Future is in disbelief that he actually beat the late Elvis Presley's record for Billboard Hot 100 entries. After his new album, High Off Life, officially went No. 1 this week, securing the rapper his seventh number one album of his career, Future got word that the project had also earned him another incredible Billboard feat. After recording his 110th entry this week, Future officially became the artist with the fourth highest number of hits on the Hot 100 chart, surpassing both Elvis Presley and Nicki Minaj, who are now tied in fifth place with 109 entries.

This accomplishment is impressive enough on its own, but Future couldn't believe that he had managed to beat out a rock legend like Elvis. On Tuesday (May 26th), the rapper took to Twitter to express his disbelief.
"7 number 1 albums and they mentioning me with ELVIS PRESLEY," he wrote. "Grateful and beyond THANKFUL." Ahead of Future for most entries of all time is Drake in the top spot with 222 entries, followed by the GLEE cast with 207. It was a humorous moment earlier this year when Drake discovered that he had officially tied with the cast of the musical TV series for the most Hot 100 entries after he and Future dropped "Life Is Good." Drake and the cast of GLEE, which hadn't been on the air for almost five years at that point, were tied with 207 entries each, but he managed to surpass them a few months later after he hopped on "Oprah's Bank Account" with Lil Yachty and DaBaby, breaking the record for most Hot 100 hits of all time.
Billboard Issues Response To 6ix9ine Accusations Of Manipulating Charts
Billboard doesn't take Tekashi 6ix9ine's accusations lightly, so they responded with a lengthy article about how they come up with their chart numbers.
He's commanding the attention of the world and it doesn't look as if Tekashi 6ix9ine is letting up anytime soon. The colorful rapper has been a tornado ever since he released his single "GOOBA" and now he's returned, accusing Billboard of manipulating the charts in order to keep him from having the No. 1 song on the Hot 100. Tekashi 6ix9ine blasted both Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber for inching ahead of him with their song "Stuck With U," saying that Ariana's team used multiple credit cards to get her song's numbers over the line.
View this post on Instagram@billboard YOU’RE A LIE AND CORRUPT. YOU GOT CAUGHT CHEATING AND THE WORLD WILL KNOW.
In his video, 6ix9ine also shows a chart of numbers where viewers can see that he had 51 million streams as compared to Billboards stats that showed 31 million. The rapper yells once again, accusing Billboard of doing dirty deeds behind the scenes. Billboard responded to the allegations, including noting that whatever chart 6ix9ine was referring to in his video isn't verifiable.
"The chart forecast referenced was not created nor provided by Billboard to the industry," they wrote in the article. "Those with access to sales, streaming and radio data from various sources often create their own chart models and update them at their own frequency. Billboard does not distribute any Hot 100 ranking forecast to labels, management or artists.
They also wrote that the number listed on 6ix9ine's "GOOBA" YouTube video shows global plays, while they only count U.S.-based plays. Billboard also addressed the "six credit cards" claim. "Billboard and Nielsen Music/MRC Data conducts audits on all sales reported with access to purchase-level detail, and works with data partners to recognize excessive bulk purchases and remove those units from the final sales total. All titles this week, as in every week, were put under the same scrutiny. (Billboard has reached out to Fame House/Bravado, retailer and reporter of director-to-consumer sales, for further comment about the sales data provided for 'Stuck With U.')
If you're looking for a comprehensive breakdown, you can check that out here. Meanwhile, Tekashi 6ix9ine continues to troll the company.
DaBaby’s "Nasty" Earned Ashanti An Impressive Hot 100 Achievement
Thanks to DaBaby’s Ashanti-featured song, “Nasty,” entering the Billboard Hot 100, the R&B singer officially has an entry in the chart from each of the last three decades.
DaBaby‘s song “Nasty,” was making waves before it was even released due to its sample of Ashanti‘s 2002 hit, “Baby,” and now, its earned the R&B singer an entry in the Billboard Hot 100 in each of the last three decades (2000s, 2010s, 2020s). Ashanti is certainly not a newcomer to the music scene, having launched her career nearly two decades ago and going on to become one of the most renowned female R&B artists of the early aughts. Although she was arguably in her prime in the early-to-mid 2000s, she continues to make music up to this day, and her latest Billboard feat proves that she’s got major staying power.

Ashanti shared the news herself on Instagram, taking a screenshot of a tweet from the Twitter account, @chartdata. “@ashanti has now earned a Hot 100 entry in each of the last three decades (2000s, 2010s, 2020s),” the tweet reads, which she shared with a series of emojis in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
Ashanti had plenty of hits on the Hot 100 in the 2000s, with her single, “Foolish,” off her self-titled debut album and her collaboration with Ja Rule titled, “Always On Time,” both peaking at No. 1 in 2002. “What’s Luv?” with Fat Joe made it to No. 2 that same year, as did another Ja Rule joint called, “Rock Wit U (Awww Baby).” A myriad of her other hits made the Hot 100 from 2002-2005, along with a few entries in 2008-2009. Her only entry in the 2010s was “Start This Sh*t Off Right” with Lil Wayne and Mack Maine, which peaked at No. 76in 2018. So far, “Nasty,” which also features frequent DaBaby collaborator, Megan Thee Stallion, is her only entry in the 2020s, but the decade is still young. Congrats to this talented artist on her impressive accomplishment!
Lil Baby Ties With Prince & Paul McCartney’s Hot 100 Numbers
Lil Baby officially racked up the same amount of total hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as notable artists like Prince and post-Beatles Paul McCartney.
Lil Baby is officially up there with some legendary artists like Prince and Paul McCartney when it comes to their Billboard Hot 100 hits. Following the successful reception of his album, My Turn, which debuted at No. 1 this past week, Lil Baby has earned a whopping twelve additional hits on the Hot 100 chart. These twelve tracks join the album’s previously released singles, “Woah” and “Sum To Prove,” on the charts, giving Baby fourteen total cuts from My Turn on the charts right now. These debuts push the artist’s overall numbers to new heights, and have him sitting among some of the most notable acts of all time. With his My Turn charters, the 25-year-old has officially racked up a total of 47 Hot 100 hits in his career, tying him with the likes of Prince and Paul McCartney during his solo career.

It’s worth noting that Baby has achieved these numbers in less than two-and-a-half years, ever since his 2017 track “My Dawg” marked his first entry on the Hot 100. Accumulating 47 hits in that time span is commendable, especially since only one other artist has landed more songs on the chart in that time span. Drake, who is tied with the Glee Cast at 207 for the highest number of Hot 100 hits in history, has garnered 50 hits on the chart since Lil Baby started taking over, only 3 more than Baby’s total. Check out where Lil Baby’s My Turn hits debuted on the Hot 100 this week:
No. 18, “Heatin Up,” with Gunna
No. 23, “Commercial,” featuring Lil Uzi Vert
No. 28, “Live off My Closet,” featuring Future
No. 31, “Emotionally Scarred”
No. 48, “Grace,” with 42 Dugg
No. 54, “Get Ugly”
No. 58, “No Sucker,” with Moneybagg Yo
No. 59, “How”
No. 64, “Forever,” featuring Lil Wayne
No. 78, “Same Thing”
No. 91, “We Should,” with Young Thug
No. 99, “Can’t Explain”Roddy Ricch Refuses To Relinquish His Spot Atop The Hot 100
Roddy Ricch's "The Box" enjoys its eighth week at No. 1!
Roddy Ricch has been commanding the Billboard charts since we entered the new decade. Not only has his massive hit, "The Box", been sitting pretty at the top of the Hot 100, but its success has repeatedly propelled his debut album, Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial, to the top of the Billboard 200. The album, which released on December 21, has beat out other artists' first week sales for three nonconsecutive weeks.
Although PEMFBA did not clench the No. 1 spot again this week (it slipped from 4 to 5), "The Box" is still the biggest song in the country. This marks its eighth nonconsecutive week in this prized position. "The Box" continues to ward off Future and Drake's "Life Is Good" and Post Malone's "Circles", which sit just below.
