just more so up here [mentally] than anywhere and I got that in check and I’m just ready to put on a show.”
Heading into free agency, it remains to be seen where Bryant will end up. Regardless of where he goes, there is no denying he can help a team in need. Who would you like to see him play for?
Skip Bayless Laments Over Possible Dez Bryant Return To Dallas
Skip Bayless has some concerns about Dez returning to the Cowboys.
Dez Bryant is one of the most infamous wide receivers in the history of the Dallas Cowboys. His skills on the field are unquestionably great. While in his prime, Bryant was a man on a mission who could make quick work of your secondary. Unfortunately for Bryant, he was released by the Cowboys just a couple of years ago and eventually injured his Achilles while working out with the New Orleans Saints. Since then, Bryant has been rehabbing his injury and is looking to make a comeback in the NFL.
There have been some rumors that Bryant could wind up on the Dallas Cowboys again. As you can imagine, these rumors have greatly disturbed FS1 analyst Skip Bayless. On today's episode of Undisputed, Bayless lamented over the possibility of Bryant coming back and what it would take for him to work within the Cowboys system. As Bayless explains, he thinks Dez needs to take a limited role.
"Did Dez wreck Dak's sophomore year in the NFL? Yes he did. But I can see this if Dez Bryant has humbled himself, to the point that he would accept the Jason Witten-type role," Bayless said. The host even tried to claim Bryant should play tight end every now and then although Shannon Sharpe quickly shut that down.
Needless to say, if Bryant does sign with the Cowboys, Bayless will be in a shambolic state.
Dez Bryant Seen Catching Passes From Patrick Mahomes: Watch
Dez Bryant would look good in a Chiefs jersey.
Dez Bryant has been adamant about making a comeback and finding his way onto an NFL roster. Bryant still has the talent to be a productive member of a team although unfortunately, injuries have kept teams from making a move. With free agency quickly approaching, Bryant is in a great position to potentially get another chance and make a good impression. He has reportedly been talking to the Dallas Cowboys although these discussions are simply feelers and nothing more.
In some clips that made their way to Twitter, Bryant was seen catching passes from none other than Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes is easily the best quarterback in the league right now and has the accuracy of a veteran QB. With this in mind, some fans are excited for the possibility of Bryant joining the Chiefs.
Realistically, this workout doesn't really mean anything other than the two players are friendly and wanted to get in some reps together. However, if Mahomes likes what he sees, we're sure he has the power to put in a good word with his organization. The Chiefs are contenders next season and Bryant would be joining the perfect situation.
If Bryant does come back, which team would you like to see him play for?
Dez Bryant Reveals Whether Or Not He Would Consider The XFL
Dez Bryant is serious about returning to football.
Dez Bryant was one of the best wide receivers in the entire NFL when he was in his prime. Unfortunately, Bryant eventually left the Dallas Cowboys and he hasn’t been able to secure himself a spot in the league, ever since. Injuries have certainly hurt Bryant’s case although he is adamant about someday getting back into the league. In fact, Bryant has been very open as of late in regard to rejoining the Cowboys who were his very first love.
During a recent conversation, Bryant spoke about the brand new XFL and whether or not it’s an avenue he would ever consider. As he explains, he still thinks he can make it in the NFL and that for now, the XFL isn’t even on his radar despite him knowing that deep down, it’s a high level of competition.

“Nah, not at all,” Bryant said per Lorenzo Reyes of USA Today. “I know I can still play. That’s not an issue for me. I have high confidence in myself. No disrespect to the XFL, I just know I can play in (the NFL), that’s not a question.”
