While the internet can open the door to no shortage of problems, it can also bring people together in unexpected fashions. For 11-year-old aspiring rapper Ray3 (formerly known as "HotBoyFire"), who won hearts by making an endearing and sincere declaration of his hip-hop dreams, his goal has come that much closer to reality after catching the attention of Kenny Beats. And let it be known -- though he may appear mild-mannered when the beat comes on he makes the quick transition into savage mode.
It started after Kenny caught a meme of Ray in action, setting up a suspended iPhone microphone on his bunkbed. "We gotta find him and get him some equipment !!!" declared Kenny, sparking a search party to form. Before long, Guapdad 4000 and Rob $tone had expressed interest in pitching in, as did Elite, Anthony Fantano, Oshi, and many more. After Kenny managed to secure Ray's YouTube page, he made the connection and ensured those following the storyline that the equipment was indeed being sent.
Kenny even hopped on Ray's IG Live to meet the kid face-to-face, and after a wholesome exchange the producer requested that his mother get in touch to finalize the shipping details. All things considered, it's nice to have a feel-good story to dive into, especially one that may very well up usher a young creative into a position to thrive. Much respect to Kenny Beats and all of those who helped come together for the youngster -- perhaps there's hope for us yet.
Guapdad 4000 & Lil B Squash Beef After Police Brutality Argument
Lil B and Guapdad 4000 hopped on the phone to speak about their differences, coming together at the end of the day.
Two Bay Area rappers, Lil B and Guapdad 4000, seemingly kicked off a feud this week after disagreeing over the former's remarks on police brutality. On Twitter, Lil B commented on the protests that have been taking place following the death of George Floyd and the Ferragamo Falcon took offense to something that was said, raising his eyebrows and asking for clarification.
"Police ain’t never jumped me but blacks did... I’m not against blacks and Im not against police," wrote Lil B, referencing the time he got attacked by A Boogie wit da Hoodie and PnB Rock at Rolling Loud.
"What A Boogie got to do with police brutality?," asked Guapdad 4000 in response.
"Mind ur business," clapped back Lil B. The Dolce & Gabanna Dalai Lama was unimpressed with his reaction.
"As hard as i got for you and say you influenced me ? That’s all you gotta say?," he wrote. "I got jumped by black people too ? Black people that work for a white man ? I’m not dragging them in this ? And if you tweet it .. it’s not just your business anymore ? Fasho bruh."
After a short-lived beef on social media, both sides apparently picked up the phone and got things sorted out.
"Just got off the phone with @guapdad4000 he taught me some game I needed to hear and remind me that we are in this together! The black struggle forever ! Thank you sir and black man," said Lil B. The sentiment was co-signed by Guap.
Thankfully, this got done pretty quickly. There is no time for petty feuds right now.
Bryson Tiller Joins Guapdad 4000 For The Latest "Rona Raps" Freestyle
Guapdad 4000 continues his quarantine freestyle sessions, titled “Rona Raps,” bringing Bryson Tiller into the fold.
Earlier today, both T-Pain and Bryson Tiller spoke out about being mislabeled within the music industry— mostly referring to the idea that they are “rappers.” “We’re just inspired by Rap music (as we should be because what’s life without Rap music) but at the Core it’s R&B!! Rapper Turnt Sanga! Sanga Turnt Rapper! perspective,” Tiller proclaimed.
That all being said, he’s definitely getting his rap on in this latest edition of Guapdad 4000’s “Rona Raps” series. The series came to fruition because of the COVID-19 times, and while social distancing may be lightening up a bit around the world, “Rona Raps” shows no signs of slowing down.
This particular episode follows up his session with TDE artist SiR and Shady Records artist Boogie, capping off the series at the ninth instalment. Guapdad has been flipping classic instrumentals for the series too, it’s worth noting.
Bryson Tiller kicks off the freestyle, with Guapdad taking over for the second half. Take a listen and let us know if you consider Bryson a rapper or not.
Guapdad 4000, SiR, & Boogie Flip Destiny’s Child For "Rona Raps"
Guapdad 4000 connects with TDE’s SiR and Shady Records’ Boogie for another slick episode of “Rona Raps.”
If one thing has become a constant, it’s the arrival of Guapdad 4000’s amazing “Rona Raps” series. Should you be unfamiliar with the premise, it’s relatively simple. A socially-distant Guapdad lights the signal, and before long his extensive list of hip-hop pals come a-calling. We’ve already seen appearances from Buddy, Lil Yachty, Curren$y, Rich Brian, Wiz Khalifa, Wowgr8, Murs, Kota the Friend, Denzel Curry, and many more — all of whom have done their part in dulling the quarantine-induced malaise.

