Following the airing of ESPN's "The Last Dance" documentary, there were reports going around that Scottie Pippen was upset with his famous teammate Michael Jordan. Pippen wasn't exactly portrayed in the best light during the documentary so it's easy to see why he would potentially be upset. After all, without Scottie, MJ doesn't win those six rings.
Well, it doesn't seem like things are too bad between the two as today, Pippen took to Twitter where he posted a throwback Thursday photo which depicts him holding up Michael Jordan after the infamous Flu Game. This took place during Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals and despite having really bad food poisoning Jordan scored 38 points and gave his Bulls a lead in the series.
If Pippen really had bad blood with MJ, he probably would have avoided posting this. With this in mind, we're glad the two are on good terms as they truly are the greatest duo in NBA history. As we mentioned, Jordan struggled to have playoff success before Pippen came along and without him, there is an argument to be made that MJ wouldn't have half as many titles.
As for the Flu Game, we're sure MJ never looked at pizza the same after that.
Michael Jordan’s "Flu Game" Pizza Delivery Guy Speaks Out
The guy who delivered the pizza to Michael Jordan ahead of the “flu game” refutes food poisoning claims made in “The Last Dance.”
ESPN’s The Last Dance documentary on Michael Jordan came out just in time for the coronavirus pandemic. Needless to say, it’s been a source of entertainment and distraction in the midst of the pandemic. Jordan gave the world an inside look into his life like never before, addressing a few of the myths surrounding his name.

The legendary flu game where Jordan put up 38 points after falling sick in Utah was debunked. Jordan, as well as others close to him, suggested he got food poisoning from bad pizza. Even his trainer Tim Grover said he had a bad feeling about it but the guy who made and delivered the pizza has stepped forth to address some of these claims.
Craig Fite, the man who claimed to have delivered the pizza, joined 1280 The Zone’s The Big Show On Monday, revealed that he was just hired to the pizza place and was apparently the only Bulls fan in the workplace or at least the only person willing to put down money on the Bulls. Fite said he delivered a large, thin-crust, extra pepperoni pizza by himself along with the driver — refuting claims that there were five people that delivered the pizza to Jordan.
“We go over and I knock on the door, and then this great guy who’s been saying all this crap lately — I’m sure that he’s a good guy,” Fite said, seemingly in reference to Tim Grover .“But anyway, he answers the door, barely opens up the door, and I said ‘hey,’ identified the company I was with, here’s the pizza delivery.’”
From there, Fite said that he asked if he could say hi to Mike quickly. “Mike’s in the room, sitting at the chair, he’s playing cards or whatever, and raises his hand, he said, ‘Thanks, man!'” Fire recounted. He quickly added that no one else got sick from anything prepared from his store that day.

Michael Jordan’s Trainer Gives Real Story Behind The "Flu Game"
Michael Jordan infamously played a phenomenal NBA Finals game while suffering flu-like symptoms.
If you’re a basketball fan, by now you’ve probably heard about Michael Jordan and his infamous “Flu Game” from Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz. Despite looking as if he was going to faint, Jordan put up a whopping 38 points en-route to a 90-88 win that had the whole basketball world in shock. At the end of the game, Jordan had to be helped off the court by Scottie Pippen as the fans in Utah couldn’t believe what they had just witnessed.
During an appearance on “Pardon My Take,” Jordan’s trainer Tim Grover spoke about the “Flu Game” and explained that it wasn’t actually the flu. Instead, Jordan had eaten some bad pizza the night before and it was wreaking havoc on his stomach.
“Then, about 3 o’ clock in the morning, I get a call to my room that just says, ‘Hey, man, come to MJ’s room’ and he’s literally curled up in the fetal position,” Grover said. “I’ve not known any flu that can hit you that fast, but I know how quick food poisoning can hit you.”
Grover noted that he was apprehensive about MJ eating the pizza because five delivery men had come to the door. Clearly, Grover seems to think there may have been some sabotage at play and that MJ was falling into a really elaborate trap.
Either way, everything worked out for the Bulls legend.
