Twenty-four hours after news surfaced that Tekashi 6ix9ine was facing a $2.25 million lawsuit from Fashion Nova, more legal troubles are said to await the disgraced rapper. As Tekashi 6ix9ine‘s alleged August release date approaches, it looks like people are coming for their coins. The rapper is currently in federal custody serving out his two-year sentence after turning State’s agent against his former accomplices. The future of his career hangs in the balance, but as his unwavering fans anticipate his freedom, 6ix9ine’s ex-friend has filed a lawsuit against him.

TMZ reports that a man named Shane Hardy has made accusations that Tekashi 6ix9ine, real name Daniel Hernandez, once ordered a hit on his life. Shane reportedly says that he and Hernandez had a disagreement way years ago about the “GUMMO” rapper’s connection with the Nine Trey Bloods. During his trial, Hardy claims his former friend admitted that “he directed Aaron ‘Bat’ Young and Jamel ‘Mel Murda’ Jones to shoot Hardy.”

In January 2018, Hardy was in Brooklyn when Young and Jones allegedly found him and shot at him multiple times. Amazingly, Hardy survived being shot in both the neck and back of the head. He’s suing Hernandez, Young, and Jones for unspecified damages. While Hernandez received a two-year sentence, Young and Jones’s sentences weren’t as short. Young received 20 years behind bars while Jones got 11. Both ended up pleading guilty.

In 2018, Hardy, whose nickname is “Snow Billy,” reportedly conducted an interview with the BBN Network and detailed being shot. You can check that out below.

Previously on Complex and Spotify’s Infamous: The Tekashi 6ix9ine Story podcast… Angie Martinez narrated the story of how the rainbow-haired rapper ended up getting kidnapped by his fellow Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods member, Anthony “Harv” Ellison. The episode left off with Tekashi and his manager, Shotti, plotting an attack on Harv to get back at him. Little did they know, the feds were spying on their moves and were on the verge of gathering enough evidence to take down Nine Trey. 

In Episode 7 of Infamous, titled “That’s What Rats Do”, it’s detailed how Tekashi cooperated with the feds in order to reduce his sentence and gain revenge over those who wronged him. After members of the gang first started being taken into custody, it wasn’t known that Tekashi would serve as a prime snitch in the case. However, suspicions arose when he was the only one brought out separately from the rest of his co-defendants when their indictments were being handed out. Initially, this exception was imagined to possibly be a result of his celebrity status. Soon, the world would discover that Tekashi was spilling all the beans to benefit himself.

All the charges Tekashi was facing should have amounted to a 47-year sentence, yet reports are now saying he could be released from prison as soon as August 2020. How did this happen? Well, he quickly plead guilty to racketeering and firearm offenses. The public became more convinced that Tekashi was ratting as the list of defendants in the federal case got longer, eventually implicating a dozen Nine Trey members. One theory for his willingness to cooperate were that he was looking for a ticket to escape the gang, which would be easy if most of its members were locked up. It was also suspected that he turned on Shotti because Tekashi thought his manager was stealing from him. Shotti was initially one of the only members refusing to plead guilty. Once he did, he still refused to snitch. 

The episode goes on to discuss the two other cooperating witnesses in the case that helped sentence so many Nine Trey members. 

The charges against Nicki Minaj‘s husband Kenneth Petty for failing to register as a sex offender in California have been dropped by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, but only because there is now a federal case against him for similar charges. According to The Blast, a hearing was held in L.A. court on Friday, where prosecutors told the judge that they were dropping the local charges against him.

Kenneth was charged in Beverly Hills back in November after he was pulled over by police and they discovered that he had never registered as a sex offender upon moving to California. Since it is against the law to move states or change addresses without reporting the move to the sex offender registry within an allotted amount of time, he was arrested by the Los Angeles District Attorney and ultimately released on a $20,000 bond.

While these charges have now been dropped, it’s only because there’s a more pressing case against him. Kenneth was indicted by the Federal Government this week, after still failing to register in California. He turned himself in and was arrested on a $100,000 bond. Now that there’s a federal case against Kenneth, the D.A.’s office decided to drop the charges against him. “The case was dismissed today because he is facing a similar charge in federal court,” a rep for the D.A’s office explained. Kenneth is facing up to 10 years behind bars if convicted on a federal level, but, according to The Blast, his lawyers may be under the belief that he could knock some time off if he manages to convince the judge in federal court that he didn’t explicitly intend to avoid registering after moving to Los Angeles. Upon his recent arrest, he was forced to hand over his passport and will be required to wear an ankle monitor upon his release.

Kenneth is required to register as a sex offender in the first place due to his conviction in 1995 for first-degree attempted rape. He served almost four years in New York federal prison for the crime. Nicki has been ridiculed for her association with him ever since she went public with their relationship, and she’s been on the receiving end of even more criticism since the news broke of his indictment.

Bay Area rapper Kafani is in some serious trouble with the law. If authorities are to be believed, Kafani was the leader of a multimillion-dollar scam that defrauded at least seven California residents. A report made by The Mercury News states that the 39-year-old has been named as a defendant in a federal case along with three others. They stand accused of operating a "wide-ranging fraudulent loan scam that prosecutors said dates back to 2018."

“In each of the instances being investigated, an unknown subject or subjects stole personal identifying information from the victim, used that information to open a bank account in the victim’s name, and established an email account using the victim’s name,” FBI Special Agent Armando Delgado-Campos stated. “The subjects would then use the victim’s identity to obtain a refinance loan, using the victim’s property as collateral.”

