Lil Yachty has always been known to engage in some antics from time to time. In his music, Yachty exudes youthful exuberance and this same philosophy applies to his everyday life. At times, Yachty likes to film these antics and share them with the world. Typically, it always makes for some fun viewing and it's ultimately part of the reason why he is so beloved by all of his fans.

On Friday, Yachty decided to film a friendly race with his 50-year-old father, and it was entertaining, to say the least. Throughout the video, you can see Yachty talking a whole lot of smack before considerably outpacing his father. From there, he calls his dad an "old ass man" and belittles him for losing what appeared to be a make-shift 100-meter dash.

George Floyd’s 6-year-old daughter, Gianna Floyd, opened up about missing her father, whose murder at the hands of police last week sparked nationwide protests against police brutality and systemic racism. On Thursday (June 4th), Gianna and her mother, Roxie Washington, sat down with ABC News to talk about George. When asked by news anchor Eva Pilgrim what she wants people to know about her father, Gianna told her, “kinda that I miss him.”

During the interview, Gianna says that her dad always “played with me,” which Roxie emphasizes. “She didn’t have to play with nobody else ‘cause daddy was gonna play with her all day long…I mean, that was his baby. He loved his little girl.”

Roxie also adds that while she didn’t tell Gianna exactly what had happened, the 6-year-old knew something was different about her dad’s death. “She said ‘I hear them. I hear them saying my daddy’s name,’” Roxie explained. “She doesn’t know what happened. I told her that her dad died ‘cause he couldn’t breathe.” At one point, Gianna reveals what she wants to be when she grows up. “I wanna be a doctor,” she says. “I wanna take care of people.”

In a new viral clip, Gianna can be seen on the shoulders of one of her dad’s best friends, NBA star Stephen Jackson, looking around proudly. “Daddy changed the world!” she declares.

It was recently revealed that Kanye West had set up a college fund for Gianna, along with covering the legal costs for the families of Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor.

Though his pre-fame come-up might have been difficult at times, Joyner Lucas can officially say he’s made it in the rap game. Not only has he finally dropped off his anticipated debut album ADHD at long last, he’s also earned the respect of veterans like Eminem, Royce Da 5’9″, Chris Brown, Will Smith, and more. Suffice it to say, Joyner is doing pretty well for himself, to the point where he can pay it forward for his loved ones.

And that’s exactly what he did on his father’s birthday. Taking to Instagram to showcase some of the kingly gifts, Joyner revealed that he recently copped his dad a Mercedes Benz and a diamond-encrusted Rolex — not only that, but he also shared a throwback picture of himself and his dad in simpler times, with Joyner Sr. holding it down with bottle in hand. 

At this point, it’s become a rite of passage for rappers to bless their parents with lavish gifts, gestures that often lead to some genuinely wholesome moments. We can only hope Joyner and his dad enjoyed a drink together like old time’s sake, but only after taking the new car for a lengthy spin. Congratulations to the Lucas boys.  

A Long Island man is under arrest, after allegedly murdering his father during a Zoom call with over 20 people.

"They just noticed him fall off the screen and then they heard heavy breathing," Suffolk County police detective, Lt. Kevin Beyrer, said, according to the New York Times. "It was horrible that they had to witness this."

Thomas Scully-Powers, the 32-year-old son of Dwight Powers, interrupted his father's Zoom call and began beating on him in view of the camera. He then exited the room and returned holding a knife. Witnesses on the call phoned 911 as the elder Powers was pulled off off-screen by his son.

When police arrived on the scene, the son lept out of a second-floor window and fled to a nearby deli. There, he attempted to clean himself of his father's blood using bottles of Dr. Pepper. He was soon found by police.

Suffolk County District Attorney, Timothy D. Sini released a statement commenting on the unsettling case of patricide.

Rick Ross was forced to take a paternity test for two children belonging to his former girlfriend, Briana Camille, as we reported the other week. Now, the results are in and he’s all but confirmed to be the father of Camille’s two young children, Berkeley and Billion.

Despite the legal actions taken by Camille, the Maybach Music CEO has shared photos of his children in the past, thus also confirming his paternity it would seem. Nonetheless it appears as though things eventually soured between Rozay and Camille, as Camille moved to take legal action after claiming that Ross had made very little effort to visit his two kids, aged two and three years old. This, all while Camille is reportedly pregnant with a third child fathered by Ross.

Now that the court has confirmed with 99.9% certainty that Ross is the father of both Berkeley and Billion, Camille is moving forward in legal proceedings again, demanding that Ross provide child support immediately. Camille alleged that Ross hasn’t paid anything in the way of child support since she kicked him out of the house, and equally, he refused to pay because there had not been a DNA test.

Now that the DNA is confirmed, Camille is asking for help with her prenatal care and costs, as well as child support for the two children. She’s asking the judge for a hearing as soon as possible for temporary child support, as well as reimbursement on recent expenses for their children’s care.

