It was a roaring celebration for Lousiana State University fans after the college football team took home the National Championship. They were able to get the best of the Clemson Tigers, and while there was much action on the field, the post-game antics of Odell Beckham Jr. were the focus of many reports.

The Cleveland Browns wide receiver was captured by cameras reportedly handing out stacks of cash to the LSU players—a move that wouldn't bode over well with the suit-and-tie types who frown on such antics. While he was heavily criticized for the controversial gifts, it was later revealed that the money wasn't even real.
The Advocate reported on Tuesday that they spoke with an LSU athletic official who confirmed that the cash was novelty money. The school is reportedly looking into the incident, anyway, to make sure that none of the players may have received any real cash from the NFL star. Beckham played for the LSU Tigers before being drafted into the NFL in 2014. NCAA players are prohibited from profiting from their participation in college football, and that's a common rule that OBJ is well aware of. Check out a clip of the football star handing out funny money below.
Chargers’ Antonio Gates Issues Statement Regarding His Retirement
One of the best tight ends ever is walking away from the game.
Antonio Gates is quite simply one of the best tight ends to ever play the game of football. As it stands, Gates ranks first all-time in tight end touchdowns with 116. He is third in receptions with 955 and third in yards with 11,841. Gates is 39 years old and for years now, there has been speculation about when he would want to walk away from the game. Today, Gates took to Twitter where he issued a statement to his fans. As he explains, he will finally be calling it a career after 16 incredible seasons with the Chargers.
Thanks to his personal accomplishments, Gates will certainly be a Hall of Fame candidate although it remains to be seen whether or not his efforts will not just be recognized but rewarded as well.
Gates' retirement will certainly serve as a blow to Chargers fans. Gates was part of some of the franchise's best years, especially dating back to when they were in San Diego. Moving forward, the Chargers appear to be in a bit of a rebuild as quarterback Philip Rivers' future is in question. Gates will forever be loved by the fanbase and NFL fans as a whole be appreciative for how he helped change the tight end position.
Tom Brady Hilariously Trolls Julian Edelman Over Recent Arrest
It's always fun when you can joke with your teammates.
Julian Edelman found himself in a bit of trouble this past weekend when he was arrested in Beverley Hills after jumping on a car and allegedly vandalizing it. Police say Edelman was intoxicated at the time and could even face charges if he doesn't make things right with the owner of the vehicle. Edelman isn't used to not playing football this time of year so perhaps this recent behavior is a manifestation of his boredom. Regardless, the incident is fairly embarrassing and we're sure Edelman would prefer to forget it ever happened.
Edelman's quarterback Tom Brady isn't so forgiving as he took to his IG story with a quick, yet hilarious troll regarding Edelman's situation. Brady showed off a bottle of his TB12 Electrolytes with the caption "@edelman11 it sounds like you need some of this."
It remains to be seen if Edelman will take up Brady on his offer. It's good to see the two can still joke with each other even after a disappointing end to their season. Brady has a huge decision to make in the offseason which could ultimately see him part ways with Edelman and the Patriots. In the meantime, hopefully Edelman can stay out of trouble.
Penn State FB Accused Of Hazing With References To Jerry Sandusky
This is not a good look for the school.
Penn State found themselves in a huge controversy a few years ago when it was revealed that one of their coaches, Jerry Sandusky, was bringing little kids around the locker room and sexually assaulting them. Sandusky allegedly did this for years and head coach Joe Paterno never did a thing about it despite having the situation brought to him. Now, the school could be in a whole heap of trouble for yet another example of alleged sexual misconduct.
According to TMZ, former player Isaiah Humphries is suing the school, head coach, and star player Damion Barber for hazing he underwent while at the school. Humphries names four players in the lawsuit including Barber, Micah Parsons, Yetur Gross-Matos, and Jesse Luketa. Humphries says many of the upperclass players would sexually and violently haze freshman while saying phrases like “I am going to f*ck you” and “I am going to Sandusky you … This is Jerry.” Considering Penn State’s history, these references are quite shocking and troubling.

Some of Humphries’ allegations are quite disturbing. He said players would “present [their] penis close to the face of the lower classman and stroke his genitalia simulating the action of ejaculation.” They would also grab the genitals of lowerclass players. Perhaps the most egregious allegation is that upperclass players used to place their genitals on the butts of loweclass players and simulate masturbation.
The school investigated this and suspended Barber for one game but Humphries wants more action to take place. Humphries also alleges that he was threatened by Luketa who said he would be “gunned down” if he visited his city.