Today, the latest episode has arrived featuring TDE‘s SiR and Shady Records’ Boogie, both of whom join Guapdad on Destiny’s Child’s classic “Say My Name” instrumental. At this point, it’s become quite clear that Guap is one of the nicest young rappers when it comes to the bars, his references sharp and his comedic timing impeccable. This one is no exception, as the Ferragamo Falcon takes to the up-tempo beat with little to no effort.
Upon passing the mic to SiR, the vibe takes an about-face turn though by no means in a negative way; TDE’s melodist brings no shortage of Inglewood swagger to the mix, his stop-and-start delivery a breath of fresh air. Closing things out is Boogie, joined by an additional harmonist as he fires off reflections. “I’m buying weed like everyday, this shit go too soon,” he raps. “I swear this shit don’t even get me faded like it used to / can’t be in the room no mo’, been sick in the hood I’m damn near immune, you know.”

Guapdad 4000, Curren$y, & Joey Bada$$ Flip An Akon Classic
Guapdad 4000 launches his fifth installment of “Rona Raps,” featuring guest verses from Joey Bada$$ and Curren$y.
Guapdad 4000 has been filling the void left by the absence of proper radio freestyles, which has all but ensured a scarcity of BARS. Thanks to his ongoing collaborative series Rona Raps, currently enjoying its fifth week, Guap has been ably keeping the spirit alive. With previous appearances from Buddy, Chris Brown, Denzel Curry, Wiz Khalifa, Rich Brian, and Lil Yachty, his fifth episode finds him calling on Joey Bada$$ and Curren$y to lay waste to an Akon classic.

Though he’s in esteemed company, Guap once again proves he’s among the game’s wittiest punchline rappers. “Skeet skeet on a pastor’s daughter at the church rap, she gave me big top on Sundays – that’s my church hat,” he raps. “Grill bounce light off my face, that’s solar flexin / give her something light in her stomach, that solar plexus.” Joey Bada$$ slides in next, his reflection on the current state of affairs appropriately bleak. “2020 vision shit that I done foreseen, walking outside shit looking like a horror scene,” he raps. “Can’t even cop no groceries without no glove and mask / everybody lookin’ like they bout to do a dash.”
It’s Curren$y, however, who steals the show with a dexterous update on his own situation. “I just copped a Rolls truck and I can’t roll around, unless I’m going to the store for somethin’ essential,” laments Spitta. “Lysol, toilet tissue, plastic cups, liquor, sour skittles / Hot Wheels i buy for my son? my grown ass, I be in the house playing with him.” Check it out for yourself, and should it make you want to revisit Akon and Styles P‘s classic “Locked Up,” take comfort in knowing that you wouldn’t be alone.
Guapdad 4000 Talks Fighting Russ, Buddy Collab Album, & More
Guapdad 4000 hit up ‘s hiphopheads for an extensive AMA, with topics ranging from Russ to Dreamville and more.
Even if you aren’t wholly familiar with the name Guapdad 4000 or one of his many aliases, it’s likely you’ve heard the Oakland rapper in some capacity. Having first made a notable impression on the Revenge Of The Dreamers 3 album, Guap has since become a rising star in his circle, winning hearts and minds with his ongoing “Rona Raps” series and his most recent batch of new singles. Now, the Ferragamo Falcon has taken to ‘s hiphopheads subreddit for an extensive AMA, fielding most of the questions with a refreshing directness.
When asked about his infamous scuffle with Russ, which ultimately led to Guap taking a sucker-punch for his troubles, he expressed interest in staging a more even-keeled rematch. “It’s so fucked up because as much as I want to catch that n****a Slippin he don’t come outside he’s not in the culture he’s not in the field nobodies legitimately friends with him that matters and that’s the type of people I be around so I would never see him to catch my fade,” he explains. “He makes his money and stays out the way. An admirable move for a less admirable bitch ass n***a.”

