Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán's sons, Iván Archivaldo Guzmán and Jesús Alfredo Guzmán, are enforcing coronavirus lockdown measures in the Mexican city under their cartel's control by threatening violence on anyone who violates the mandatory curfew. Iván and Jesús, also known as "Los Chapitos" or "Little Chapos," currently run their incarcerated father's infamous Sinaloa drug cartel in the city of Culiacán, and they've made it very clear to the residents of the Mexican town that the coronavirus pandemic is a serious matter. “After 10 o’clock at night, all the people must be inside their homes due to the coronavirus, otherwise they will be punished," a member of the Sinaloa Cartel announced in a video circulating online. "These are orders ‘from above,'” he specified, referring to Los Chapitos.
“This is no game! We’re not playing!” he added. In another clip, Culiacán residents are warned that “anybody caught after 10 o'clock, if not an essential worker, will be ‘lifted’ for two days and will have to pay a fine.” In this case, "lifted" refers to beating with boards.

Los Chapitos have been running their father's cartel ever since he was extradited to the US in 2017, where he then received life in prison in 2019. He is currently serving his sentence at ADX Florence, a prison in Colorado known as the “Alcatraz of the Rockies.” Meanwhile, Chapo's daughter, Alejandrina Guzman, has been seen offering coronavirus relief packages to those in need, which include items like medical masks, food, and hand soap.
“A lot of people don’t believe [the coronavirus], aren’t careful, I think because of what we’ve been through,” said a woman from Tamaulipas, a border state near Texas plagued by cartel violence. “They say if 10 years of war haven’t killed us, a virus isn’t going to. We’ve been living 10 years in quarantine."
El Chapo’s Daughter Joins The Fight Against Coronavirus
El Chapo’s daughter has been putting together aid packages for people in her native Mexico.
El Chapo is known to be one of the most ruthless drug kingpins the world has ever seen. He is currently serving jail time although his influence and menacing presence are still felt in his native Mexico. Despite this, it looks like his daughter, Alejandrina Guzman, is doing her best to help out the people of Mexico during the Coronavirus crisis.
As of right now, cases are starting to skyrocket in the country and people are dying at an alarming rate. In order to create some relief, Guzman has begun putting together aid packages called “Chapo’s Provisions.” The packages even have El Chapo’s face on them and inside, people can find medical masks, food, hand soap, and some other goods that will keep them safe during this trying time.
Needless to say, anyone can do a good deed during these uncertain times and it appears as though Guzman is about to save lives while also bringing some smiles to people’s faces. Numerous celebrities have been contributing some relief efforts of their own and these initiatives have certainly gone a long way.
Perhaps Guzman will inspire other people in Mexico to come through with their own relief initiatives. At this point, every little bit helps.

El Chapo’s Daughter Marries Rival Drug Kingpen’s Nephew In Mexican Cathedral
Keeping it in the family.
Witnessing the bizarre timeline and events of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman’s life has inspired an entire subgenre of some of the greatest television dramas of this current generation. However, with the former head of the Sinaloa Cartel serving a lifetime prison sentence in Colorado, he missed the opportunity to walk his daughter, Alejandrina Gisselle Guzmán Salazar down the aisle late last month as she wed, Édgar Cázares, the nephew of Blanca Margarita Cazares, also known as “The Empress.”

The two held a private, lavish ceremony at the Cathedral of Culiacán, in the heart of the city where the Sinaloa Cartel ran their operation led by El Chapo and still thrives today. The celebration featuring hundreds of guests, a bulletproof limo, multiple highly-popularized Mexican bands, and a fireworks display was heavily guarded by armed cartel members and cordoned off by yellow police tape.
According to The Sun, Alejandrina shared the dance floor with her mother, Maria, El Chapo’s first wife, in his presence.
33-year-old, Alejandrina Gisselle Guzmán Salazar and Édgar Cázares have officially fused the Sinaloa Cartel with Blanca Margarita Cazares’ alleged cartel money laundering enterprise that is supposedly responsible for funneling billions of dollars of cartel money through real estate, factories, restaurants, and more throughout Mexico and the United States.
The Sinaloa Cartel’s ability to take over the prestigious Cathedral of Culiacán and use it as a wedding venue for El Chapo’s daughter sparked outrage throughout Mexico. Falko Ernst, the senior Mexico analyst for the International Crisis Group, had this to say to The Guardian:
“It is a reminder of how deeply embedded and powerful the Guzmán family remains in Sinaloa’s society. They are effectively part of the elite. They are treated as such by other members of the elite, including parts of the church.”
Rodolfo Soriano-Nuñez, a sociologist who studies the Mexican Catholic Church, claims that the church has had ties to organized crime syndicates for decades as he stated:
“Locking down the cathedral and pretty much giving it away gives very bad optics and forces one to raise all sorts of questions regarding the decision-making process.”
An Instagram account entitled, @chicapicosa2, was able to obtain photos of Alejandrina and Édgar on their wedding day, but since then has removed the photos. However, they did obtain some additional footage of the ceremony worthy of a look. Check out the videos and photos of Alejandrina Gisselle Guzmán Salazar and Édgar Cázares’ big day below.
Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Ex-Manager Shotti Gets Bad News From El Chapo’s Lawyer
Once a lawyer for El Chapo, Jeffrey Lichtman now wants no parts in representing Kifano “Shotti” Jordan on his appeal case.
Kifano “Shotti” Jordan, the imprisoned ex-manger of Tekashi 6ix9ine, seems to be making friends during his current prison stay. However, his plans to appeal the 15-year sentence may come to a sudden halt now that his big-wig lawyer is requesting to be removed from his case altogether.
Based off an exclusive report from AllHipHop, Jeffrey Lichtman has asked a judge to excuse him from defending Shotti after further reviewing the case. Lichtman’s reasoning behind the change of heart lies in his belief that Shotti has zero chance at winning an appeal due to the fact that he signed a valid appeal waive that actually prohibits the high-powered lawyer from challenging the sentence.
Here’s one of the key things addressed in the letter Lichtman wrote to Judge Paul Engelmayer, which was obtained by AllHipHop:
“I respectfully submit that the record from the district court contains no reversible errors. To the contrary, the record reveals that Mr. Jordan knowingly, voluntarily and intelligently pled guilty to the charges,” Jeffrey Lichtman wrote to Judge Paul Engelmayer in an attempt to excuse himself from representing Shotti.
“Accordingly, I submit that there exists no non-frivolous issues on appeal. For these reasons, counsel should be permitted to withdraw,” argued Jeffrey Lichtman.
You can take a look at a copy of the letter over on AllHipHop. In the meantime, take a look at a fan-made “best of” compilation of Tekashi and Shotti’s friendship before their highly-publicized fallout:
