Conservative commentator Candace Owens has been extremely vocal in the last week as protests continue to divide the country. The murder of George Floyd sparked public outrage, which has led to this current state of social and political unrest. Owens is not pleased about how Floyd is being painted as a hero though, taking to numerous platforms to attempt to tear down his character.
"George Floyd is being uplifted like he's an amazing human being, and for those of you who have not yet seen the clips or did not pursue or wait for more clips to come out—first and foremost, George Floyd, at the time of his arrest was high on fentanyl and he was high on methamphetamine," said Owens before speaking about his criminal history.
She went on to say even more, claiming that he should not be celebrated on Twitter.
"We should not be honoring #GeorgeFloyd," she wrote after slandering Joe Biden.

In the latest development surrounding Candace Owens, the commentator has been suspended from her GoFundMe account as a direct result of her comments about George Floyd.
The decision was made to block her account on Sunday after she had raised over $200,000 for an Alabama bar owner who called Floyd a "thug."
"GoFundMe has suspended the account associated with Candace Owens and the GoFundMe campaign has been removed because of a repeated pattern of inflammatory statements that spread hate, discrimination, intolerance and falsehoods against the black community at a time of profound national crisis," said the company in a statement. "These actions violate our terms of service."
Owens responded to the ban, confirming that the money will still go to the bar.
"While I am glad they will give the funds raised this far to the cafe to the owner, I am angry that such a blatant form of discrimination is acceptable by @gofundme. There was NOTHING intolerant or violent about raising funds to help a conservative business owner," she said.
George Floyd GoFundMe Records Most Donations Ever
George Floyd’s murder has changed the world like never before, recording the highest-ever number of donations on a single GoFundMe campaign.
George Floyd’s daughter declared as she sat atop Stephen Jackson’s shoulders at a recent protest: “Daddy changed the world!” She was right.
As protests continue on and force world leaders to consider re-structuring the way systems have been destroying certain communities, a donation-based effort for the family of George Floyd has broken records as the campaign that has officially earned the most-ever donations in GoFundMe history.
Launched just over a week ago, the Official George Floyd Memorial Fund has earned the most donations on a single GoFundMe campaign ever, so says a spokesperson for the website.
Over 500,000 people have contributed to the fund with monetary donations, also leaving kind messages in the comments. People from over 125 countries have joined the cause and, in total, $13 million has been raised so far.

According to Floyd’s sister Philonise, the money raised will be used to cover funeral and burial expenses, counseling, lodging and travel for court proceedings, and his family as they seek justice for his murder. Some of the money will also be put aside for George’s kids to provide for their education.
Not so shockingly, the second place on GoFundMe’s list of the most-donated-to campaigns is one to have a wall built at America’s southern border. That has raised over $25 million with over 300,000 donations.

Shaq Covers Funeral Costs For 11-Year-Old Killed In Car Crash
Shaq wanted to help a grieving family lay their 11-year-old son to rest following a car crash that resulted in his death and the loss of a 12-year-old.
These are strange, trying times we’re living in. Millions of people are struggling from day-to-day and many families are consumed with trying to keep their households healthy and safe from COVID-19. Sadly, even with “Stay Home” orders in place, people still need to commute. In Lousiana, a tragic car crash resulted in the deaths of two children: 11-year-old Keshon Batiste and 12-year-old Trayvon Alexander. The two boys were passengers in the backseat of a vehicle when the person behind the wheel reportedly ran a stop sign, went through a ditch, and finally hit a tree.

It’s reported that Trayvon’s family was able to cover his funeral costs, but Keshon’s loved ones were having a difficult time coming up with all of the money needed to lay him to rest. They launched a GoFundMe crowdfunding campaign and once someone told Shaq about the story, he reached out and paid the remaining balance of approximately $4K.
This isn’t the first time Shaq has pulled a good deed such as this. Last year, Shaq covered the funeral costs for Jazmine Barnes, a seven-year-old who was shot and killed while riding in the car with her mother. Two men pulled alongside the vehicle and opened fire in a violent incident that was a tragic case of mistaken identity, according to police.
Pharrell Williams Catches Heat For Asking Public To Donate To COVID-19 Relief
Pharrell Williams recently shared a link to a crowdfunding campaign for COVID-19 relief efforts, but not everyone was happy to see a millionaire ask the public for money.
Celebrities have come forward to use their platforms to bring awareness to social distancing and COVID-19 relief efforts, but the public has often been biting toward their requests. Some famous figures have announced their generous donations to non-profits or directly to healthcare workers, but when Pharrell Williams asked for his followers to donate to the Frontline Responders Fund, he was met with backlash.

The award-winning artist shared a link to a GoFundMe crowdfunding campaign that has raised over $4 million to date, but not everyone thought it was appropriate for the multi-millionaire to ask donations. "Hospitals are running low on masks, gowns, and other critical items. We need to replenish their supplies," Pharrell tweeted. "Take action, make a donation, and ask others to join the fight. We’re in this together. Let’s protect the responders on the frontlines."
On person reminded him that he's "worth over $150 million" and that he needs to "donate [his] own money." Pharrell told the Twitter user that he just wanted to find a way for people to help. “So sorry if i wasn’t clear. I of course donated but wanted to make sure my followers had a way to get involved if they needed too." Recently, Metro Boomin called out those who were giving rich people a hard time about how much money they're donating to relief efforts. Do you think the rich and wealthy should ask the public to donate?
Cardi B’s Plans To Launch GoFundMe For "Tiger King" Joe Exotic Shut Down
GoFundMe won’t allow Cardi B to launch a page to help free Joe Exotic of “Tiger King” fame.
Joe Exotic is winning over the hearts of Netflix users ever since Tiger King launched, especially some of the biggest celebrities. Cardi Bis among those who’ve expressed their support for the incarcerated tiger owner who was jailed for his alleged involvement in a murder-for-hire plot. Cardi hit Twitter over the weekend after watching the docuseries to call out Carole Baskins and champion Joe Exotic. “Bout to start a gofundme account for Joe .He shall be free,” she tweeted before adding, “I Stan him…Leave me alone.”
Her plans to launch a GoFundMe account for him have been shut down, though. A GoFundMe rep confirmed to TMZ that, per their terms and agreements, they do not allow their platform to be used to raise funds for inmates convicted of violent crimes. Exotic was ultimately convicted for animal-related crimes as well as a murder-for-hire plot to murder the Tiger King antagonist, Carole Baskins.
Apparently, a page was actually launched under Cardi B’s name and raised $100. GoFundMe has since pulled the fundraising page and refunded the money to the donor(s).
Though the GoFundMe page may have been shut down, Joe Exotic has filed a near $100M lawsuit against the federal government alleging that he’s a victim of discrimination and was falsely arrested and imprisoned. We’ll keep you updated on any more developments surrounding his case.
Cardi B Calls For "Tiger King" Joe Exotic’s Freedom
Cardi B calls for Joe Exotic's freedom and pledges to launch a GoFundMe.
It seems like everyone has been tuning into Netflix's Tiger King this week. Viewers have been hashing out their thoughts surrounding the incarcerated Joe Exotic ever since Netflix debuted the docuseries recently. Joe Exotic's found some pretty famous supporters, as well, including Cardi B.
Seeing as how she's been practicing social distancing, Cardi B has clearly had some time to dive into Netflix. Though she admitted on Thursday that she was lost in the second episode because she was having sex, she clearly caught up on all the details. "Carol you think you slick bitch," she wrote on Twitter. She later retweeted a fan meme that read, "Carole Baskins fed her husband to the tigers." That's been a running theory throughout the series that Carole has denied.
Exotic is currently locked up for allegedly trying to set up the murder of Carole Baskin, who serves as the onscreen antagonist in the series. However, Cardi pledged to free the man. She even went as far as vowing to launch a GoFundMe in his honor. "Bout to start a gofundme account for Joe .He shall be free," she wrote. Chances are she's joking, though, but she clearly got invested in the series.
Joe Exotic has filed a $94M lawsuit against the federal government claiming that they've discriminated against and conspired against him to have him locked up.
NCAA Changes Mind About Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence’s Coronavirus GoFundMe
Clemson Tigers quarterback Trevor Lawrence has been permitted by the NCAA to raise money for those affected by coronavirus, after his fundraiser was briefly shut down.
Clemson Tigers quarterback Trevor Lawrence and his girlfriend, Marissa Mowry, have been given the green light to continue their GoFundMe to help those affected by coronavirus, after the NCAA initially shut down their fundraising efforts. On Monday, Lawrence and Mowry, a soccer play at Anderson University, launched the GoFundMe page to raise money for those who have been most deeply impacted by the coronavirus pandemic by offering some sort of relief. Despite their good intentions, it was reported that they were asked to deactivate the page by a compliance official, as it violated an NCAA policy that prohibits a player from using their name, image, and likeness for crowd funding.