He also reveals that he’s been kicking around an idea, one that would find him in direct collaboration with Russ, albeit with a hostile twist. “I actually thought about challenging Russ to do a song with me where we diss each other and send in the verse to a neutral engineer who wouldn’t leak the verses to either side,” he reflects. “He would mix and then drop on SoundCloud. But I wanna fight that n***a to bad . Everybody knows i could out rap him. It’s kinda pointless.”
While there is plenty to unpack throughout the entire AMA, it should be noted that Guap did reveal he has an upcoming collaboration album with Buddy, as well as a few additional surprises tucked away in the cut. Not to mention, he’s been steadily waiting for J.I.D. to send him over a few tracks from the new Spillage Village album, so look for that to surface in the near future. Guapdad 4000, Wiz Khalifa, & Denzel Curry Spit "Rona Raps"
Guapdad 4000 unites with Denzel Curry and Wiz Khalifa for the latest edition of the "Rona Raps" cypher.
Guapdad 4000 has been filling a void in this post-quarantine world of ours, picking up where Funkmaster Flex and the LA Leakers left off as a key purveyor of BARS. For three weeks now, the Valentino Viper has been hosting the "Rona Raps" series, which finds he and his friends kicking bars Instagram. The first week featured he and Buddy ripping a J. Dilla banger. The second brought Chris Brown into the mix for a take on Q-Tip's "Vivrant Thing." Now, Guap has linked with Wiz Khalifa and Denzel Curry for his biggest installment yet.

Over Luniz classic "I Got 5 On It," Guap sets it off with yet another fire verse, proving that even in a casual state he's deadly with the words. "Walls famous like the Chinese one that hold the greatest / came up from running with cons, we all gangest," he spits, keeping the bars coming. "I might call up Chance The Rapper ask him what the Lord do, cause my raps is getting acidy they hydrochlorical."
"With all this Rona shit I got the ski mask on," spits Denzel Curry, growing out a quarantine beard for the occasion. "I ain't rapping fast, this ain't a ski mask song." As his verse progresses, the commentary emerges. "Fuck, I tell em it's no love," he declares, a changed man. "I don't want to dap, clap you up, and there's no hugs / stay your ass home, dance around in your bitch Uggs."
Sliding in from Denzel's makeshift hook, Wiz closes things out with a veteran's swagger. "Roll the weed pass it, n***as taking pieces of styles I already mastered," he spits. "Kush tastes fresh I just busted it out the plastic / social detachment being practiced, just me and a bad bitch plus I'm still stackin'." The Russ Hate Train does not stop.
It's not like artists are able to tour, or go to the studio (let alone leave their house) right now, so as you can imagine, plenty of artists are using this isolation time as an opportunity to work on new music, and share it with the fans. Some are putting on nightly IG live performances, interviewing fellow celebs on Live, or hosting insane competitions like Tory Lanez.
Among the rappers who are sharing in-the-moment updates on whatever it is they're working, there is the always-working Russ. Russ has been emblematic of the idiom that hard work pays off, after he essentially blew himself up when he went on an ambitious journey to drop one song a week for a year. It's become common knowledge that the man is disliked among hip-hop masses, and apparently we can count the talented producer slash singer Childish Major in that camp.

