While many are donating to bail funds across the nation to help protestors who've been arrested while fighting for justice, others are taking the time to list off all these celebrities who donated just to call them out for supposedly doing something wrong. Fox News' Tucker Carlson hopped on the airwaves with this sort of compiled list of celebrities in an attempt to seemingly "out" them for helping "rioters and looters."
After naming off companies that have donated to Black Lives Matter, he indicates that “it isn’t just major corporations that are fuelling all of this—celebrities are too, by paying to get violent rioters out of jail.” He then begins naming some of the famous folks who have given money to help bail out protesters, convincing himself that this is a bad thing.
Kehlani appears on the screen fairly early on, which the singer herself managed to capture and post on Instagram. “Finna sign this n send it to my granny,” she wrote. “#F*ckFoxNews.”
While Kehlani was proud of her inclusion in this list, Lil Nas had a bit of a different reaction, mostly because Tucker insinuated that he specifically had “helped incite” riots.
"This man just lied and told millions of people on national television that i was inciting riots," Lil Nas tweeted. "You can’t make this up." Seth Rogen was also among the celebrities that Tucker thought he was shaming for donating to a worthy cause, but the comedian's reacted similarly to Kehlani. "I think when white supremacists are bothered by your actions, that’s probably a good thing," Seth wrote in the replies of a tweet that had shared the clip and said, "Tucker Carlson thinks he’s outing celebrities."
Another comedian, Patton Oswalt, who donated to bail funds also addressed this "exposé," tweeting, "I regret to inform all my followers that your grandparents are no longer fans of my comedy. Sorry to ruin your Thanksgiving."
Anyway, if you'd like to donate to bail funds by state, you can go to to the National Bail Fund Network here, or if you'd like to split a donation to bail funds across the country, visit ActBlue Charities here.
DJ Envy Defends Kanye West Amid Donation Backlash: "I’m Lost"
Kanye West has continually been dragged despite his charitable donations and appearance at a Chicago protest.
Kanye West finally broke his silence, donating $2 million to the families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery. He also put aside money in a college fund for Floyd's daughter Gianna and donated to local businesses in his home state. In addition to that, West was spotted on the frontlines, protesting with Tony Williams and others in the South Side of Chicago. So why are people still mad at him?
That's the question that DJ Envy is asking himself this morning.
It may have made sense for there to be Kanye slander as he was remaining silent but, now that he has shown that he supports the movement, you would expect people to stop dragging his name through the mud.
"I’m lost..." said DJ Envy, co-host of The Breakfast Club on Twitter. "Kanye gave the families 2million, a trust fund for the daughter and helped business that were looted and people are mad???? Why??"
This week, there were plenty of memes flying around, joking about how West was nowhere to be found amid all the social and political unrest. At that point, he had reportedly not been to any protests, not publicized any donations, and not made any statements. Given his previous support of Donald Trump, it was assumed that he wasn't speaking out because he didn't agree with the reason for the protests. Clearly, that was wrong to believe.

George Floyd GoFundMe Records Most Donations Ever
George Floyd’s murder has changed the world like never before, recording the highest-ever number of donations on a single GoFundMe campaign.
George Floyd’s daughter declared as she sat atop Stephen Jackson’s shoulders at a recent protest: “Daddy changed the world!” She was right.
As protests continue on and force world leaders to consider re-structuring the way systems have been destroying certain communities, a donation-based effort for the family of George Floyd has broken records as the campaign that has officially earned the most-ever donations in GoFundMe history.
Launched just over a week ago, the Official George Floyd Memorial Fund has earned the most donations on a single GoFundMe campaign ever, so says a spokesperson for the website.
Over 500,000 people have contributed to the fund with monetary donations, also leaving kind messages in the comments. People from over 125 countries have joined the cause and, in total, $13 million has been raised so far.

According to Floyd’s sister Philonise, the money raised will be used to cover funeral and burial expenses, counseling, lodging and travel for court proceedings, and his family as they seek justice for his murder. Some of the money will also be put aside for George’s kids to provide for their education.
Not so shockingly, the second place on GoFundMe’s list of the most-donated-to campaigns is one to have a wall built at America’s southern border. That has raised over $25 million with over 300,000 donations.

