A walk down Love & Hip Hop Atlanta memory lane with Shay Johnson had the reality star sharing a bit of background information about her former flame Lil Scrappy. The 36-year-old television personality began her reality TV journey when she was a cast member on Flavor of Love back in 2006. She may not have won the heart of Flavor Flav, but 14 years later, she's now a featured cast member on Love & Hip Hop Miami.

Prior to joining the Sunshine State's cast, Shay was introduced to the franchise as the girlfriend of Lil Scrappy back in 2012. The relationship was two parts of a love triangle that included Erica Dixon, the mother of Scrappy's daughter. Recently, VH1 producers sat down with Shay and had her watch her first scenes on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta to get her reactions to her first appearance.
"Y'all brought that old thing back," Shay said. As she watched, she struggled through continuing on because she said she was "so over this moment." She called Scrappy an "ass wipe" and a "piece of sh*t," but said after the cameras left that day way back when, she and Scrappy "did the nasty." However, Shay made it clear that she's "over that man."
"That was the first time I got all the lies and the bullsh*t because I didn't know what was going on," Shay stated. "He was feeding me lies and bullsh*t. And what you don't know is that I am the one that got Lil Scrappy on Love & Hip Hop. If it wasn't for me, he would not have been on there. You're welcome." She said that her manager received information that the show was making its way to the ATL and looking for new cast members, and at the time she and Scrappy were an item after he split from Erica and Shay left her abusive relationship.
She claims that she got an interview with production first and mentioned him, then later gave Scrappy the news and advised him to meet with VH1 as well. "What I didn't know is, he came in with his mama, his baby mama, brought his daughter on, and I had no idea until the show aired," said Shay. "And made the decision to tell them it's either Shay Johnson or his baby mama to be the main character. He was like, 'Well, make my baby mama the main character so I can get off child support.' Can you believe that? I put a check on you, money in your pocket, you got bands because of me and you X out my position?" Watch Shay Johnson share her story about Lil Scrappy below.

Lil Scrappy and Bambi welcomed their first child back in 2018, and now they’re expanding their family.
Another baby will be coming to Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. Lil Scrappy‘s blended family continues to grow now that it’s been announced that he and his wife Bambi are expecting their second child together. The happily married reality television couple’s son Breland was born back in September 2018 and they’ll welcome their newest addition later on this year. TMZ reports that Bambi is approximately 18 weeks pregnant so it’s too early to learn their child’s gender.
The couple tied the knot in the Fall of 2017 after reuniting following a breakup that played out on reality television. This next child will be Scrappy’s third, as he also shares a 14-year-old daughter named Emani with his former fiancé Erica Dixon. That relationship, too, was featured on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and ended on a sour note.
For some time, Erica was struggling to maintain a cordial relationship with Lil Scrappy and Bambi, but all seems to be better on the home front. In the Spring of 2019, Erica gave birth to her twin girls, Embrii and Eryss. She has a partner that she’s managed to keep out of the public eye for the time being. Let’s hope that this growing, blended family can stay on good terms. Check out a few fun family photos below.
Erica Dixon Says People "Wished Death" On Her Twins Over Anti-Vax Stance
She recently revealed she wasn’t going to vaccinate her twin girls and the internet had a meltdown.
She’s been attempting to live a quiet, non-reality television life as a mother of three, but Erica Dixon continues to make headlines. The Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star has been co-parenting with her ex-fiancé, rapper Lil Scrappy, and his wife Bambi. Last year, Erica surprised the public with news that she was pregnant with twins, but she made sure to keep the identity of her boyfriend under lock and key.

Never been vaccinated and have never been sick,” she tweeted. The anti-vax movement is on the rise so while it isn’t surprising to hear of more new mothers choosing not to vaccinate, the public backlash is often swift. Since she shared her anti-vax stance, Erica told TheJasmineBRAND that people have wished death on her girls.
“I really didn’t know it was so a controversial subject,” she reportedly said. “To each it’s own but mine won’t be vaccinated. And for those saying negative and disrespectful things – [it’s] hilarious. My children would be nowhere near them or their’s anyway.” She added, “The twins’ father is vegan. He definitely is against the twins getting vaccinated,” she said. “I went vegan prior to my pregnancy and throughout as well…I did some research and asked questions as they saw their pediatrician…My research consisted of reading about both vaccinated and unvaccinated children, [and] how it would affect them when it came to daycare and school, side effects, risks etc.”
Erica added that her girls will be able to attended school like other children, but she will need to first sign a waiver. “We have to learn to agree to disagree without being disrespectful,” Erica added. “Especially those that wish death on my children because they aren’t vaccinated. I would never wish death on anyone’s child – vaccinated or not. Then again, the internet gives a lot of people heart because they wouldn’t dare say half of what that say social media to my face.”
