Back in 2001, Eminemkilled his performance of "I'm Back," wearing a pair of denim dungarees, a hockey mask, and a chainsaw as he rapped. The move was controversial, to say the least. However, controversy wasn't (and isn't) anything that the Detroit legend was afraid of. The look was immortalized in action figure form and Drake managed to get his hands on one Chris Smokes, who works closely with Champagne Papi and DJ Khaled.

Showing off the figurine on his Instagram story, Drake didn't add much commentary to the post, simply tagging Smokes and letting the viewer connect all the dots. On the box, which has been kept intact and unopened, it is written that the toy soldier is part of the "most controversial action figure lines in history." Drake and Eminem don't have much history but the Toronto native has expressed his respect for some of rap's most prominent characters in the past.
What makes this somewhat ironic is the fact that, in one of the new leaks that Drake put out this weekend, he uses Eminem's flow from "Superman." Perhaps that's the reason why he's sharing this in the first place.
Do you hope/think that Eminem and Drake will collaborate in the future? That would definitely be one for the ages.
Drake Continues Rollout With Tone-Setting Pictures
Drake continues to set a tone following two new songs, taking to Instagram for an impromptu photo shoot.
Following the surprising events of the weekend, which is to say a new two-pack from Drake, it’s becoming abundantly clear that the 6ix God is gearing up for an album. And given how many pieces are moving, it feels like it’s coming sooner rather than later. With Drake already confirming that the project would be a more concise effort that Scorpion, many have been wondering if he’s gearing up to release the best album of his career. Between the brevity, the brooding sound of “Chicago Freestyle,” the Jay-Z sampling “When To Say When,” and a possible Benny The Butcher collaboration — it’s entirely possible.

Furthering speculation that album mode is in process, Drake followed the drop with some tone-setting Instagram pictures. Often one to embrace the concept of “Scary Hours,” Drizzy’s new pictures may very well be hinting at a new visual aesthetic. Set against the backdrop of the New York skyline, there’s a minimalist feel to the snapshots, a quality that we can only hope indicates a raw and uncut direction from the megastar.
Given everything that has transpired in Drake’s narrative throughout the past five years, perhaps a return to “bars,” a back on his bullshit moment if you will, has been inevitable. Enough people have been questioning his pen game — why wouldn’t he looked to quell the doubt on his sixth studio album, seventh if you count More Life. What do you think? Is Drake about to make some major moves in the weeks to come?
Matt Ox Says He Turned Down Drake’s $150,000 Offer To Buy His Song
Matt Ox says OB O’Brien hit him up to buy his song “Messages.”
According to Matt Ox, Drake was apparently interested in buying one of his songs a couple years ago, but the 16-year old rapper said he wasn’t having it. In a recent interview with No Jumper, Matt told Adam22 that Drizzy wanted to buy his song “Messages” for $150,000 dollars, but he didn’t believe it.
“Drake tried to buy my song first,” Matt says looking rather disheveled and lets say tired in the clip. “Messages,” he replies to Adam when asked which one Drizzy wanted. “He was tryna pay us $150 thousand bro,” Matt Ox said while adding that Drizzy wanted to keep the song from coming out. “I said no,” he repeated. When asked if he was directly in talks with Drake, Matt Ox said no, and that OB O’Brien from the OVO camp hit him up.
While Matt says he didn’t go through with it because he lowkey thought it was fake, Adam too reiterated that it could’ve been a scammer, to which Matt agreed & believed. However, Matt and Drake do share a common interest in producer Oogie Mane, of Working On Dying, who produced Drizzy’s Scorpion hit “I’m Upset,” so the two worlds coming together isn’t as crazy as it sounds.
Later, Matt said he was down to do a song with Drake in the future, but then again that’s just common sense for any up coming artist really. Check out the uninspiring chat (below) and let us know what you think. Is Matt Ox out of his mind here or do you think Drizzy really wanted his song?
Drake Gets Dragged For Disrespecting Baby Mama On New Song
Drake calling his baby mama a "fluke" on "When To Say When" draws strong disapproval.
When Drake hops on a track, he can get brutal and honest - most of the time he's brutally honest. That's especially the case when he drops a loosie freestyle. This past Saturday night saw the arrival of two of these: "When To Say When" and "Chicago Freestyle". On the former, Drake said something that had listeners perplexed and disturbed:
"Baby mama fluke, but I love her for who she is"
In May of 2018, amidst the heat of Drake's famous beef with Pusha T, it was revealed that Drake was "hiding a child." On his diss track "The Story of Adidon", Push exposed Drake for having a son with a mystery woman who was later identified as Sophie Brussaux. Some speculated that the Toronto rapper was keeping this information a secret because he was embarrassed about impregnating a woman with whom he didn't have a serious relationship. Drake has since addressed the situation on various Scorpion songs and now he has provided another commentary, which is rubbing people the wrong way.
While Drake may have just referred to his baby mama as a "fluke" because the pregnancy was not planned, listeners are interpreting the line as more derogatory than that. One Twitter critic suggested that Drake rapping "Brought a few Ws to the 6ix" before the "fluke" line could be placing the mother of his child in contrast to the other fine women he has brought home. Others are crediting his remark to Future's bad influence.
Check out the uproar below.
Amanda Bynes Shows Love To Drake Again In More Appropriate Manner
Seven years after Amanda Bynes' public plea for Drake to have sex with her, she is praising his music on Instagram.
Somehow, it has been a whole seven years since Amanda Bynes sent out that iconic tweet: "I want @Drake to murder my vagina." She may not have intentionally wished to celebrate this anniversary, but a recent post of hers on Instagram is calling back the memory.
Bynes shared a screenshot of one of Drake's IG posts and, in her caption, highlighted how two of his songs are currently among her favorites. She listed his collaboration with Rick Ross, "Money In The Grave", and his collaboration with Lil Baby, "Yes Indeed". The She's The Man actress also showed love to two Roddy Ricch tracks, "Ballin" and "High Fashion".
The 33-year-old, who recently acquired some new face tats, has since deleted this post, likely due to all the attention it was attracting. While this Drake-shoutout is definitely more tame and innocent than her last, some people thought it was a bold move to bring up his name again. “Oh no not this again,” one fan commented. "After all that I would never mention Drake again!," wrote another.
Despite whatever disturbance may have been caused by Bynes' "murder my vagina" request, it was later excused as a result of drug use. She told Hollyscoop in 2017, "I was serious, but I was also on drugs, so that was my way of saying like, 'Let’s do it man.' But I was on drugs and trying to be hilarious." In her latest IG post, she shared that she has now been sober for a year and two months. She also recently got engaged to Paul Michael, who she reportedly met in AA.
50 Cent Secures Roddy Ricch For Posthumous Pop Smoke Album, Waiting On Drake
50 Cent is getting the ball rolling on executive producing Pop Smoke’s posthumous album.
On Sunday (Mar. 1), 50 Cent revealed his plan to executive produce Pop Smoke’s posthumous album. It appears 50 got his hands on the late Brooklyn rapper’s unreleased songs, which inspired him to polish them off and share them with the world. 50 has been openly mourning the loss of Pop Smoke, who was a friend and fellow NYC artist with a ferocious voice and drive. 50’s passion for the cause definitely makes him well-fitted to put the finishing touches on what may be considered as Pop Smoke‘s first official debut album. The head of Pop’s label, Steven Victor, has confirmed that 50 has been handed over the reins for this role.
The TV mogul has already started holding casting calls for the project on his IG page, where he handles most of his affairs. After first announcing that he was on the hunt for a Roddy Ricch feature, “The Box” hitmaker responded that he is ready to report for duty. 50 then sent out his next request for Drake to appear as a guest, simultaneously taking a little jab at him. “See i got @roddyricch on deck, this shit gonna be stupid ?♂️ @champagnepapi where you at n****, don’t start acting light skinned on us.” Despite this playful call-out, Drake would probably be honored to contribute to the Pop Smoke album, as he has expressed great respect for him in the past.
Another New Drake Track Surfaces With "Not Around"
More new music by Drake surfaces online, this time with a song titled “Not Around” which features a beat produced by Pi’erre Bourne.
