Tekashi 6ix9ine has shown time and time again that he cares about his position on the charts. Ever since he first started gaining attention, his entire modus operandi was to rub it in everybody's faces how he continually gets hits on the Billboard Hot 100.
While other artists -- *cough* Doja Cat -- seemingly could care less about their standing on the charts, Tekashi will be the first to remind people of how poorly they lived up to the hype.
During his 45-minute live-stream with DJ Akademiks, Blueface came into the conversation as 69 claimed that the man was a "one-hit-wonder." The Los Angeles rapper fought back, giving proof of all the songs he's charted in the last couple of years before his rainbow-haired rival packed a personal punch.

"This kid sold 12K with all these hits?" asked Tekashi 6ix9ine on Instagram, referring to the first-week sales for Find The Beat. The album came out during the same week as Rich The Kid's BOSS MAN but both artists were outshined by the deluxe edition of Lil Uzi Vert's Eternal Atake. Because of that, 6ix9ine decided to come after both rappers.
How do you see this progressing? Do you think Blueface and Tekashi 6ix9ine will meet up for the next cringe-worthy boxing display?
Rich The Kid & Blueface First-Week Sales Numbers Arrive
Rich The Kid and Blueface are unlikely to crack the Billboard 200 Top 20 with their new albums.
Blueface released his debut studio album Find The Beat last week, and Rich The Kid dropped his latest Boss Man on the same day. Although both artists would normally have turned in solid numbers any other week, the day ended up being filled with high-profile drops. Lil Uzi Vert came through with the deluxe edition of Eternal Atake, Jay Electronica released a collaborative effort with Jay-Z, and Don Toliver finally unleashed his new project. With all of those taking precedence to fans, RTK and Blueface unfortunately suffered in their first weeks out.
Maury Phillips/Getty ImagesIn the latest sales report showing the projections for next week's Billboard 200 chart, Blueface and Rich The Kid were not listed within the twenty highest-selling albums of the week. That was not a mistake. The two rappers are not currently on pace to move enough units of their respective albums to land in the Top 20 next week. Find The Beat and Boss Man are each expected to move approximately 15,000 to 20,000 equivalent album units. With the promotional measures that Blueface took, and the star-power Rich The Kid secured, neither has to be happy with these numbers.
Lil Uzi Vert will comfortably spend another week at the top spot of the Billboard 200, while Lil Baby will likely hit the second charting position. Don Toliver is expected to chart within the Top Ten.

Blueface "Find The Beat" Review
Album Review: Blueface may have found glimpses of the beat on his official debut, but his inability to hold long-term attention is to his detriment.
With conspicuous tattoos blanketing a quarter of his face and gaudy garnishings of jewelry usually swinging from his neck, Blueface’s mission isn’t exactly to blend in. The same can be said about his flow. Bull-rushing against the grain is what propelled the 23-year old to internet and hip-hop stardom. From attention-seeking, meme-generating social media antics to the often ridiculous nature of his lyrics – one way or another you’re going to notice the Cash Money West emcee. Find The Beat finds him leaning further into his contrarianism. Everything from the title to the cover art is meant to relay a core concept of the artist’s brand: stand out and make noise.
After a four-month delay, the album from rap’s fresh-faced bad boy is finally here. No expense was spared reining in contributions, with guest appearances by Gunna, Lil Baby, DaBaby, Ambjaay, Stunna 4 Vegas, NLE Choppa, Jeremih, and YBN Nahmir. The production is heavily injected with elements of piano-driven g-funk, but Blueface does push the envelope musically with tracks like “Obama,” which includes some jazz and progressive instrumental influences. A few bright spots notwithstanding, overall Find The Beat is an unimpressive collection of songs peppered with equally unimpressive lyricism from an emcee who is more flash than fire. Be that as it may, the project has a few fun tracks and some of the worst-but-funniest bars you will hear from anyone.
There are a few gems but those pebbles in “Street Sh*t” and “Dirty” are offset by tremendous blemishes like “Carna Asada.” Sadly, Find The Beat did not seamlessly sync up with Blueface’s previous work. An overuse of autotune halfway through the project almost completely derails the momentum, rendering it unlistenable in spots. Parts go from tolerable to just awful, feeling a bit more like a mixtape than an album. Important to note he did stay on the beat for a good portion of the album, however. So it is fair to say he accomplished his goal in some capacity, right?