Antonio Brown Comments On Recent Run-In With The Police
AB wants to set the record straight.
Antonio Brown made quite a bit of news yesterday after police were called to his house in connection with a domestic dispute he was having with the mother of his children, Chelsie Kyriss. Brown claims Kyriss came to pick up his kids and eventually tried to steal one of his cars. When police showed up, Brown was quite vocal as he demanded Kyriss to be taken away from his property. AB had some strong words for the authorities on the scene which led to some criticism on social media.
Today, Brown took to Twitter where he spoke about his relationship with the police and how there is some history there. As he explains, police have been hostile with him and ultimately, he respects their authority. At the end of the day, he just feels like there has been some injustice.
"I respect authority with police the injustice just so unfair I had the biggest cop chase at @FIU ask Mario Cristobal in 2007 about the police how they had me gun point no reason then kicked me out school; pittsburgh police pulled me over before a game 2018 vs Carolina y us y me," AB wrote.
Brown is in the midst of trying to get back into the NFL and has even begun making music. In light of recent events, it will be interesting to see where AB's future lies.
Chad Johnson Confirms Kicker Tryout With XFL’s Houston Roughnecks
Ochocinco looking to join the XFL as a kicker.
Former NFL star Chad Johnson is hoping to add a new chapter to his football career, this time as a kicker in the XFL. The man known as Ochocinco took to twitter on Tuesday morning to reveal that he has officially lined up a tryout with the Houston Roughnecks on Monday, January 20.
Writes Johnson, "The opportunity to kick in the XFL has presented itself, i must tryout Monday in Houston, I’m excited as hell & I’m sure all will go well." The 42-year old even has dreams of turning this potential XFL gig into an opportunity with an NFL team.
"Pretty far fetched but imagine me being consistent during an XFL season & getting a chance at a 53 man roster in the NFL, even i don’t make it just being able to compete for a spot at a entirely different position will be so riveting."
We all know that Ochocinco made a name for himself as one of the league's top wide receivers in the 2000s, but he also displayed his kicking ability during a 2009 pre-season game, during which he connected on an extra point and kicked off for the Bengals. Of course, if Johnson does make the Roughnecks roster he won't be kicking any extra points because they simply don't exist in the XFL (click here for more on the XFL's unique rule book).
As seen in the IG post embedded below, Johnson has the leg power to put one through the uprights from distance as well.
Odell Beckham Jr. Gives LSU Players Stacks Of Cash After Title Game
OBJ congratulates LSU's receivers with wads of cash.
The NCAA probably isn't going to be happy about Odell Beckham Jr.'s antics following LSU's victory over the Clemson Tigers in the National Championship. That said, we highly doubt the former Bayou Bengal is at all concerned with the NCAA this morning.
As seen in the footage embedded below, OBJ was seen handing out wads of cash to LSU receivers Justin Jefferson and Jontre Kirklin on the field after the 42-25 victory.
Jefferson, who had nine catches for 106 yards, and Kirklin are juniors and therefore eligible to enter the 2020 NFL Draft. Assuming they do so, the NCAA really can't do anything about Beckham's generous title game reward. Jefferson, in particular, is expected to forego his senior season after he recorded 111 receptions for 1,540 yards and 18 touchdowns this season.
In addition to handing out stacks of money in plain sight, OBJ also celebrated with the team in the locker room - dancing and joking about selling Jefferson's game-worn cleats for $200,000 - all while former Ohio State star Ezekiel Elliott looked on. Check out that footage in the IG post embedded below.
Tom Brady Has Cleaned Out His Patriots Suite, Says Pat McAfee
McAfee thinks this is a significant gesture.
Tom Brady has a huge decision to make this offseason as he will become a free agent for the first time in his career. The New England Patriots quarterback recently lost a huge game against the Tennessee Titans and now, fans are contemplating whether or not he will want to return to the city he has called home for 20 years. During the most recent episode of The Pat McAfee Show, the former Colts punter spoke about some reports he saw which detailed how Brady has moved all of his stuff from his suite at Gillette Stadium.
As McAfee explains, players only do this when they are anticipating a change of scenery. McAfee spoke on his own experience and said he did the exact same thing when he knew his time in the league was up. He says other players have done this and that the Pats should take notice.
McAfee made sure to state that this isn't a telltale sign that Brady will leave. In fact, McAfee thinks it might be a leverage play so that the QB can get what he wants as soon as free agency starts. Regardless of what you believe, Brady's recent move is definitely a cause to raise your eyebrows.

Russell Wilson Forced Into Random Drug Test During Exit Interview
Wilson couldn't believe it.
Russell Wilson has always been a clean-cut quarterback who plays by the rules. Every time you hear about Wilson, he is doing something positive for his family, Seahawks fans, and his teammates. With this in mind, it would be unfathomable to think that he is using performance-enhancing drugs. These characteristics didn't stop the NFL from forcing Wilson into a random drug test on Monday. What makes this recent drug test particularly funny/newsworthy is the fact that it was done during his exit interview.
According to Joe Fann of NBC Sports, Wilson was in front of the media ready for his end of year interview when all of a sudden, he was told he had to complete the test. Wilson couldn't believe what he was hearing and thought he was being pranked. In the end, the test was very much real and he had to excuse himself before returning shortly after.
These tests are usually standard and have been known to occur after a player has a particularly good game. Wilson's team lost on Sunday but he still played decent enough to win the game. Considering it's the end of the season, it shouldn't be surprising that a franchise quarterback would get tested, just as a precaution.
We're sure Wilson was just as shocked as his fans when it comes to the random test.
LSU Tops Clemson To Win The CFB National Title, Fans React
LSU quarterback Joe Burrow was a beast.
Last night was huge for college football fans as the LSU Tigers took on the Clemson Tigers in the National Championship game. Both teams came into this matchup with undefeated records and fans were curious to see which quarterback would end up on top. Of course, the two QB's were Joe Burrow for LSU and Trevor Lawrence for Clemson. In the end, Burrow and LSU came out on top with an impressive 42-25 win. Burrow threw for five touchdowns and ran for one as his team hoisted the championship trophy.
This season was one to remember for Burrow as he broke multiple touchdown records while also winning the Heisman. This Spring, Burrow will be drafted into the NFL and many people think he will go to the Cincinnati Bengals with the first overall pick.
Fans were quick to react to the win on social media, as many LSU fans were happy about the huge win. LSU has been in Alabama's shadow for a while now although this year they were able to get the weight off their backs and come through with a season to remember.