"The Box" may maintain some power on next week's chart from finally getting an official music video last Friday, but it will be going head-to-head with releases from some major artists. SZA and Justin Timberlake's "The Other Side" from Trolls World Tour soundtrack is bound to get tons of radio play and make an impressive debut. Lady Gaga also just released "Stupid Love", the first single from her forthcoming album, Chromatica.
Another hip hop artist who performed really well on the charts this week is Youngboy Never BrokeAgain. His new album, Still Flexin Still Steppin, debuted at No. 2 (behind BTS' Map Of The Soul: 7) and landed him nine entries on the Hot 100.
Meek Mill Previews Snippet Of Unreleased Banger With Roddy Ricch
Meek Mill's teasing the follow-up to "CHAMPIONSHIPS" with an appearance from Roddy Ricch who has spent seven weeks atop the Hot 100 with "The Box."
Meek Mill and Roddy Ricch have a hit on the way. The Dream Chasers head honcho hit the 'Gram to preview an unreleased collab with "The Box" rapper. The snippet shared to Instagram only previewed Roddy Ricch's verse who celebrates his recent success while reflecting on his old life. "Make a hunnid off a lick, yeah-ah/ How I feel today/ I wanna ride the Wraith/ Bitch, your Rollie fake/ It's clouded in the face/ All I worry about is money and the drip all day/ Roddy Ricch, all a n***a do is Crip all day," he raps on the preview. Unfortunately, Meek cut it off before he previewed his own verse.
There's no telling when this might drop but hopefully, it arrives on Meek's next project. Meek and Roddy have worked together on a few occasions, most recently on "Letter 2 Nipsey" that they debuted at the Grammys during the tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle. Prior to that, Meek enlisted Roddy alongside Future and Young Thug for his Championships banger, "Splash Warning."
Meek was actually one of the first rappers who showed love to Roddy earlier on. Meek actually blessed Roddy with a Dream Chasers chain but prior to that, Meek brought Roddy Ricch out during Powerhouse 2018 to perform "Die Young." Hopefully, the new collaboration arrives sooner rather than later.
Pop Smoke’s "Dior" Lands On Hot 100 Charts
Pop Smoke's "Dior" single posthumously climbs up the Hot 100 charts, marking his second placement and first as a solo artist.
Pop Smoke's death has left a void in the Brooklyn drill scene, and songs like "Dior," and "Christopher Walken" serve as reminders of what he was bringing to the game. While he had yet to reach the pinnacle of his potential, Smoke was quickly solidifying himself as a fan-favorite, with his contribution to Travis Scott and the JACKBOYS' "Gatti" marking his first song to hit the Hot 100 charts. Now, Smoke has done it again -- though this time posthumously-- with "Dior."
Billboard have revealed their updated Hot 100 charts, where Pop Smoke's "Dior" is currently sitting at 49, between Migos, Young Thug, and Travis Scott's "Give No Fux" and Lil Baby's "Sum 2 Prove." In a bittersweet turn, the song's success likely came as a direct result of Smoke's passing, as is so often the case whenever the game loses an artist. It should be noted that upon its initial release, Pop Smoke's Meet The Woo 2 sold a solid 36,000 album-equivalent units. Not bad for a 20-year-old newcomer -- not bad at all.
It's unclear whether his fans will continue to drive his music up the charts, but it's certainly nice to see the young rapper's legacy continue to shine. "Dior" served as a strong serving of Smoke's modus operandi; baritone bars, a darkly orchestral instrumental, and an infectious refrain. There's no telling how far Pop Smoke might have gone had he not been murdered at the age of 20. At least we had a chance to Meet The Woo before he shuffled off this mortal coil. Rest in peace, Pop Smoke.
Drake Reacts To Tying Glee Cast For Most Billboard Hot 100 Entries
Drake got slaps for days.
Drake‘s out here doing numbers — that you cannot deny. The Toronto-bred rapper is the biggest star on the planet and anytime he decides to drops new music, it’s a bonafide hit. I mean, he even boasted in 2018 that he got more slaps than The Beatles and cemented this milestone with a tattoo of himself leading The Beatles on his arm.