Vans Announces Massive Pledges To Civil Rights Groups
Vans is speaking up following the police murder of George Floyd.
George Floyd’s murder at the hands of the police has been one of the biggest stories in the world over the past week and with good reason. Protests have raged all throughout the United States as people demand justice and a full-on change to the system that has failed its people time and time again.
Numerous brands have come out in support of the protesters and now, Vans is joining the fray. Yesterday, they put out a statement showing their support for the black community and are even putting their money where their mouth is. Vans will be donating $100,000 to the NAACP as well as two $50,000 donations to Color of Change and the GSA Network. If you’ve been counting, this is $200,000 to civil rights groups.
Per Vans:
“There is no place for hatred or bigotry in our family. We stand in solidarity with the Black community. Black Lives Matter.⠀
We all have a duty to dismantle racism, create change, and help carry this weight. We know we have a lot to learn and we must continue to look inside and out for ways to support every member of the Black community. To help fight racial hatred and discrimination, Vans is donating $100,000 to the @NAACP, $50,000 to @colorofchange, and $50,000 to the @GSANetwork.”⠀
This is a huge donation and will certainly go a long way, at least for the time being. Perhaps more brands will follow suit.
Joe Budden Teases Virgil Abloh With Photo Of Designer’s Face On $50 Bill
Joe Budden couldn't help himself when he took to both Twitter and Instagram to poke fun at Virgil Abloh's recent comments.
It was a rough day for Virgil Abloh on Monday (June 1). The wealthy fashion designer and CEO of Off-White captured attention after he shared his anger over his friend's store being looted by rioters taking advantage of protests. After being criticized, Abloh issued an apoloy. "I apologize that it seemed like my concern for those stores outweighed my concern for our right to protest injustice and express our anger and rage in this moment," he said. "Buildings are brick and mortar and material things can be replaced, people can't. Black lives matter. In this moment, those other things don't."

In an effort to make amends for his remarks, Virgil Abloh shared that he'd donated $50 to Miami-based organization Fempower to help toward paying legal fees for detained protestors. He was quickly scrutinized for the amount of the donation, especially considering the cost of Off-White apparel, so he returned once again to explain that he has donated over in thousands to various efforts.
Never one to miss an opportunity to comment on the culture, Joe Budden took to social media to tease Abloh. "Y’all still buying 'Off White' ? Whole different meaning now huh lol," he tweeted. Budden later followed it up with, "Virgil’s response was the wild part… 'i did that to inspire the brokies' lol smh." He topped it all off over on Instagram when he shared a photo of Abloh's face on a $50 bill. Check out Joe Budden's message below.
Russ Raises $250K For Black Lives Matter From T-Shirt Sales
Russ is hoping to raise up to $1 million for Black Lives Matter from the sales of a "white silence" shirt he wore back in 2017.
It's apparent that some of our favorite entertainers have opted to keep their mouths shut about this current political movement. Reporter Don Lemon recently stirred the pot when he called out celebrities, by name, who he believed should have used their platforms to condemn police brutality and injustice. Even so, there are plenty of others who remain silent, but it hasn't gone unnoticed—especially by Russ. The rapper-singer has taken to social media not only to raise awareness about Black Lives Matter but to put his money where his mouth is.
"Some artists are scared to lose their fanbase meanwhile black people are scared to lose their LIFE everyday," Russ wrote. Then, he shared a 2017 photo of himself wearing a t-shirt that reads: "If you want to change the system, speak up White silence is the problem." Russ decided to sell the shirt and give all proceeds to Black Lives Matter.
At the time of this publication, Russ has raised over $250K for the cause, and now he has his eyes set on $1 million. We'll have to wait and see if he'll be able to reach his goal, but for being just a few hours, this has been quite the accomplishment. Check out a few of his tweets below.
Virgil Abloh Pens Lengthy Apology Over Looting Comments & Donations
Virgil Abloh sets the record straight after facing heat for his $50 donation and comments about streetwear.
Virgil Abloh’s been under fire in the past 24 hours for his comments regarding the recent protests across the country, especially when it came to his “streetwear is dead” comments. Abloh’s comments came across as slighting the racial injustices that people are fighting for across the country over brick-and-mortar stores that can be replaced.

“Yesterday, I spoke about how my stores and stores of my friends were looted. I apologize that it seemed like my concern for those stores outweighed my concern for our right to protest injustice and express our anger and rage in this moment,” he said.
“Buildings are brick and mortar and material things can be replaced, people can’t. Black lives matter. In this moment, those other things don’t,” he wrote. “People who criticize ‘looting’ often do also as way to make it seem like our fight against injustice isn’t legitimate. I did not realize the ways my comments accidentally contributed to that narrative. As mentioned yesterday, if looting eases pains nd further the overall mission, it is within good standing with me.”
Immediately after, he explained the $50 donation that he’s been hounded over. He explained that it wasn’t the only donation that he made and apologized that it came across that way. “I can understand your frustration if you think my contributions were limited to $50. purely false when it comes to the total. I have donated $20,500 to bail funds and other causes related to this movement.”