Despite Lawrence and Mowry's initial disappointment, the NCAA decided to make an exception. The association issued a statement the following day, announcing that they will allow student athletes to raise money to help during this difficult time.
"We continue to work with member schools so they have the flexibility to ensure that student-athletes and communities impacted by this illness are supported, and we applaud Trevor for his efforts," the NCAA said in its statement. Clemson Athletics also issued a statement of their own on Twitter.
"In light of current circumstances surrounding COVID-19," they wrote, "the NCAA reached out to Clemson Athletics this evening informing us that they are waiving restrictions that had been in place and are now allowing institutions to utilize discretion with respect to fundraising efforts." Lawrence and Mowry later took to his Instagram stories to address the situation. "Shout out to the NCAA," Lawrence said. "Thank y'all so much for granting a waiver. They're allowing us to continue to raise money for what we were doing originally." They explained that they're going to figure out the best way to raise the money as fast and efficiently as possible and to reach as many folks as they can. They will also be writing letters to those affected by the coronavirus, as well as the health care workers who have been on the frontlines.
Stripper Who Fell Down 15-Foot Pole Has Eyes Set On New Career
Genea Sky is making major changes in her life post-accident.
Usually when a video goes viral of some painful-looking accident – or “epic fail” as they used to say – the viewers detach from their sympathetic sides and manage to derive some entertainment from the video. In the case of the stripper who fell down a 15-foot pole mid-routine and face-planted on stage, people were more concerned with her well-being than getting a laugh (although it was comical that she continued twerking post-plunge). The victim of this incident, Genea Sky, has been providing updates for the public on her recovery and, while she suffered some serious injuries, her spirits are remaining high.
Last week, Sky appeared on The Wendy Williams Show to discuss her experience and she revealed that she would not be returning to the stripping profession. The accident served as a turning point for her, motivating her to dedicate all her energy to becoming an aesthetician. However, while speaking to TMZ, she mentioned that there’s another dream job that she would be pursuing in a perfect world.
Sky fantasizes about being a food critic, since she “[eats] like a football player” and even calls herself a “chicken wing connoisseur.” Unfortunately, her jaw is wired shut at the moment after undergoing surgery to repair its break, so she is relegated to consuming food out of a straw for another three weeks. However, once she overcomes this stage, she will return to her gourmet ways. Sky estimates her overall recovery time to span 2-3 month “at the very minimum”, so you can donate to her GoFundMe page to help cover medical and living expenses in the meantime.
Texas Strip Club Where Performer Suffered Two-Story Fall Denies Responsibility
The CEO of the company that owns the club claims that dancers are responsible for the stunts they choose in their routines.
The viral video of a stripper falling down a 15-foot pole during a performance became even more unfortunate when it was learned that she suffered serious injuries. The victim, Genea Sky, has been documenting her condition and recovery on social media, detailing that she fractured her jaw, sprained an ankle and broke teeth. The club where she was dancing, Dallas’ XTC Cabaret, has now commented on the accident and is claiming no responsibility for it.
Eric Langan, CEO of RCI Hospitality Holdings Inc., the company which owns the club, told TMZ that dancers are responsible when putting themselves at risk, since they choose their own routines. Essentially, Langan is saying that it was Sky’s decision to climb to the top of that two-story pole, hence his company cannot be legally required to compensate her. However, he claimed that the club is looking for ways to offer Sky financial assistance. TMZ also reported that Langan made a disturbing remark about how Sky should worry about her health first and money second, even though that’s obviously a luxury that not everyone can afford.
While it remains uncertain whether the club will help Sky cover medical expenses, the good news is that her friend set up a GoFundMe page that has been attracting generous support. The page’s goal was set at $20,000, but, as of this article’s writing, has raised $31,260. The description notes that Sky will be out of work for some time due to her injuries, so donate if you can!
Stripper Who Fell Off 2-Story Pole Launches GoFundMe For Her Broken Jaw
Prayers up for Genea Sky.
A video surfaced over the weekend of a stripper who fell two stories high off of a pole onto the stage but still managed to continue dancing. Many applauded her for the smooth recovery after the drop. She simply got back up following the failed acrobatic attempt and began twerking and keeping the crowd well-entertained.
Unfortunately, she still faced some serious injuries, as you'd expect. In fact, it appears as though the injuries she sustained were so grave that she needs serious medical attention. She took to Twitter where she revealed that she fractured her jaw and is going into surgery today. One of her friends launched a GoFundMe on behalf of her in order to help with her medical bills.
"My friend Genea was in a horrible accident while she was working. She now has a fractured jaw, broken teeth, and a sprained ankle. Her job does not cover the expenses of her medical bills. Since she sustained such serious injuries, she will be out of work for an extended period of time. Any donations towards her surgeries would be helpful and appreciated! Thank you all in advance," it reads.
Following the incident, she shared a video revealing that she not only broke her jaw but also broke her teeth and had to get stitches. We wish Genea a speedy recovery.