Small victory aside, it’s ultimately a disappointment and lacks growth from his previous project Dirt Bag. There are a distinct crop of decent songs and a very identifiable group of really bad ones. As the title and quotes from his 92.3 interviews show the rapper has a more than fair level of self-awareness; he’s conscious of his limitations as an emcee but plays to his strengths. Things you have to respect. Lil Uzi even gave him a stamp of approval and hinted at the two working together in the future, so all is not grim for the artist.
Blueface is a thought-provoking reflection of his generation. In theory, a caricature of the early 2000s rappers. An illustration of hyper-reality and over-the-top recreations of the normal. An internet troll with the microphone and the floor. I must give him credit for the sarcastic quip which does keep me engage to a degree as the album matures. His over-the-top disposition paired with sarcastic, partially comedic inflection isn’t bad and the lyrics come off competitively hysterical for almost half of the run time. He embraces defamation and in many ways uses it as fuel to feed his persona. He’s a strange study in perceptive polarization.
Blueface told Real 92.3 that he’s already peaking beyond his rap career, hinting at moving onto the big screen. At one point in the interview, he was asked how he learned to work the internet to his advantage. To that, he responded “that was my whole come up, the internet. This day and age, that’s where it’s at. It’s almost like there’s a science to this sh*t. It’s not even about how good or how not good or any of that. You have to come up with a science project to go viral.” He’s a master at playing to his gimmick which no doubt takes a certain level of genius. What is unknown is whether he takes himself seriously. He’s in it for the moment to get what he can get out of it and then it will be over. Blueface is an artist that can manufacture magic with songs like “Thotiana” though he’s wasn’t able to capture that spark on Find The Beat. And yet despite lacking genuine ambition for musical longevity, Blueface has carved out a niche in the world of rap. For that, you have to give him credit.
Lil Uzi Vert Gives Blueface’s "Find The Beat" Seal of Approval
Lil Uzi Vert praised Blueface’s debut album, “Find The Beat,” and let him know that he’s down to make some magic in the studio.
Lil Uzi Vert is a big fan of Blueface’s freshly dropped debut album, Find The Beat, so much so that he’s looking to collab with the novelty rapper in the near future. After several delays and persistent frustration from his fans, Blueface finally dropped his debut effort, Find The Beat, on Friday. The album has been a long time coming, after he failed to deliver on the initial release date of December 6th, and again on the follow-up date of January 17th. After postponing twice, he promised that Find The Beat would arrive on March 13th, and wouldn’t you know, he finally came through.

Regardless of how you feel about the notoriously offbeat (literally) rapper, he’s got some pretty major co-signs, with one such stamp of approval from Lil Uzi Vert himself. A man in the midst of his own major album rollout, Uzi took the time to shoot Blueface a message about how much he loved his project, and even told him to hit him up to join forces in the studio. Blueface shared a screenshot of their exchange on his Instagram story, leaving off on a bit of a cliffhanger for fans of both artists.
“Album fye,” Uzi told Blueface over text. “Lmk when u tryna work cuhz.” Blueface replied with sincere gratitude for the acclaim, writing, “Dat mean a lot coming from you bro.” It looks like Uzi was in the middle of typing his response, but Blueface was too eager to share the heartfelt moment, and the “typing” ellipses were frozen in time forever.

A collaboration between the two artists has been teased in the past, with implications that the track has already been made. However, nothing ever came of it, so maybe now is our chance to finally see Uzi and Blueface link up to deliver some heat.
Blueface Trolls Nick Cannon With Mariah Carey Crush Reveal
Blueface was on Nick Cannon Radio when he revealed that his childhood crush is Mariah Carey.
Blueface is fresh off the release of his debut album Find The Beat, which came out today. With features from DaBaby, Lil Baby, Gunna, Ambjaay, and more, this is the first time we get to hear the Los Angeles native on a full-length display. He has been on somewhat of a local press run, visiting all of the West Coast-based media staples and, of course, that meant a trip to Nick Cannon‘s radio show. Answering questions about his sex education and the new album, Blueface also revealed who his childhood crush was, trolling the host in the process.
When met with the question, Blueface gave it some thought before explaining that Mariah Carey is his biggest crush.
“This n***a,” uttered Nick Cannon under his breath. “I don’t think she’s single. I could hook it up for you though. She got a little dancer boyfriend.”
Roger Kisby/Getty ImagesIn case you somehow forgot, Nick Cannon was famously married to Mariah Carey for eight years. On the real though, Christina Milian earned a legit stamp of approval from Blueface before he found out that she actually just had a baby. He admits that he’s not particularly into famous girls, telling Cannon that most of the women he interacts with are “regular.”
Watch the full interview below, and fast-forward to the Mariah Carey mention at the 8-minute mark.
Blueface Reveals Actual Release Date For "Find The Beat"
Blueface has announced the new release date for his upcoming debut album, “Find The Beat,” after falling through on dropping it in January.
Blueface has promised that he will be dropping his upcoming debut album, Find The Beat, this month, after he failed to deliver on the initial release date in January. Blueface first announced Find The Beat back in September, before revealing the tracklist a few weeks later. His debut was initially supposed to be released on December 6th, but the date came and went without any sign of a drop. Then, the artist took to Instagram to announce that Find The Beat would really be dropping in the new year on January 17th but, once again, nothing. Now that March is upon us, the Internet sensation rapper has decided to stop playing by revealing that he will be dropping his official debut album later this month on March 13th.
“Okay guys jokes over,” Blueface wrote on the throwback photo of himself. “Find the beat dropping March 13th.” Considering how long it’s been since he shared the tracklist, it’s quite possible that the ultimate final product will look a little different. Though DaBaby, Jeremih, and Gunna will still be featured on the album, considering their collabs with Blueface (“Obama,” “Close Up,” and “First Class,” respectively) have already been released, the initial tracklist also features artists like Lil Baby, Gunna, Stunna 4 Vegas, NLE Choppa, and more. Check out the full tracklist below and let us know if you think it’ll stay the same come March 13th:
1. First Class Ft. Gunna
2. Weekend Ft. Lil Baby
3. Obama Ft. DaBaby
4. Double Back
5. Carne Asada Ft. Ambjaay
6. Wire Ft. Stunna4Vegas