A judge has yet to rule on Camille’s motion. We’ll keep you posted.

Chris Brown was beaming with pride when he shared his latest Instagram post, which includes photos of his two kids—5-year-old daughter Royalty and 5-month-old son Aeko—looking as adorable as ever. Chris has always been a proud papa since day one when Royalty was born in 2014, and that happiness only doubled when he welcomed Aeko with baby mama Ammika Harris back in November. The singer can often be found sharing the most melt-worthy shots on social media of his two little angels, who are both growing up so fast!

On Sunday, the “Wake Up Dead” singer posted the two photos on Instagram, captioned “Meet the Browns.” In the first shot, baby Aeko is looking off into the distance while taking a bath, surrounded by his toys. The next photo shows Royalty flashing a peace sign at the camera paired with a bright smile.

As far as we know, Chris is still unable to visit Aeko, as the infant and his mother, Ammika, have been stuck in Germany ever since the coronavirus pandemic in the U.S. prevented travel to and from Europe. Their separation has been super difficult on Chris, but at least he’s got Royalty to keep him company, assuming he’s able to see her.

Heems is an Indian-American rapper who was once apart of famed yet semi-controversial rap group Das Racist, which formed in Brooklyn, New York before disbanding circa 2012. Nonetheless Heems has continued his journey as an artist, going on to form Swet Shop Boys alongside Riz Ahmed. Last year, he actually came out as queer.

Today, Heems is in the news for an entirely different reason, but it’s one we’ve grown all too familiar with in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Heems’ father has passed away after suffering from the Coronavirus, and the rapper opened up about it to CNN.

Heems’ father was only 67 when he passed away, he had been living at a Long Island nursing home when the pandemic broke out, and caught the virus. This is apparently despite the fact that Heems’ had thought that his father was tested for COVID-19– buthe hadn’t been tested due to a lack of nasal swabs, as it turns out. “Why do I have to grieve with the notion of a supply chain?” he asks. We’ve been seeing many stories about the lack of testing readily available for those who need it.

Heems is still grateful for all the healthcare workers out there on the frontlines, adding, “I don’t operate from a place of hate or anger…” his voice trailed off, “but they never got swabs?”

“He was a prime candidate for something like this. But still that doesn’t ease my grief,” Heems continued later. “He seemingly went in his sleep peacefully. That is the narrative, at least, that I hope for.”

We’re sending our condolences to Heems’ and his family during this difficult time, and we’re hoping everyone is staying safe and staying home.

Roddy Ricch is officially a father! The 21-year-old recently welcomed his first child, a baby boy, with girlfriend, Allie Minati. Allie herself was reportedly the first to break the news, after sharing a photo of Roddy holding their newborn in his arms while looking lovingly into his eyes. The shot has since made its rounds on the Internet as the world freaks out over this unexpected announcement. Unfortunately, Allie has since taken the photo down and deactivated her account, reportedly due to some hate comments she received from some Roddy’s female fans. Some ladies were feeling a little bitter that they didn’t get the chance to lock Roddy down before he started a family with another woman, so they decided to project their anger onto his baby mother right after she gave birth.

While Allie’s original photo may have been removed, the adorable shot of Roddy and his baby boy has been saved and reposted by countless accounts. There’s also a clip going around of Allie showing off her baby bump a few weeks back when she was still pregnant.

The news came as a surprise to many of Roddy fans. Most of them had no idea that he was even in a relationship, let alone expecting a child with anyone. The young couple have managed to keep their love on the down low, maintaining their privacy by hardly ever posting each other on social media. Congrats to these two on their little bundle of joy!

Travis Scott is making sure to teach his 2-year-old daughter, Stormi, some valuable life skills, including how to shoot a basketball. The rapper and his little girl were making the most of their quarantine time by hitting the court on Tuesday to shoot some hoops, although one of them was a little more successful than the other. Travis shared a video of himself and his child with ex-girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, each practicing their jump shots.

Travis goes first, shooting a three-pointer with ease, and Stormi quickly follows suit. The toddler attempts to throw the ball towards the hoop just like her daddy, but she’s still a bit too small right now to get much air. However, she gets an A for effort and for being so cute.

Travis, who revealed that he’s been working on new music while in quarantine, also included a photo of some speakers in the post, captioned “…!..” It’s unclear whether the court where the father-daughter duo were shooting hoops is on public or private property, as fans have speculated that Travis is self-isolating at Kylie’s house along with Stormi. While it was practically certain earlier this month that the two co-parents had reconciled their romance, according to Kylie’s nephew, Mason Disick, that is not true. The 10-year-old son of Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick denounced these claims when he went live on Instagram on Tuesday, after a viewer asked if his aunt and her ex had gotten back together. It’s possible that Mason just doesn’t have all the facts yet, but he seemed pretty certain about Kylie and Travis’ relationship status.