The word “leak” has been synonymous with Drake for what’s felt like weeks now, first with his Detox reference track for Dr. Dre, followed by The Weeknd’s demo of “Practice” and most notably by his own admission with the double play of “When To Say When” and “Chicago Freestyle.” Now, we’ve got yet another Drizzy banger assisted by Pi’erre Bourne production titled “Not Around.”

This one definitely appears to be an unofficial leak, which sees Drizzy giving bars to an unnamed stripper fling that he tricked on at one point and used to make pornos with until she “got morals n’sh*t.” Pi’erre provides a dreamy instrumental complimented by the now-standard hi-hat, and even his son Adonis gets a shoutout as well, proving that Drake is finally feeling more comfortable with publicly embracing fatherhood.
Listen to “Not Around” by Drake right now over on SoundCloud. Until the next one!
Quotable Lyrics:
I make it rain in this b*tch
I make it snow in this b*tch
She tryna get out of the mix
Shawty is going legit (Shawty is going legit)
Me, I’m supporting this sh*t
This is a story
It came from my life, and I’m just recording this sh*t
Imma just give it to you direct instead of me throwing this sh*t
You know you important n’sh*t
You know I’m supporting this sh*t
We used to do pornos when you would come over but now you got morals n’sh*t
I got, like, four on the wrist
And an adorable kid
I got a drac’ in the studio and I don’t just mean that I’m in this b*tch
Drake Gets Dragged Online For Michael Jackson Lyric In New Song
Drake's MJ line could have two meanings.
Everything Drake does is put under a pretty big microscope. He can't drop a bar without expecting people to dissect it in every way. The Toronto superstar dropped two new songs this weekend, “Chicago Freestyle” and “When to Say When.” The latter features a bar that set Michael Jackson fans off, while others think that Drake is defending himself from rumors.
The line in question goes, “Michael Jackson shit, but the palace is not for kids / Still women sayin’ it’s childish the way we live." The Twitterverse went in on Drizzy.
Several others online thought it was a clever way for Drake to address the Millie Bobby Brown and Billie Eilish rumors online. Drake has been criticized for having friendships with both girls, who are underage. Drake is anticipated to drop a new album in 2020. The arrival of two new songs confirms this rumor, and the fact that Drizzy didn't drop anything in 2019 adds fuel to the "album dropping soon" fire. Do you think Drake's bar about Michael Jackson was disrespectful? Or was it just a clever use of wordplay to defend himself against rumors? Sound off below.
Drake Drops Two Songs As One Music Video

What do you think? Did the boy do it again?
The Weeknd’s Demo Of Drake’s "Practice" Surfaces
The Weeknd’s version of Drake’s “Practice” has hit the internet.
Earlier today (Feb. 29), audio of The Weeknd‘s demo version of Drake‘s hit single “Practice” popped up on Soundcloud. Now, the leaked version of the song has rekindled the conversation about how much the “Blinding Lights” singer might have actually contributed to Drake’s sophomore musical offering, Take Care (2011). Fans of both artists have fought in the past about how impactful The Weeknd’s contributions were on the album and now, it looks like we’re going to get another round of Abel vs. Aubrey: The Take Care Saga. Ollie Millington/WireImage/Getty Images
According to The Weeknd, he gave up a total of four songs that were supposed to be used for his iconic House of Balloons (2011) mixtape. Those songs included “Crew Love,” “Shot For Me,” and “The Ride” for Drizzy’s 2011 effort. Years later during Take Care‘s six-year anniversary a fan commented on a Complex Instagram post claiming The Weeknd wrote the album to which the Toronto rapper swiftly replied:
“Abel CO WROTE on Shot For Me and Practice, obviously was featured on Crew Love and The Ride and that’s it…there’s 20 songs on that album…don’t try me.”
Now, with the arrival of The Weeknd’s reference track for “Practice” where he harmonizes “you been waiting for me” and “Practice” a couple of times make the actual final version, we’ve all heard and have become accustomed to today. The Weeknd and Drake have one of those complex business and personal relationships that the general public will probably never get the opportunity to truly understand. Regardless, both artists are immensely talented and created some timeless records together.
Listen to The Weeknd’s demo track of “Practice” in the streaming link provided below and check out all of Drake and The Weeknd’s collabs, here.