When Russ shared a video, innocently enough, that was captioned "bring soul samples back 2020." Childish re-shared with a comment, "Lol un quantize everything and it’ll be good." It wasn't too firey, let's be real, and it's unclear what exactly the tone is in his tweet. When a fan in reply to Childish said that they no longer listen to Russ, because Guapdad said so (stemming to the two's own beefing issues), Guap jumped right in to confirm this as fact: "Period."
Russ, perhaps always on the defensive, spoke back to Childish Major in a subtweet, and eventually, Boi-1da also chimed in, supporting Russ.
Childish replied from there, asking Russ to lighten up a bit. Maybe it was just a misconstrued light-hearted joke all along? Check out the banter below.
Chris Brown & Guapdad 4000 Body Quarantine Freestyle
Guapdad 4000 and Chris Brown connect for the second episode of "Rona Raps," bringing no shortage of quarantine bars.
Roughly a week has passed since Guapdad 4000 launched his ongoing "Rona Raps" series with an appearance from Buddy, and today's latest episode finds the Scamboy connecting with Chris Brown for a new batch of quarantine bars. Though you might think the subject matter would be tiresome by now, the fact that we're all in this together injects the verses with a feeling of camaraderie; after all, what does misery love if not company?

Taking to the Q-Tip's classic "Vivrant Thing" instrumental, Guapdad sets it off with some heat. "They said how'd you get corona boy, well shit is different," he spits. "I heard she was easy and pussy was killin n***as / I met her on the flight after a tour when I was leavin / I touched her, she came on me then I had trouble breathing." The schemes continue as he wraps up, reflecting on how "the industry like acne, your face get mushed / the whiteheads pop easy, the blackheads need a push."
Next up is Chris Brown in full Fallout 4 attire, foregoing his usual sung delivery to remind the masses how he gets down. "This damn virus got me stuck home," he raps. "Hopin that me and my family get the fuck on / when it's over, ladies I'm trying to get my fuck on / spraying the disinfectant like it's cologne." The onslaught continues as he finds a new pocket -- "My girl a Fashionova freak, well I guess I'm fashion overload / got a long stick in the drum like I'm Pinocchio / coronavirus try to hit me? I do the rope-a-dope."

Guapdad 4000 has launched a new series called "Rona Raps," bringing Buddy into the mix for some "quaran-sixteens."
A scammer with a heart of gold, Guapdad 4000 has officially done his part to combat the inevitable reality of cabin fever. Though in-person collaborations will fall to a minimum in the weeks to come, the Ferragamo Falcon has concocted a brilliant scheme to keep his skills sharp and his fans entertained. Introducing "RONA RAPS," an online cypher organized by Guap and co-hosted by one of his many emcee friends. For the inaugural launch, Guap has brought Buddy into the mix, who opted to choose a J Dilla classic for the occasion.

Despite the relatively low-stakes nature of the freestyle, Guapdad 4000 actually snaps. "Boss shit, I got options, I could opt in / I see red, pew, I'm Cyclops with the optics," he spits, before sliding into comedian mode. "Balls only blue when I fuck my crip bitch, she be like -- I'm cummin' Cuz." From there, the effortless flow only picks up, closing out with some heat. "It's the Rona Rap raptor, I'm sitting at home watching bad actors, hoping that this shit is not the rapture."
After a hearty proclamation of "quaran-sixteens," Buddy holds it down with the second verse, basing the majority of his flow-scheme around the hypnotic vocal sample. "Talking this and that, I heard the album and I thought the shit was wack," spits Buddy, Toy Story mug in hand for added impact. "I never would play myself out like that, but uhhhhhh I guess that's where you at n***a!" It didn't take long for rappers like Chance The Rapper, Mez, Yung Baby Tate, Lute, and more to hit the comment section feeling all the more inspired. Keep an eye out for Guapdad's next episode of "Rona Raps," which is set to feature an appearance from Smino.
