Police reportedly descended onto the arena at approximately 10:00pm. Video footage captured by various concertgoers shows what appears to be a fight breaking backstage. During the altercation, a gunshot can be heard.
Lil Baby was performing his song, "My Dawg" off his 2017 mixtape, Harder Than Hard: Gangster Grillz when the incident occurred. He promptly fled the scene as audience members scattered, bringing the concert to an abrupt halt. He appears to be alright, as he has updated his Instagram stories since the time of the shooting. He also posted a photo of himself posing in a convenience store with the location tagged, "Birmingham, Alabama."
"Blogs Post Anything For A Click," he wrote in the caption. "Sh*t Lame Get Off A Young N*gga Dicc." While it's possible he's referring to the reporting of the shooting, he may also be referring to the rumours that his crew jumped his fellow Quality Control artist, Offset. Lil Baby flat out denied these rumours and urged the media to stop reporting "fake news."
Teenager Shot & Killed In Brooklyn While Rapping On Facebook Live
No arrests have been made.
A Brooklyn teenager was murdered on Facebook live while rapping near his home earlier this week, according to CNN.
At approximately 6:45 PM, police received a 911 call regarding a shooting on Elton Street and New Lots Avenue in Brooklyn, where they would arrive to find 19-year-old, Jeremiah Dickey. Dickey had suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was unresponsive. He was later pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center.
According to his mother, Dickey was a good kid who loved to help others. She says there was no way she could have expected this.
The video has since been removed, but CNN says Dickey could be seen rapping in his car for 35 seconds. Dickey then looks up from the camera just before five gunshots go off.
The New York Daily News reports that the song “30” by Brooklyn rapper Blizzy Banks was playing.
"This is a terrible incident and our thoughts are with the victim and his loved ones," a Facebook company spokesperson tells CNN.
The NYPD has not made any arrests thus far, but the investigation is ongoing.
"I just miss my son," Dickey's mother, Debra, told CNN. "I shouldn't have to be sitting here sobbing while they're still out there running free."
Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Resort Security Breached, Police Fire Shots During Car Chase
This is the most recent of many security breaches at the Palm Beach resort.
A black SUV lead police officials on a car chase on Friday morning after breaching two security checkpoints at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach. The SUV headed toward the main entrance after managing to slide past both checkpoints, before officers from the Florida Highway Patrol intervened and attempted to catch the culprit. The SUV fled the scene as the highway patrol and one of the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office’s helicopters chased it. Authorities ultimately fired shots at the vehicle during the pursuit.

The sheriff’s office revealed that the vehicle was ultimately found and that two suspects had been taken into custody. Trump and Melania were scheduled to depart the White House for Mar-a-Lago the same day, but there is a possibility that this incident will impede on their plans. This is the second instance of a security breach at the Mar-a-Lago resort just this month, after police reported an unspecified event that occurred at the resort on January 6th. Multiple other instances of security breach have occurred at Mar-a-Lago prior to this month’s cases. In November, a Chinese businesswoman by the name of Yujing Zhang was sentenced to eight months in jail followed by deportation after being convicted of trespassing at Mar-a-Lago. She was detained in March after passing by at least five Secret Service agents and into the main reception area of Mar-a-Lago. Another Chinese woman, Lu Jing, was arrested in December for refusing to leave Mar-a-Lago after allegedly trespassing.