Perhaps a tattoo of the Glee cast might be underway next. As the rapper reached his 207th Hot 100 entry with Future‘s “Life Is Good,” which debuted at #2, Drake is now neck-in-neck with Glee cast for most Hot 100 entries in the chart’s existence. Like any accomplishment, Drake took a moment to acknowledge the milestone on Instagram simply saying, “One more to go. Gleeful.” He shared this following a screenshot of the news.
There’s no doubt at this point that he won’t exceed Glee’s record already. In fact, if “War” was up for streaming, he probably would’ve surpassed them already. However, he does seem to be plotting on a new album in the foreseeable future. The rapper did seem to be in album mode towards the end of 2019. There have also been rumors of WAATBA 2 dropping, although there hasn’t been any solid indication of a sequel to their joint project arriving yet.
Keep your eyes peeled for more news of Drizzy Drake.
DJ Khaled Hints That He’s Got Another Drake Hit On The Way
It appears the Drake vocals came in, again.
Yesterday, Billboard's Hot 100 chart updated and revealed that Drake and Future's latest collab, "Life Is Good", debuted at No. 2, sitting beneath Roddy Ricch's "The Box". Even if it didn't clench the top spot, "Life Is Good" marks Drake's 207th Hot 100 entry, which ties him for most entries with none other than... The Glee Cast. It's pretty hilarious that such an impressive record is held by a show that was only around for six seasons, rather than by The Beatles or something, but it seems very likely that Drake will be able to surpass The Glee Cast. DJ Khaled has hinted that he could be partially responsible for securing this achievement for Drake.
Drake's official fansite, Word On Road, posted the news that Drake tied The Glee Cast's record on Instagram and Khaled popped up in the comments with the simple message: "Stay tuned". While pretty much anything Drake drops is guaranteed to appear on the Hot 100, DJ Khaled and Drake have a history of making hits. Look back to "I'm On One", "No New Friends" and "For Free".
Drake also acknowledged how close he is to reaching another milestone in his career. He posted a video of himself on his Instagram story saying, "One more to go. Gleeful!" Even if he didn't break that record with "Life Is Good", it did make him the only artist in history to have 100 singles placed in the Hot 100's Top 40.
Roddy Ricch’s "The Box" Claims No. 1 Spot On Charts For Second Week In A Row
"The Box" is heading for world domination.
Roddy Ricch is having a very fortuitous 2020. The 21-year-old Compton rapper made a case for his talent when his breakout single, "The Box," prevented Justin Bieber's "Yummy" from topping the charts earlier this month. Following Bieber's attempts and subsequent failure to debut "Yummy" at No. 1 in a panic, Bieber's ex Selena Gomez mirrored his public pleas for streams when Roddy's debut album, Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial, posed a threat to Selena's album, Rare, debuting at No. 1. While Selena may have ultimately achieved what she set out to, it wasn't without having to resort to desperately begging fans to help her get there, all because Roddy Ricch proved to be more powerful than either of these pop stars could have ever predicted. Now, Roddy has further solidified himself as a force to be reckoned with, as "The Box" spends a second consecutive week at No. 1 on the Hot 100 Charts.
As "The Box" remains perched at the top of the charts, Roddy becomes the first act in the 2020s to lead the Hot 100 for more than one week. When "The Box" first defeated "Yummy" for the coveted throne before Selena beat out Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial, Roddy had also become the first act in the 2020s to hold the #1 song and #1 album at the same time. Currently, "The Box" is preventing Future and Drake's new track "Life Is Good" from claiming the pole position. If Roddy's domination over some of the biggest artists in pop music wasn't impressive, his ability to block two of the world's biggest rappers from claiming the No. 1 spot sure is. Not only are Roddy's stats impressive in comparison to other artists on the charts right now, he's also giving last year's artists' numbers a run for their money. Roddy scored the highest streaming total with 77.2 million streams since Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus' "Old Town Road" totalled 86.2 million streams in July 2019. Roddy was also recently announced as one of the artists participating in a tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle at the Grammy Awards this upcoming Sunday.