Blueface is preparing for the release of his album "Find The Beat" and continues to promote the project with his DaBaby-assisted single.
Just over a week since they released their joint single "Obama," Blueface and DaBaby share bits from the set of their music video. The track is set to be included on Blueface's anticipated release Find The Beat, a project that the "Thotiana" rapper has been teasing for a while now. The Cash Money West rapper had a huge year in 2019 as his viral track topped the charts, and many are waiting to see if he'll be able to follow in the footsteps of his own success with his official debut.
On Tuesday (February 18), both Blueface and DaBaby shared some behind-the-scenes clips of themselves filming the visual that nicely coincides with an election year. The video is complete with a mock Oval Office and a fake Barack Obama behind the Commander-in-Chief's desk. The two rappers show off their shining jewelry for the camera as they take orders from the director as to how the scene will play out.
Blueface also uploaded a video of himself alongside the Fake Obama as the rapper attempts to teach him how to do his signature dance move. Unfortunately, it didn't come out just right, but that's because Impostor Obama has hip-action all his own. Check out the clips below along with Blueface and DaBaby's new single "Obama."
Blueface Shares Video Of Dance Challenge For Unreleased Song "Holy Moly"
Looks like Blueface might be responsible for a new dance challenge.
Cash Money West artist, Blueface, took to his Instagram account to reveal that he might be responsible for the next upcoming dance challenge. While his patented “Thotiana” ‘bust down’ dance shook up the hip-hop realm not too long ago, it looks like the brand new “Holy Moly” dance craze might share the same warm reception as the original hip thrust shuffle. However, there is one issue, this particular song has yet to even be released for the public to fully experience.
In the short clip, captioned, “How da hell its already a challenge to this song an it’s not even out yet ?,” three young women choreographed a quick routine to the limited audio snippet featuring the song’s sample of the notorious Friday After Next scene of Day-Day’s introduction to the Holy Moly donut shop. After a couple of 808s are introduced and Blueface raps his opening bars, “Forty leave ’em like a donut,” the clip comes to a screeching halt.
With the recent announcement of a release date for his debut LP, Find The Beat, we might get a full version of “Holy Moly” and witness a lot more dance challenges utilizing his potential hit single. Check out the video of the flawlessly-executed choreography in the video provided above.
Blueface Roasts Himself For Having Ridiculously Long Feet
“Size rifle and a half.”
Blueface can be a bit of a goofball on social media. Just in the past month, he’s been responsible for a few antics that got him featured in our headlines. First, he got in an unexpected (and unnecessary) spat with Lil Duval. It started with Blueface lecturing Shiggy about why he should stay in the comedy lane rather than dabbling in rap. Lil Duval, being a comedian who also happens to rap, came to Shiggy’s defense. Blueface doubled down on his stance that comedians shouldn’t rap, and clowned Lil Duval’s music and net worth. Following this incident, Blueface decided to give back to the needy for the holidays by heading to LA’s Skid Row and tossing cash at homeless people. The video he shared of this attempt at a charitable act received a ton of backlash for being insensitive.
This being said, Blueface has been an entertaining character online. The latest example of this is the video he shared on Instagram of a computerized female voice roasting him for his ridiculously long feat. The rapper is first seen standing in front of his blue Benz, before close-ups are provided of his feet and you could see that they are extensively elongated. The voiceover compares the appearance of his feet to a bunch of inanimate objects such as a meatball sub, a limousine and a rifle. The highlight might be when she jokes that his crossed toes are “making a promise.”
All this goofiness aside, Blueface’s debut album, Find The Beat, is set to drop on January 17. Listen to a new song by him, “Finesse The Beat“.
Blueface Announces New Release Date For "Find The Beat"
It looks like we will be receiving Blueface’s debut very shortly.
Blueface was undoubtedly one of the most entertaining rappers to emerge in 2020. Whether you like his music or not is completely objective but you can’t deny that the man’s music goes off in the club. “Thotiana” took over the world including the remix with YG and Cardi B while his polygamist lifestyle caught everyone’s attention.
Despite the handful of bangers released and headlines made, fans have still been waiting for the release of his debut album, Find The Beat. It appears as though it now has an official release date. The rapper shared a little snippet of an upcoming track while announcing that Find The Beat will be available on Jan. 17th.
Find The Beat was initially supposed to drop on December 6th, although the date came and went with no signs of the project. He didn’t end up being released and it took a while for Blueface to actually update fans on when they’d be able to receive it.
Blueface previously shared the project’s tracklist which includes appearances from Lil Baby, Gunna, DaBaby, Jeremih, NLE Choppa, YBN Nahmir, Stunna 4 Vegas and more.