The Mercury News reports that Kafani took to his Instagram to call the allegations "slander" and "bullsh*t." The rapper insinuated that an ex-girlfriend sent "anonymous tips to FBI and send false emails to try and get you investigated.” He told his followers not to believe everything they read in the news. However, investigators claim that much of their evidence came from the rapper himself after his phone was tapped and they allegedly overheard him planning to steal from an old woman.

One victim reportedly has been tracking fraudulent loans being opened in her name for months, while two others saw that a $325K loan was made in their names and they had no idea how or why. Victims' identities were used to purchase bars of gold, "including one gold bar order totaling nearly a $1 million from a victim in Beverly Hills."

Kafani was already on supervised release in connection with a conspiracy to commit wire fraud conviction from 2015. Back in 2013, Kafani was shot multiple times while filming a music video in Oakland and paralyzed. He was arrested and released last week after posting $250K bail.

In just a few months, Tekashi 6ix9ine will be released from prison. His polarizing case has been the subject of debate, as exhibited by Nick Cannon and VladTV during their recent discussion. The hip hop community has weighed in heavily about 6ix9ine turning federal witness against this former Nine Trey Bloods associates, and as we approach his release date, there’s more speculation as to how he will be received by the public.

Vlad argued that 6ix9ine only received a two-year sentence even though he was the person kicking up the most dust. Cannon disagreed. “I do believe there’s being a message sent to America, and you’re smarter than this Vlad—first of all, when I joke and say ‘Donnie Brasco’ and Tekashi was probably the FBI the entire time, let’s just talk about the FBI for a second.” Cannon stated that the FBI were criminals, themselves, and the way to infiltrate a community is to get to them through the music industry. 

“[They] will use this kid that has a lot of attention to take down that entire community—you wanna talk conspiracy, they got ’em all on conspiracy,” he added. “‘Cause [they’re] admitting stuff and it’s all on video. They’ve been doing this since the Mafia. this is a prime example of how the Federal Bureau of Investigation can take out an entire neighborhood, an entire community, an entire people and put them all in cages. And they used young Daniel to do it. That’s all they did.”

Nick Cannon said that 6ix9ine made good music, was in the spotlight and was making quite a bit of cash. It made the rapper a target, so he was a pawn, not a kingpin. “That kid ain’t no mastermind,” the media mogul said. “The FBI are the masterminds. The law enforcements. The police department who want to put black men in cages.” He added, “If he wasn’t an FBI agent, there was an FBI agent very close by.” Watch the exchange below.

It's clear that Azriel Clary is adjusting to a different pattern of life now that she's reunited with her family. The 21-year-old "ex-girlfriend" of R. Kelly has split from Kelly's other's partner Joycelyn Savage and the recent vicious physical altercation between the two women is an indication that they're no longer friends. There have been plenty of rumors about what's to come for Azriel in the future, as reports have stated that she's interested in working on her music career and helping women are victims of violence.

Azriel recently sat down for her first interview where she accused Kelly of physical abuse and nefarious practices, and according to her, it's only the beginning of her story. "They say the truth will set you free. So shoot. Ask me anything," Azriel wrote on Twitter recently. "Whatever you want to know. The good, the bad and the ugly. Go. I may not answer it now, but with time every question will be answered."

A fan was quick to respond. "Are you willing to cooperate with investigators and possibly testify at trial against R Kelly if called on?" Azriel replied that she doesn't have an issue with helping the prosecutors build a case against Kelly, but she strangely places her participation in the hands of his fans. "That depends on his fans, but one things for sure, they walking on thin ice," Azriel stated. "They’re definitely not about to disrespect me, my family, and 'attempt' to punch lies into my story because I choose to share with the world what I’ve endured. ?"

Meanwhile, Joycelyn reportedly continues to stand in Kelly's corner. She still has no contact with her parents and she verbalized in her fight video with Azriel that she finds her former friend's behaviors to be disrespectful to the disgracedd music icon.

Now that Azriel Clary is reportedly home with her family, the 21-year-old has been taking her life back. For years, Azriel has been living with R. Kelly and his other girlfriend, 24-year-old Joycelyn Savage, but since the singer was taken into custody, his empire has crumbled. Days ago, the world watched in horror as Azriel and Joycelyn reunited at Kelly’s Chicago Trump Tower apartment they all once cohabitated. Videos quickly circulated showing the young ladies verbally arguing with each other before the altercation turned physical.

“Joycelyn is sadly in jail for assault, I thank everyone for sending me lots of love and prayers. You all will know everything sooner than later. ???,” Azriel tweeted. Following their altercation, Joycelyn was arrested for domestic battery. Azriel also accused Joycelyn of having sex with her when she was underage. “I woke up today happy but torn, I didn’t come to Chicago for Robert… only for Joy, whom he purposely separated us because he knew I’d try to make her go home,” Azriel later wrote. “Please pray for Joy, this is just tough love so she can come to her own realization at her own timing. ❤️.”

On Friday, TMZ shared a report stating that Azriel is ready to work with authorities against Kelly, but she’s allegedly afraid of the repercussions. “She’s come to a realization that Kelly played mind games and manipulated her since she moved out of his Trump Tower condo and reconnected with her family,” the outlet states. TMZ added that Clary is also nervous because she’s lied to federal authorities in the past to help Kelly, so it’s unclear if she will face any charges for that. Azriel also reportedly signed a non-disclosure agreement with Kelly so she may not be able to share her story publicly without facing legal issues.

Meanwhile, Joycelyn has reportedly been released from jail. Kelly’s attorney, Steve Greenberg, issued a statement saying that Azriel and Joycelyn staged their fight and Azriel signed a document swearing she didn’t have sexual intercourse with Kelly when she was a minor.
